Found Chicky Char Chat through the Eatclub app and was so surprised at the quality of the meal. We had the Portuguese Chicken which was nice, the Alexandria Salad which was full of chicken and the medium would have been enough as a meal on its own. What surprised me was the size and taste of the souvlaki, juicy and full of flavour. Small salad and 1 or 2 Souvlaki would be more then enough for a big eater.

Its alright. I've had it twice and I think they're a decent local takeout joint. Not sure why their chips are that yellow tumeric color though - wonder if its the oil. Bit odd. Not a fan of their burger buns.

My go-to when I’m not sure what to have for dinner. You can’t go wrong with anything off the menu. The chicken is always moist, and they’ve got a great selection of healthy salads. I highly recommend the lemon potatoes and the burgers are incredible! I even gave the lentil burger a try and wasn’t disappointed. Moist and full of flavour!

Place is clean and neat, staff were friendly but a big mark down because they can't be bothered telling you if food has extras on it- like the mayo that is in the chicken and mushroom filo. Chips were ok but smothered in salt.

The seasoning or rub they apply to the chicken is just amazingly delicious. The restaurant is just full of great vibes. Pricing is in the $10+ but after having a meal here I will definitely say it's worth the price. I usually get chips as my side but the variety of salads on display had my mouth watering. To answer what you are wondering the salad was flavor packed and orgasmic. I'll definitely recommend this place to my travel friends and come back here when I'm back in Oz!

Bit out of my way but was drawn in by the eat club promo. I got the box special and boy was I happy. The signature burger is a true big unit, just like a signature burger should be, was absolutely spectacular. Chips are crispy and delicious, wings are succulent - not overly dry, not too small. Also the take away box was really good quality, something especially important at a time like this. Really solid food for a decent price, will be back to try and breakie rolls!

Amazing food! This Cafe has the BEST rolls in all NSW , delicious potato salad and chicken! I am not even exaggerating, I love this place and I go there every week! Coffee is great, baristas are nice and helpful. Today my husband complimented them on their potato salad (it is just amazing!) and the girl so kindly explained how to prepare it and even what type of mayo to use :) Thanks!

A great Friday night no cooking treat. We get the family pack and it feeds 2 adults plus child for a couple of days. A decent sized bird cooked well, not overly salted. Good sauces to accompany and I like their beetroot salad and roast veg sided. On a side note reheat their chips in a dry frypan the next day and their good as new.

I love this place! They have lots of options that all taste great. Its a fantastic spot for a quick lunch / dinner. They also do coffee in the morning & you can get some takeaway salad if you need lunch for work. The staff are very friendly and service is relatively fast. My only complaint which is no fault of the restaurant is the hoards of tourists that come through here with the shopping tours. These people are often rude and for some reason disconnected from normal society. Regardless, I still come in because i love the food :) They also deliver through ubereats which is a bonus!

I have been here numerous times and in my opinion is one of the best chicken shops I have ever been to! Food tastes great (of course the chicken is good, but also the Alexandria Salad, chicky roll, and chicken salt chips!), and the garlic sauce is excellent! Most of the time I am disappointed with the high cost of a meal compared to the small amount of food. Sometimes not even cooked or presented well. Well this was NOT that! Much to my surprise I got exactly what I paid for and some. The signature burger was delicious, filling, and cooked to perfection. The combination of ingredients could be tricky to pull off. With potential issues of balance and the buns falling apart. Yet down to the last bite there was a harmonious gathering and balance of meats, cheese, jalapenos, mustard, aioli, and a great set of buns. Washed down with a drink and accompanied with chips. This was a great meal!

One of the best beef burgers (Horny Cow) I have ever had...perfect amount of fresh beef, pickles, cheese and sauce. Yum! Can't recommend highly enough for a reasonably priced, quality eat. Tradies would do well to stop here. Got the Aussie roll and a coffee. both were great. The roll was large with lots of filling cooked well, wrapped well, good bun. The Coffee was not Bitter, temperature right. Had breakfast here this morning. Right on 7am. Woolies parking across road. Took G/F for breaky this morning. Absolutely loving Chicky Char Char. Drove by a few times with my partner and we kind of wrote it off as another charcoal chicken shop...what a mistake that was. I am proud to admit that in the last fortnight, we have indulged in CCC three times. The chips are crispy and you cannot go past the rosemary chili salt. Last week, I decided to try the special which from memory was a southern style honey chicken burger. I can safely say that it was the best burger that I have ever eaten. From someone that only ever eats beef burgers, that is a massive call. It was that good. The food is fresh and unlike most chicken shops, it isn't greasy at all. The salad selection is pretty great but a little on the pricey side (compared to how reasonable the burgers, etc are). I had the pearl couscous and was very happy. Check it out.

This is based on me buying chips and gravy only. Service - brusque Price - $6 for small chips, $8 for medium (no extra for the gravy.. Understandably) Taste - 5/10. Chips and gravy average at best Time - took 10mins. Restaurant itself was slow, but the stream of Uber Eats riders was constant. Would I go there again? No, I'd rather buy a deep fryer.

This place just started serving breakfast and we happened to be passing by with empty stomach around 7ish in the morning and decided to give it a try. The breakfast menu is available on the little clipboard menu laid out on each table and by the front. I got the green scrambled egg and my husband got the florentine eggs. Both were really good and beautifully presented. I love the bacon rose! My only reason for 4 stars was that the dish was a little too salty and I have a pretty heavy taste bud. Maybe it was just a fluke as they are just starting with their breakfast menu. In case you have a lighter taste bud, maybe request them to take it easy on the seasoning for your dish. Also, the service was friendly and we were the only one their eating breakfast so the food came very quickly.

I have been here 2-3 times in the past and I have found the food to be good. Portions are a bit small and the menu is a bit expensive but the taste is ok. Staff are ok, they are not exactly friendly but they are not bad either, they are middle of the road, maybe they could smile more but I can understand them in a way as I wouldn't be happy working on a Saturday either. If you are coming by car then good luck finding parking as there is none, I usually have to park 2-3 blocks away.

I stumbled upon Chicky Char Char earlier this year, and made the mistake of ordering Portuguese style chicken. And it was OK. There wasn't anything particularly great about it. It was just chicken. Recently, as I work in the area, I found myself hungry, and decided to give these guys a shot. I'm so very glad I did. This time, I ordered the BBQ chicken, after jonesing for the delicious BBQ chickens of my childhood years in Newcastle. It. Was. Magnificent. The skin was delicious and needed no adulteration from the various condiments on offer. The lemon potatoes were awesome too! Since then, I've branched out into their creamy potatoes. I would literally kill for these. I know the word "literally" is thrown around a bit these days, but you Simpsons fans will understand that this is my ribwich. I find myself there a couple of times a week, not because its local, but because the food is just sooooooo good. My tip is to go the good ol' BBQ Chicken and the creamy potatoes. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to the gym to work off my delicious meal!!!!
