Comments of Cottage Point Inn

Such a wonderful location, amazing food and service.
Even on a rainy day, the experience was sensational.
The view and the pieceful location made this venue even more enjoyable.
We ordered the 8 course degustation and each plate was delightful.
We watched the seaplane arrive and the owner personally went out on the boat to pick them up.
Will be back, thank you.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant, we went a few weeks ago for my birthday and the food was lovely as ever. So glad they managed to make it through COVID and open just a few weeks after lockdown (tough job for places that had to close for so many months). I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Beautiful setting and quite nice food apart from the minuscule portions
( sorry not fabulous and we dine at many top restaurants both hatted and casual) but you really need to be more relaxed about allowing well behaved dogs on your jetty close to the restaurant where owners can see them. Coming by boat , we love our small perfectly behaved dog who is welcomed at many of Sydney’s best restaurants that offer outdoor seating and better food and service than yours .
You completely ruled out any option of him being anywhere near the restaurant although you have outdoor seating .
Other guests completely agreed and insisted he be placed where they at least could see him and wave to me that he was ok. I got up every 15 minutes to check on him but your other guests had taken him under their wing .
A very unrelaxing dining experience which needn’t have been.

View was gorgeous even on a grey rainy day, the staff are super helpful and friendly!! Food was amazing and desert of banana cake, white chocolate ganache and rum was out of this world! My lovely partner isn’t an dessert person and wanted to order just dessert… great night!

Beautiful restaurant on the water at Cottage Point. Perfect for a long lunch with both indoor and outdoor seating. Vegetarian options available for the full degustation menu.
S.
Beautiful restaurant. Perfect place for lunch. Food is also lovely. Both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements are there.

We had a long, late, delicious lunch then stayed the night. Such a beautiful place to be. I wish we could stay for a week.

My wife and I had a very pleasant lunch experience yesterday. We last visited Cottage Point Inn from our yacht 3 years ago and it did not disappoint this time.
The service was prompt and discreet. The food was exquisite and adequate. The cocktails and wine choice was just fine.
Altogether a great day out. We will return soon.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, it was super easy to make a reservation and we were welcomed with a smile. The wait staff was super friendly and took the time to explain all the intricacies of the food & wine in detail. The quality and execution were first class, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. View was amazing!!

We enjoyed a fine menu of delicious and delicate flavors across fish, shell fish and meat. The setting could not be any more tranquil. The staff are professional and all have great character. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to anyone. I would like to particularly congratulate Shane and Armando who could not do enough for us. We would like to go back again soon.

A hidden gem!
The degustation menu was exceptional. The dishes had amazing flavours that worked so well. We thoroughly enjoyed every one of the 8 dishes as well as the extra complementary dishes.
Staff were friendly, professional and accommodating.
The atmosphere is great with beautiful views.

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed a late lunch here on a Monday. To be honest, it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in years. The food showcased local ingredients along with an element of creative overseas inspiration. Our favourite was the kangaroo with lemon murtle and the scallops. The menu is designed in an interesting manner with the option to individually choose. My wife and I shared dishes so got to sample the majority of the menu. Gorgeous vegetation options too. We do want to return soon to try the reminder. Wines featured blends that we’d hadn’t heard of so was impressed with trying new ones. Service was also brilliant.

Amazing food and a gorgeous apartment. Can't wait to stay again.

Delicious food and stunning location for a long lunch. Feel like you are a million miles away from Sydney but it's only a short drive! Service is a little quirky and not the fastest but hey, there's no need to rush in a place like this. The food is mostly very good with some innovative flavours and fresh ingredients.
E. C.
The most amazing food I’ve ever eaten. The staff were extremely lovely and went above and beyond. Food was absolutely delightful. Each dish was unique and tasted amazing. Everything was paired brilliantly. The location is brilliant and made for a very relaxing and peaceful afternoon! Would definitely recommend this to anyone, don’t miss out!

This was our fifth time back to Cottage Point Inn, for a-la-cart 3 course meal instead of the usual full degustation. The food is so good, very impressive tasty cuisine! The best spot and gourmet food in Sydney. Not going to saying any more and you just MUST try it
L.
Modern Australian food with a Japanese twist. Everything was well executed and staff were very professional but prices were a little steep. Great for a celebration though. Also, access is via lots of steps so be prepared to walk a little before you find the restaurant tucked in the bushes, or you can get yourself a boat. I recommend booking during daylight hours when you can also enjoy the view.

The Location is the number one priority lets face it. You can get a good meal almost anywhere, but you have to understand that dining involves more than taste. The scenery and general ambience of the venue is important. It adds value to the dining experience.
The food was just amazing. You could taste all the flavors as described. Its well worth the price. this restaurant is a good example of a team working together. The staff give the dishes a proper introduction so as to build up suspense. That adds to the flavor. the chef prepares the food to give you the climax after you taste it.
Thats how a restaurant should be, each facet working towards the best dining experience. The staff do not need to be jolly and be your friends, they are professional and courteous but not rude at all, just the perfect balance.
would I go back? for sure. I would rate this as one of the top 10 dining experiences in my life. Menu is simple yet complex and full of flavor that engages your senses.
P.S.
just a note, the chef is very good with seafood and poultry etc. Quail, duck, prawns, octopus were all noteworthy.
i would avoid their steak though, this is obviously not their specialty, in any case you should not go here for steak if that is your craving

Just returned from a truly amazing trip to Cottage Point restaurant by Sydney Sea plane. The restaurant was in the most perfect location, so beautiful. The food was divine and the staff were all fantastic. Particularly liked Jim and his quietly confident and utterly delicious drink selections.
Can’t recommend enough. Thanks to all involved! Happy 10 year wedding anniversary to us. One to remember!
K. k.
We tried 8 course degustation menu. All except for Liquorice cake desert was great. not fan of Liquorice...someone else may enjoy it more.
Pea soup, Scallops and Honey Parfait pre dessert, were standouts.
All meats dishes were perfectly cooked.
Great wine selection. Fantastic view (right on the water)and exceptional service.
Street parking but plenty of spots available
L. B.
Fantastic location right on the water. Amazing food - fine dining, plenty of interesting options with 4 course menu or degustation. Friendly staff. Accommodation in the apartments also beautiful. A lovely get away or special occasion venue.

My wife and I dined at Cottage Point Inn this evening for Valentine's Day. Our last visit to this great restaurant was five years ago (also on Valentine's), so tonight was a special re-tracing of old footsteps. The dinner kicked off on time at 6:30pm where our very jovial and friendly waiter sat us at our table, walked through the deg menu and oyster special(s), and checked dietary requirements. There were two oyster options so we ordered a selection of both, and with glasses of champagne we were ready for a gourmet trip down memory lane.
Unfortunately things went a little sidewards after that.
About 30 minutes had past as my wife and I watched platters of oysters, plates of amuse bouche, bowls of warm bread & butter, and even first courses of the degustation menu being served to other tables (including guests that arrived after us). We waited patiently for any of the service staff to notice our empty table, but it took another ten minutes for our original waiter to notice something wasn't quite right. He walked over quite apologetic, stating that he had forgot to put our order for oysters in, and thus the kitchen never started our dinner. Within five minutes, bread & butter was promptly delivered to our table, followed by the oysters - however in probably a rush, our waiter fumbled our order for both the natural and salmon roe choices, with only one set arriving. I hate wasting food, but we asked a nearby waitress to help fix the order (she turned out to be the saving grace for the evening, offering re-fills of their delicious bread).
So after a full hour had past, our deg menu finally began. From that moment onwards, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. The first course was a sublime pea soup, followed by a truly amazing quail and prawn course. The highlight was the beef main, serving an exceptionally well cooked tenderloin. Dessert was a bit ordinary - a chocolate and hazelnut mousse - simple flavours, but nothing special.
Our 5-course dinner (at $180pp) concluded after almost three hours. Overall, our dinner tonight at Cottage Point Inn was okay, but no where near our memory of when it was run by Guillaume Zika. I would go back, but perhaps on a not so busy night.
A. L.
One of the best fine dining experiences I have had. You notice the beautiful backdrop as soon as you step off the stairs leading down to the inn which was particularly beautiful on a warm winter’s day.
Staff were professional and friendly. They were extremely accommodating and patient with customers who had dietary requirements which was a big positive considering what the table next to us didn’t eat.
Food was excellent - every course was delicious, fresh and unique.
Only negative I had was that there was a long wait between courses. This may have been a result of covid but it wasn’t a huge issue considering it gave us more time to enjoy the view.

Beautiful afternoon spent at cottage Point Inn. Food and wine was exceptional, and the service wonderful! We had such a great time celebrating my partner's birthday. We'd love to come back soon!

Wow what an experience! At Cottage Point Inn you'll get absolutely gorgeous food at a stunning location. I think I would recommend going for lunch (we went for dinner and had the last of the sunset that was still gorgeous). The food was scrumptious and plated so beautifully. Everything we ate was a new experience for us, and we loved every second of it.

Cottage point Inn is a perfect location for parties, weddings, romantic dinners, views.

Took my fiance here for our anniversary, and venue was absolutely stunning! It's in such a secluded area away from the business of the city lifestyle and it's just peaceful serenity. Food however to be honest was not as amazing, small portions and was not really full by the end of it and not really worth what you pay for. But then again you can't find a location like this anywhere else, so still recommend for the stunning views!

Cottage Point Inn is a fantastic restaurant. The food combined with the exceptional service is why my husband and I keep coming back for over 10 years. It truly is a special place and I don't know of any other restaurant that offers exceptional service, great food and an amazing culinary experience. Every time we dine here, the experience is always wonderful. The serving sizes, are well proportioned allowing diners to get a full burst of flavours. It's fine dining at its best, however adds an extra special experience, given its national park surroundings and intimate experience. I truly disagree with the small food portions, portion sizes are a reasonable size and allow diners to enjoy and experience the variety and taste of the various dishes. I just want to mention, anyone looking to dine here, judge the restaurant for yourself and do not be taken aback by such horrible reviews, liaring about the food and quality of the restaurant. I just want to thank the Chef and restaurant owners for providing such a wonderful restaurant to the North Shore and Northern Beaches. You are amazing. See you again soon. Lillian.
J. B.
The location is sublime & the food matches this in quality. However, the service was excessively slow. Since it was a 36° day, I was disappointed that our requests for water were not attended to in a timely manner. Also, no Covid registration available. And parking is nonexistent.
R. L.
5 course degustation. Everything was great.
The best course turned out to be chilled pea soup!
See the photos! :)
OLD REVIEW June 2019
--
All very tasty. Excellent service. Nice view... except someone parked their boat in the way! Huge wine selection. Not unreasonably priced wine either. Liquorice cake was pretty nice. And the quail was very tender.
Goats curd was excellent and largish serve.
BTW on the way there if you hit the entrance to the National Park... Don't pay the $12 entry fee, because you have gone the wrong way and need to head back. :)
J. F.
Very consistent good food, we have been there many times! Flawless service in the best spot in Sydney, right on the water front, you could be anywhere in Amalfi Coast
S. M.
Beautiful, right on the water 💦 stunning. The sea plane lands and takes off to take advantage of this restaurant. Food stunning, staff very friendly. I can't wait to return

What a great experience. Fantastic setting on the water, great food and good service. Not cheap but this depends on your measure. Portions were not huge but the 4 course meal left us satisfied. Take comfortable shoes to walk back up the stone steps after dining.
I would recommend this place highly to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion.
S. B.
Great food and fantastic location. Service is also excellent. All dishes are combination of different flavours and textures the work well together. It's a truely unique dining experience. Highly recommended for special occasions

The food was very good for some dishes and average for some others . The waiter asked me if i am allergic to any food and what a surprise to see my tuna stuffed with exactly to what I am allergic (raw apples ). The staff is supposed to know exactly what the menu is made of . My husband asked for a mocktail, and they doesn't have freshly squizzed juices. The etiquette is to take the order first from ladies ( the oldest to the yungest) then gentlemen ( same oldest to the youngest ) but he refused to take my order first . If it was a cafe I would not have mention anything but a restaurant of this reputation should get a service near to perfection. We are in winter , sitting outside and I wander why there are heater as they were not on . May are they turning on in summer ? I was freezing even with 2 blankets and no one noticed it to offer us to eat inside . I f early so uncomfortable to wear my winter coat during the full lunch .When we left no one came to tell us "good bye" good points : mise en bouche is served before starter, bread and butter is given , pumpkin as complimentary side dish is included , and mignardises after desert is offered but still 400$ for 3 pers !!!

Lovely spot for a nice long lazy lunch. Food was perfect and we weren't in a rush to leave, which is just what we needed. Definitely will be going back
D. M.
Perfect
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The food is a wonderful imagination of flavours put together is such an interesting and intelligent way that every mouthful is an explosion of excitement for your taste buds. The service is very attentive, friendly and professional - what else is needed or wanted with service. There are many wonderful restaurants around the Northern Beaches area but this one is really the best.
What a lovely location to watch the boat planes come in, the native birds, the water, the bush - all this with wonderful food and excellent service. One of Sydney’s finest. Well done to all, go and enjoy.
M. B.
We had the 7 course degustation menu, and we could see that the Chef has techniques and knows how to balance flavours on the dish. Everything tasted amazing!
The location is beautiful and the service was great too!
Would suggest citronella candles outside, since can have some mosquitoes.
S. G.
Amazing food and views out over the water. We arrived on kayaks as a group of 6 and they were very accommodating. The only slightly negative thing the group commented on was the terrible odour in the bathrooms. Whikst the prices are high, so is the quality of the food and service - so overall very good value and highly recommended.

Wow. Wow. WOW! After having this on the 'to do' list for so long, finally found a free night to check it out. Utterly AMAZING. Best meal I've ever had. Scrumptious cocktails and wine to match. Degustation is an absolute must do. Staff and service cannot be beat, and felt welcomed with open arms and cheerful disposition. Cannot wait to come back.
V. O.
Beautiful restaurant in cottage point. Food was immaculate, service to match. One of my favourite dining experiences in Australia to date. The balmain bug tart, the pumpkin side dish and the chocolate dessert were the highlights for me.
M. B.
Definitely worth it!
We indulged in the 7 course degustation and it was so good, all the courses were delicious. Really unique and interesting flavours, only topped off by the great location.
Everyone was friendly and helpful, very good service.
Cocktail of the day was just right too!
M. O.
Great venue. Lovely view and breeze. Enjoyed the menu but found service slow. Set price for 4 courses works well but paying more for a few oysters a bit clumsy. Food fantastic which made it all very worthwhile.
M. V.
The food was delicious. You definitely need a minimum 3 hours there so it's not for anyone that's in a rush.
For a fine dining place I have to admit, the service should be better. For most there were no warm welcome, barely any smiles it's as though we were not welcome there.
The view you definitely cannot fault !
P. B.
A stunning, peaceful, location with fantastic views is just where it starts. The service is great, the menu has plenty of choices, and the food and wine is all top notch. The portion sizes are spot on. It isn't cheap, but you do get what you pay for.

Staying overnight is not for everyone. We are in our sixties, fit but struggled.
We arrived by car from Sydney for overnight stay and dinner at the restaurant. Parked on the street and walked down about 60 steps to the restaurant to book in. We were then escorted another 30 steps up to our room and handed a key, there was no instructions on how everything works, just goodbye have a nice stay. We then walked down the steps and up to our car to pick up our luggage, another 180 steps
At 6.30pm on a warm night we started to walk down to the restaurant but the lights on stairs were not working. Only half the stairs have hand rails and are very dangerous to navigate. We told the staff at the restaurant about the lights but nothing was done, also told them our fan above the bed was not working, still nothing done.
Entree and main was nice but dessert was ordinary. Wines were very much overpriced for the quality.
Next day another 90 steps with luggage up to our car.
L. W.
One of my favourite restaurant in Sydney, this where you go, to forget the hustle and bustle of city living. The food and service is wonderful. It is always a special treat for myself to come here every year on a special occasion, my birthday.
N. G.
Great food with outstanding views over the water. Don't expect to be feeling "stuffed" at the end - portion sizes are small but adequate. We were taken a bit by surprise by their pricing - having been offered some water with the menu, we didn't expect to be stung $12 for two. Quite a lot of steps to get in and out, so not for people with poor mobility.
b. b.
Amazing spot the food was nice a bit too salty for my liking but overall I enjoyed it booking is required is very busy so book early
D. K.
Special occasion, my wife's birthday lunch. Couldn't have been happier with the selection of the Cottage Point Inn to celebrate. Fabulous food, great service, set in beautiful surrounds, with a fantastic outlook/view. Highly recommended.
E. C.
Wow... what a wonderful dining experience! It certainly lives up to its 2 hat status. Wonderful use of the high quality produce creates a dining experience which makes you smile with every bite. Presentation is pretty as a picture and the service is professional and smooth. If your budget can handle it, go for the degustation and matching wine. I was lucky enough to celebrate a friend's birthday here for lunch with a prime spot of the water from our table outside. A nice touch was the blankets they provided when some of our diners felt a cool breeze.
D. N.
Amazing outlook over cottage point to accompany beautiful food. Couldn't be more serene. For us the picks from the menu were the quail appetizer and the mirror dory main. The side of pumpkin was a very pleasant surprise too. Our meal was also graced by a visiting friendly local bush turkey!
d.
Great lunch degustation meal had. Beautiful outlook. Don't fall for the cocktail while viewing menu and wine list- way too expensive. Only street parking. Despite the negs a lovely modern Australia meal! You can also access on a sea plane from Sydney.
D. V.
Amazing restaurant - but do not take the 'Dine + Stay' option, unless you like overpriced 1970s-style accomodation.
I wanted to give this review 5 stars purely on the basis of the quality of our dining experience; unfortunately, I am rating the accomodation at 1 star, so the average came to 3 stars.
RESTAURANT: The chef at this place is amazing, and creates dishes that have the perfect balance of flavours, textures and presentation. Service was great, and the views and atmosphere are AMAZING! Highly recommended for anyone in Sydney who enjoys fine dining and superb views!
ACCOMMODATION: Don't bother with their 'self contained' apartments; they are over-priced for what they are, and in the end it will drag down what should have been an amazing experience. You can find out more by looking at the photos I uploaded.
J. B.
The degustation was lovely, however, after several amazing visits to this restaurant, the service this time really detracted from the experience. The service started out well but became very slow, water was not replenished and our coffee order was forgotten.
K. P.
The location and the food were excellent - However our experience was soured due to the sneaky way they charged $12 per bottle of water which we did not request. A plain looking glass bottle is placed on the table with no comment regarding cost etc it is assumed that it is tap water, this bottle is replaced when ever it is empty, again not requested and no information given re cost, this adds up quickly, then the shock comes when you receive the bill with this rather large unexpected charge. Why not be up front?? We were very happy until that point and were annoyed by the sneaky tactics, as a result decided not to leave a tip.
S. H.
Sublime dining in simple, peaceful surroundings.
If you've made the journey all the way here you might as well hit the tasting menu with paired wines. It gives the excellent chef a chance to show you what a few years training in some of the best European restaurants can do when mixed with the finest Australian ingredients and a simple approach to achieving perfection.
Everything is executed with a light but game-changing touch, there's no ego and the enthusiastic if intense maître d' really knows his wine.
On a warm, sunny day I fail to see how this place could be any better.
J. W.
The food was divine and the service was pleasantly outstanding! The location was wonderful, extremely peaceful. Highly recommend 🌞

I went there on last Saturday. The food was excellent. The staffs were very friendly. The. view is very beautiful

A decade long bucket list item - brought back great memories and was well worth the wait. Lovely relaxing setting, fine food, superb service. No stuffiness or pretentiousness. Thank you to the lovely team at Cottage Point Inn.
K. P.
Amazing food. Amazing location. Amazing service. Can't fault it and will definitely go again!
A. S.
Arrived by boat. Was assisted into dock by friendly staff and the food and wine was superb. Perfect day.
M. H.
Excellent food, every course exceeded the next. All pretty unique and very tasty dishes, Beef cheeks were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Also a pretty cool location.
A. v.
Absolutely top knotch. I had my 50th there yesterday. It was better than I could have hoped. Incredible food and service and amazing outlook. The only downside was when we had to go. We will be back for sure. It's a special place
A. T.
Beautiful atmosphere,Very welcoming and attentive handsome staff. Absolutely delicious. Thank you for looking after us .
A. C.
We stayed for two nights in the Cowan Waters suite and had a fantastic time. We were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and Ally and her team made us feel very special. We had two beautiful dinners, one was the three course included meal, the other we upgraded to a 7 course degustation with matched wines, both were suburb with the most beautiful view. The suite we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable and has a great view over Pittwater. Cottage point is more relaxed country than city, so if you are expecting 5 star metro accommodation to match the 5 star restaurant, you maybe setting your expectations a bit too high. If you are looking to get away to a very quiet and remote part of Sydney to relax around very friendly and helpful people in a relaxed, clean and comfortable venue then this is your place!
N. K.
Pricey but a delight for a lingering delicious lunch
C. C.
Great experience by getting there via seaplane.
J. F.
Beautiful place set in magical settings, surrounded by estuaries and tall gum trees covered hills, great food creation, there is passion and love of food happening in the kitchen, this is truly an amazing place.
The nearby hills are covered in tall grass trees and tree ferns and all types of eucalyptus.
Flat bottom rocks jutting out of the hills provide perfect resting place and views over the bay.
N. M.
Magnificent location with exquisite food this is a truly wonderful experience. The staff are so welcoming and attentive, the degustation is the best way to experience the menu. Superb day out.
E. P.
Location amazing, food really good. Service was just average when we went. Slow, not really paying attention to us. Courteous but a bit indifferent. Wine matching splendid.
J. M.
Beautiful setting, delicious food, attentive staff, and excellent at catering for my food allergies! It was wonderful having staff be so helpful in finding alternatives and making dairy free coconut sorbet especially for me.
S. M.
We finished our first visit to this part of Australia with a delightful waterfront lunch accessed by the ferry. My only 'complaint' is that we didn't have time for further courses because we had to take the scheduled ferry back to our hosts' car. A wonderful day out on the water before moving on across the Tasman.
A. K.
Beautiful restaurant to celebrate something special in an intimate atmosphere. We go there few times a year and are never disappointed. The national park and river surrounding adds to the atmosphere.
J. G.
Excellent views over Cowan creek. Hardly a creek! A beautiful expanse of water with the restaurant hidden away on the side of a hill. Arrived by sea plane Ferry or Car(aporox 10 KL from Mona Vale Rd) Excellent service, even during the week. Fashionable 3 or 4 courses of elegantly presented cuisine and a Degustation menu if you can fit it all in.
A pleasent afternoons food adventure.
L. R.
Fantastic food in an idyllic location. Our favourite place for fine dining in Sydney. Quiet, intimate, great food and superbly matched wines. Highly recommended.
j. M.
Absolutely beautiful day, fantastic food, service & scenery. Thoroughly recommended for special occasion.
G. A.
Beautiful waterfront restaurant. Highest quality food and service. The chef helped us be gluten and dairy free and even made a custom dessert just for us.
T. H.
Wow is the only word to describe this place, its truly breath taking, we were lucky enough to get great weather, which added to the perfect day out! Staff are great and super helpful, food is unbelievable and it's definitely worth doing with that special someone
G. H.
Probably one of my favourite restaurants. I have arrived by sea plane, car and will try boat soon. Amaizing food, service, location and ambiance - top shelf without being too formal. Only ever been here when the sun is on.
N. D.
Hidden in the woods of Kuringai Chase National Park is a hidden gem for foodies. And hidden in the kitchen is a French chef who practices an art of turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary concoctions. Combine that with the pairing of wines recommended by the sommelier and the slightly eccentric maitre d' and you are presented with a recipe that must be experienced.
Forget the quaint setting, the spectacular views and the occasional touch of glamour that glides in on a sea plane or a boat. The real show is in the kitchen, thanks to Chef Guillaume and his crew. Our recommendation is that if you go all the way here, through the beautiful winding roads, don't hold back when you get there.
Go all the way and try the degustation menu with the matching wines. The food has incredible layers of sophistication that bring out the best of the simple ingredients. And the wine will either amplify, explode or twist these sensations in ways that can't easily be described and should only be experienced. Not sure if this place has any hats, but our hats were off to the artist that make this place not just special, but spectacular. This is a gem worth finding.
A. L.
Super nice dining in casual atmosphere. Very thoughtful dishes and potions are just right.
E. G.
Beautiful location with gorgeous views topped only by the outstanding food and friendly staff. The only negative on an otherwise excellent experience was the additional cost for water on our already lofty bill.
M. H.
Bumped into the restaurant and it exceeds expectations. They are quite serious about the quality of food and the view is pleasant too. Some customers came by plane and boat.
C. M.
A restaurant on an idyllic deep waterfront location is one thing. It takes creativity to give diners a memorable experience and the team at Cottage Point Inn has done just that.
Throughout our lunch, we happily relived once again what the quintessential Sydney dining experience is all about. Read more on ChopinandMysaucepan.

The meals were sensational, service excellent . We went on a terribly rainy day, celebrating a birthday. The staff were supremely accommodating...thank you!
T. S.
Cottage point is set on the magnificent waters of pittwater. Therefore- you pay a little extra for the awesome view. Be sure to ask for a table outside to watch the sunset. We had the barramundi and loved the service.
V. M.
Delicious food. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff
E. O.
One the best degustation in Australia in the best spot! Real delicious food! Strongly recommended
R.
Love their food creations and matching plates, nice view, staffs were professional.
L. A.
Had a very memorable meal. The location is beautiful. All staff are professional and friendly!
N. M.
ahhh so romantic....long windy road to get there but you feel as though you have gone far away from the hustle and bustle.. food is good as well. If you can afford the sea plane to drop you in, do it. It is a magic little unknown hideaway and they do great specials also.
G. D.
Wonderful service, great food, great views on the Hawkesbury and a most enjoyable way to spend a lazy afternoon with friends
C. A.
Waited for years to go to this restaurant...food really great, service great and breathtaking views....deserves a visit.....

Nice food but very very small serves. Had to ask for more bread as I was still starving after entree and it had been a long wait for the next course.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic service.

Beautiful setting and great food. Unfortunately I attended the restaurant at 38C temperature which spoiled the experience.

Magnificent long lunch right on the water. All of our meals were fantastic, will definitely be going back.

Idyllic setting. Degustation under Kevin previous head chef for Guillaume Brahimi at Bennelong and Paddington was inspired. All 4 enjoyed all courses and the version of a Cornetto at the end won all hearts. Excellent accompanying wines explained perfectly by a talented sommelier. Deserves not to be kept only for special occasions
T. D.
Just top class in every way. Incredible service, beautiful food and a location that is just perfect. Go...and if you can take the sea plane all the better

Good food, service, sommelier, and best of all the location and views are awesome!! The lack of reception is probably a good thing so it doesn't distract from the views and ambience.

We treated ourselves for a belated Valentine’s degustation and we were so happy with the service, mood that was set (even though it had been raining constantly), the food, each course was delicious and cooked to perfection!
We will love to return for another meal here! *A little oasis with no reception but scrumptious food and nature!

(Translated) Cottage Point Inn
A waterfront hidden fine dining restaurant that is gradually increasing its popularity after receiving 1 Chef hat last year.
Executive Chef Kevin Solomon is a chef who has built his career through restaurants of some of Australia's top chefs, including Est, Tetsuya’s, Guillaume and Bennelong.
Because of the corona, I came to visit after 3 challenges.
In fact, it wasn't a chef with a high name value yet, and I didn't expect much because it has just received one hat, but it was unexpectedly satisfactory.
Everything from pre-dinner bread to dessert was delicious, and although the technical part and the quality of the ingredients and the plating level were not high, they seem to know how to balance well, cook perfectly, and taste.
Groupon is running a 5 course menu discount event, compared to the existing 3-7 course 110-$150 menu, you can think of it as a lack of high-quality ingredients.
The satisfaction was very high because they showed their level enough, not just because it was a Groupon deal.
The service was good at the appropriate tempo of about 2 hours, the warm sensibility of the fireplace, the romance of the waterfront, and the countless stars in the night sky.
Hidden fine dining with well-equipped conditions for romantic dating
It's a little far away because it's in a national park, but it's a place worth visiting as if on a trip
Where you want to visit again when the season changes

Cottage Point Inn
