Comments of Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium Darling Harbour

The beer was so good! A must try for dry beer lovers! There was also free on the house food such as edimame when you order a jug of there dry beer. The veggie tempura was so good! I didn't expect that an eggplant, string beans and pumpkin can be this good when deep-fried!

Was here during the OMU pop-up and the omurice was so delicious and authentic! Find them on Instagram @omu_sydney
The selection of specialty beer was so intriguing, we ordered the beer paddle featuring Ramen (really tasted like the traditional ramen soup), Pocky (chocolatey and biscuit taste is ever-present), Soba (had a hint of soba in the background), and Seaweed (almost tasted just like normal beer, but you can taste a bit of dry seaweed if you know what to look for) beers.
The salted caramel gyoza for dessert was so unique, but recommended to order with a group of friends - eating more than 1 by yourself can make you feel it was a bit too strong.
The staff are very warm and friendly, and the interior decor is really impressive and adds to the experience!

It was a great place to hang out while I waited for my friend with great tunes and a nice vibe. Then when they arrived we ordered a variety of gyoza to share and they were excellent. The best were the prawn ones. The service was quick and I liked ordering on their table tablet. There’s more dishes I want to try next time and will be back with more friends next time!
C.
Was quite disappointed with portion size, since Gyozas were served in small bite-sized pieces and for the price wasn't worth it. The eggplant tempura was delicious, but again wasn't full due to small portion sizes. The interior design is quite impressive with the colourful plates glued side-by-side is definitely eye-catching. Customer service was mediocre. A great location by the harbour, but food didn't fill me up as expected. Maybe next time !
Update - The omurice experience was amazing ! If it's still around and you're in the area, check it out :)

We had our team Xmas dinner here last night & we absolutely loved it. The setting is funky, the food is hot 🔥 & delicious, and the plum wine 🍷 goes down real easy. The service is excellent too. Highly recommend. Important to book.
Get public transport. Parking limited & expensive.

Great place to hang out and try different beers, they have a large selection. They also do a lot of small nibble, snack type food which goes well with the beer. They have a large selection of gyoza ( similar to pan fried wonton)
Their plates are also unique
Friendly staff, nice place to relax and hangout.

Lots of options for food and drinks. The current pop up Omu Rice has big servings for a good price. I recommend sharing it between 2 people unless you can really eat a lot.
B. B.
Great house-brewed cider, and amazing dumplings. Will be returning to try more of their beers (and keen to see them canned so I can take somd home!) lemon meringue dumplings were fantastic.
J. C.
My n-th time visiting here. Each time bringing new friends to try out the gyoza here. We managed to book into the Omu pop-up and it was totally worth the trek into the city. The gyozas were scrumptious as always, with their variety of meats and vegetarian options. I'm always eager to have a few of their fresh beer or cocktails with my food. Once again, satisfied and will be coming back again soon!

Never been before, went for a company team lunch. Had the banquet setting with everyone. Was simply amazing. Did came out fast, plenty for everyone, amazing selections. They handled our vegan members excellently and they weren't left wanting like can happen elsewhere. We all had a great time and were very satisfied. A++
A. W. G.
Their beers are tasty. The Gyoza is delish, and they have many varieties to choose from.
The tables sometimes are a bit sticky - which is mildly annoying.
But the food is great. The ambience is super good.
J. J.
The service is exceptional and the food is delicious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try Japanese food & craft beer.
B. S.
The place has a great vibe. The staff are very friendly and the service is ridiculously fast. The gyoza was super yummy… but the crumbed mushrooms were spectacular and went so well with the pale ale on tap.
L. W.
Love the eggplant and the prawn gyoza, both a must. Duck gyoza was ok while the chicken katsu don was the best compared to the teriyaki chicken don. Great atmosphere. Had the watermelon beer and it was refreshing.
D. A.
Amazing food, excellent Sake cocktails and exceptional customer service. Vibe was fun and energetic. Great micro brewery on site, we tried all of the 12 craft beers with the tasting paddles. Need to come back for the lemon meringue gyozas! Special mention to Moon, he mentioned the paddles! See you soon
D. L.
Ate here for lunch with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed the food a lot.
The ambience was nice, with lots of space and sunshine, without feeling hot.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Even though we ordered a lot, not everyone was full, so we probably should’ve ordered some rice as well because gyoza by themselves aren’t filling enough.
Overall, enjoyed eating here a lot and will definitely be returning.
L. L.
Love this Bar Restaurant!!!! The pale ale, the gyoza and oh the sweets! Amazing! All the staff are so friendly. Especially Tina, she is soooo nice!!! Totally made my day!
S. L.
Great food and service. Value for money. Have a large selection to please everyone.
K. C.
Went to try their new menu which is a bit more ambitious and fusion-like. I do like their steamed pork dumpling and the tempura eggplant which was super crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside, not to mention that it was pretty big in serving size too!
Oh, don't forget to try their house brewed craft beer! They even have ramen beer but they sold out when I was there. Get the peddle if you want to try multiple beers!
C. M.
They have different types of gyoza. We tried lemongrass, chicken and cheese burger gyoza added on lotus chips which is not made to order one. We found it isn't that crispy. We love our apple cider at happy hour!! And the best is ordering through QR code, it's so convenient. They brew their own beer which I really wanna try but didnt, pretty happy to go back to try soon.
K. C.
Absolutely best Japanese food ever had!! Staff were incredible with service. Head Chef was the best!! Spoiled us beyond belief. Best night in Sydney!!
J. L.
Been to Harajuku in Brisbane so when I saw the newly opened resturant in darling harbour I had to go. It didn't disappoint. The food was quick and tasty and the service was excellent. Had to try the new cheeseburger gyoza which was interesting, but I prefer the more traditional flavours. There is plenty of seating and big tables for groups. They also have a large selection of home beers including a watermelon ale. Definitely going back.
T. S.
The service was very good. The waiting time for the food to arrive was quick we weren't waiting long and the beer was brilliant
S.
they improved their dishes over the years,
came for the omurice special
cheeseburger gyoza, chicken karaage was nice
J. B.
Really good price and very covid safe. Best dumplings around and have really unique flavours. You get a menu by scanning a QR code and then placing the order through a phone. Would honestly recommend coming here.
P. B.
Really fresh food.
Lovely atmosphere in a nice area.
The service is great.
Unique dining experience using a tablet to order your food. Not the smoothest experience using the tablet but it was interesting.
Home brewed beer and cider on tap is nice with a few interesting flavours.
The food leaves a lot to be desired. It was all very fresh but there weren't too many options and everything tasted quite unflavourful and a bit bland. It was all very fresh though.
There are quite a few vegan and vegetarian options which is nice.
Overall a lovely restaurant with great service and good drinks but let down by the underperforming food lacking in flavour.
K. O.
Gyoza and beer Stadium in Darling Harbour near Darling Square serving Japanese gyoza, side dishes, share plates & Doburi rice bowl. They have a great selection of craft beers and all sort of interesting gyoza grilled or fried. I love their Cheeseburger gyoza, duck gyoza and baffalo chicken gyoza with blue cheese sauce. With all the interesting funky gyoza I actually love their Prawn Gyoza with Ginger & Spring onion grilled the most. Also love their long fries & their Tebashi Peppered Chicken Wings which is part of their happy hour offering from Mon to Friday 3-6pm were really tasty. Good to pair with their great selection of craft beers from their Yoyogi Tap beer range such as Pale Ale & IPA.You can also order their interesting Cockail Saketini like the Watermelon, Plum and Lychee Saketini . If you really hungry they have a popular Chicken Katsu Curry Bowl and Teriyaki Salmon bowl which is good size to fill you up. Other than the savoury gyoza they also have some Sweet gyoza and their popular rainbdrop cake with kinako & brown sugar syrup. Great place to meet and hang out with up with friend for a good selection of craft beers, with various gyoza and fried food. Staff are quite friendly too with large outdoor seating area.
A. T.
Awesome looking place with spacious seating. Pretty much what you would expect for a dumpling house. The dumplings were quality and everything else was equally as good. Perhaps not the most flavoursome dumplings I have ever had, but good none the less. The only setback was the time between ordering and the arrival of the food. Mostly ok, but we ordered two serves of chips at the same time. One came out and we had to wait about 20 mins for the other serve (while we saw others getting theirs). Oh well, can’t have it all! Good place.
H.
Very interesting experience with a long listed gyoza ranges providing so many flavors that I never expected before. And so surprised that the cheese burger gyoza tastes exactly like Mecca’s cheese burger hhhh. Their craft beers are outstanding and make sure you tried the Pocky Porter which includes a pretzel flavor!!! So good! Also good vibes here for a young squad night catch-up.
E. S.
Great experience, booking made it easy, we got our food straight away, one item was forgotten and quickly made, and one accidently added to the bill, but otherwise the food was spectacular coupled with a great atmosphere I would definitely recommend.
A great place for small or large groups, also seemingly popular for birthdays of young adults with friends.
With an excellent venue and an array of both deliciously classical and crossover foods paired with a beer of your choosing this is an experience I would recommend and go again
D. C.
We had a fantastic night for our Christmas catch up. The food was beautiful, the staff and service was excellent and atmosphere was awesome. The banquet package was great value for us as well! Thanks for a great experience.
T. O.
Chilled out eatery with a small but tasty menu. Beer brewed on site - and they had Tokyo banana flavour! Good quick service.
A.
Good food and great service!
Love this place, it's also a brewery behind a bar.
Japanese bar snack restaurant serving Japanese dumplings and bar food. They also serve lunch as well for corporate people.
Best place to have TGIF or after work drinks to relax. When you order Sake the staff will cheer you on! It's so cute and great vibes, if you are ever feeling down just come down and order some drinks.

Fantastic location for a great venue serving up delicious gyoza and craft beers! We visited during lunch service I a weekend and tried many dishes, everything came out quickly and tasted great. Great flavours in all the gyoza and putting a creative spin on a traditional dish was great to see, in particular the cheeseburger gyoza. On weekends you can enjoy their souffle pancakes which I highly recommend, only available between 11 and 3pm

Went to have a quiet quality dinner with my buddy celebrating her belated birthday.
Atmosphere is very cosy and relaxing with friendly Japanese staff answering their home brew beer which, is the main reason we went there.
We tried a few of their beers - honey cream ale which has a nice flavourable aroma but not our style where we are use to stronger taste, the black lager which I love personally as I am more into stout kinda beer and we also ordered the IPA which is the strongest of all that contains 6.4% for a schooner. Indeed it is so so strong but we love it.
The food wise are something which not to be miss out. Their gyoza are awesome and they do have many varieties to choose despite if you are into chicken, pork or even duck. Poached and crispy fried either one is also tasty.
We also ordered the Tan Tan Men Spicy Pork Noodles, Chicken Teriyaki Don and the Chicken Burger with Fries. Love every single piece of it.
Moreover the staff gave my buddy a birthday surprise song with a complimentary of sake. We had a good laughed over it and the staffs are so so nice and awesome.
Will defo come back for more for their gyoza and dessert. It’s also not that expensive at all consider on the location.
Good place to hang out for a good beers and food. Thumb up!!
P.
The waiter was very friendly, the foods were good. But i wasnt sure do they have certain time limits. Because we did not ask for our bill and the waitress just gave us our bill and cleared up everything. We thought someone must be waiting but when we looked around, the restaurant still have quite a few empty tables inside on the ground floor and no one was waiting outside, and its was very early. Anyway we were planning to have dessert somewhere else, so we paid and left.
M. D.
Great place for small or large groups. It is located at the bottom of the Exhibition Centre & next to Fratelli Fresh.
Was lured in as we saw these giant fluffy pancakes others were trying on the outside tables. We tried the matcha & cheese flavoured ones and both were fantastic! The open crispy gyoza is also great!
Staff are friendly & helpful when it comes to choosing your beer/cider, or why not try their beer paddles and sample a few in one go!
Already been twice and can see myself back here very soon again.
J. N. T.
Fantastic service! The foods are nice, nothing to complaint about.
the menu is a bit pricey tho.
Personally I think this place is more for ppl who love to drink beers and chit chat than having a regular family typed dinner.
K. H.
Very tasty Gyoza, enjoyed the vegetarian options. Just thought it was a bit expensive for what you get and we didn't see any hot drink options
S. H.
*3.5 stars
I went there on a Wednesday night and it was busy at the start as all the city workers were there for drinks. It took a while to get seated and then to grab the workers' attention to order, although they are quite friendly and nice. Seems like they need more workers on the floor! The interior is quite spacious with high ceilings and I like the touch of having beer tanks in the bar area. And the plates they give for you to use are quite cute too! The food here isn't necessarily traditional Japanese food but fusion. We ordered 4 different gyozas and the chicken kaarage. Must say the chicken was amazing, it reminded me of Sushi hotaru's chicken kaarage but just a bit more expensive. Out of the gyozas we got, I would recommend the poached pork gyoza and the duck gyoza. The takoyaki gyoza tastes exactly as a takoyaki but I don't think the filling fits the delicate skin of a gyoza. I also tried one of their craft(?) beers, the watermelon XPA(?). Highly disappointed as it tasted nothing like watermelon haha. Overall, would come here for a snack and a few drinks but not for a full dinner, you can get cheaper dumplings that are yummy in Chinatown!
L. D.
Great location and atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious, the long fries aren't just a novelty but super tasty! Service was great and attentive, even easier with the use of the button on the table. Beer selection was awesome, the tasting paddle is the way to go for $20 you get 4 beers! Unfortunately the banquet menu is only available to 4 or more people.... I will certainly be back with 4 or more people next time!!
z.
came for the omurice collab but enjoyed the very nice variations of gyoza, love the cheeseburger one 💯
J. T.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and service is very quick. There's a little button on the table you can press whenever you need help or want to order which is very convenient. The place is large and spacious with lots of seating available. There are some booths upstairs which are really good for groups. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the eggplant tempura, cheeseburger gyoza and lemongrass chicken gyoza with ponzu. The dishes are a little pricy as the dishes only come in 3-5 pieces of gyoza so you would have to order a lot if you want to be full. Overall, a good place to come with friends to share food.
b. b.
I had good impressions since I love the other Harajuku Gyoza outlet!
The mozzarella gyoza is average but my friend wanted to try it. It's better to eat it once you get it and not during your meal because it doesn't really taste nice cold.
Pork gyoza is always good!
The cucumber and miso salad was so good! What a strange but very complimentary dish!!
Chicken katsu curry, excellent, flavourful, very good representation of good curry from Japan.
The beef gyudon was so good! The beef was super tender and juicy which honestly was a surprise to me. The ratio was a bit small compared to the rice though :P
We also received raindrop cake as a complimentary item since it was our first time there! That is so kind of them! It's kind of like any other raindrop cake, not really much to write home about haha but definitely make sure to mix both the sides while eating it!
P. F.
Casual atmosphere, we ordered our first beer, out of stock, ordered the second also out of stock, settled for some others which was ok, ordered cheese gyoza which was delicious
C. C.
It was my second time to try. Good place for a drink. They have really nice food and services. If you are the dumpling lover definitely need to come here and try it because they have a lot of options to choose from. Also, the beer is different from another beer stadium. If you haven't any idea which beer is your favourite than talking with their staffs. They are so kindly and happy to recommend with you. Hope you have a great time there and love that place.
E. B.
The food is always delicious and amazing value for what you get. I've never had to wait long and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Just has a great vibe! :)
N.
Absolutely lovely staff. So friendly and welcoming. Great venue with plenty of seating, all covid spaced. Great list of beers on tap and a huge selection of food. Food comes out really quickly and is piping hot and fresh.
Happy hour specials from 3pm daily.
Definitely be back.
J. O.
Pretty nice place which is next to Fratelli Fresh, you can't miss it because of their happy hour signages! Some things I like about this place are their more unique beer selections, particularly of Yoyogi. Their gyoza is a definite must-try, but do expect to pay up to 9 AUD for the 5 delicious pieces of their pork gyoza.
Their menu also features a lot of other interesting variations, though prices get higher too. Definitely a good place to try out if you are comfortable with the prices!
S. D.
Had a great time here. The food was good, but a bit pricey, but at least they had a lot of good flavour gyoza to choose from.
J. B.
Service was prompt and friendly and the vibe is relaxed and casual. A nice after work option. There are a handful of gluten free options on the menu, so some choice, although only one gyoza option. I had the Agedashi tofu which was really tasty and a good choice. My second dish, the pork gyoza was a bit disappointing. They were stuck together and a bit limp, with not much taste. That being said I would like to come back and try the raindrop cake. No idea what it is, but it’s gluten free and vegan and with so few places offering gluten free dessert options I’m always keen to try. Just wasn’t that hungry today.
A. L.
Came here for drinks before having lunch, food was delicious just like your Brisbane store. Service was a bit slow on the day but I think this was due to it being midday on Friday and not many staff working at the time. Our waiter was awesome (sorry cannot recall his name) and explained the ciders to us and gave us great recommendations. Will definitely be returning on a weekly basis from now on.
J. W.
Everything is fresh, with cool fusian flavours adding fun to the gyoza repertoire. A range of craft beers and cider made on site add a fresh compliment to your gyoza selection. Thuesdays offer a special two for one gyoza range. A wide open entrance feels indoor/outdoor al fresco!
m. c.
Check-in and social distancing in place but there isn’t much sanitiser available.
Had the following:
Cheeseburger Gyoza: Weird but yum!
Pork Gyoza: Nothing special.
Tebasaki Chicken: way tooooo salty
Yoyogi beer: not much of a fan
T. L. P.
Fun place for dumplings and a beer. Good selection on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the foot long fries. A must try. Had the mozzarella cheese gyoza. Tasted like mozzarella sticks though but it was good. Not disappointing. If you are around the darling harbour area so check this place out.
W. S.
Not just a novelty! Very interesting and creative Gyozas not found anywhere else. Food and ambience is great. Beers are also one of a kind. Great place to check out if you’re craving to visit Japan!
M. T.
A short wait, even when busy. Harajuku Gyoza has a playful atmosphere and a variety of freshly brewed, Japanese style, craft beers to offer. The gyoza were hit and miss, but the lemongrass chicken gyoza was a must have. Service was slow, but the staff were very helpful when prompted.
S. V.
Very good casual Gyoza and Beer Bar! Highlights, for me, were their homebrew beers on tap (most of which are well brewed, but somewhat experimental) and the absolutely AMAZING selection of imported Japanese Beers, including Kirin Ichiban (literally; this is the number one Kirin variety in my opinion) and Baird Beers (masterfully crafted, environmentally sustainable and impeccably crafted). The Rising Sun had a lovely little tang, one of the nicer beers I tried while there in Japan, would've tasted even better on tap 😋
Went on a fairly busy Thursday, but luckily it wasn't jam packed, downstairs full and outside close to capacity. Service is classical Japanese style, ring the buzzer and your waiter will be with you.
Gyoza above average, some were a lot better than others. Especially the mozzarella cheese and takoyaki gyoza, absolutely delicious. Overall, I would recommend for beer and cider lovers and gyoza aficionados 👌
L. L.
In a daring concrete interior fitout, the east-west concept of specialty beers and fusion dumplings is good but the service and flavours miss the mark. A sampling paddle of four beers is affordable but the beers will leave you less satisfied and more feeling like you are a victim to the gimic. The dumplings are hit or miss and the management have an inconsistency in maintaining a japanese-influenced service style leaving the customer also confused as to protocol. Come for a beer after work (bar service is much faster) or for a once-off casual bite with friends that you don't feel the need to impress.
L.
Great dumpling and drink options. First time ordering via my phone from the table after scanning the QR code. We booked on the day and lucky enough to get a spot on a warm Friday in November. Right next to Fratelli Fresh around Darling Quarter.
W. N.
Awesome place and helpful staff. Love their brewery. More of a place for finger food/snack + beer and social place. Nice ambient, would be nice to have some Japanese harajuku music (doesn’t have to be loud)
Interesting gyoza fusions but I prefer the original flavour and doing it well.
One of the dishes was seated for a fair while (where we asked twice). No problem with the wait but could’ve informed is to set an expectation how long the wait would be.
M. R.
After enjoying the one in Brisbane we were finally able to go to one in Sydney, being the new one just off Darling Harbour. Food is always tasty and the Cheesburger Gyoza and Footlong Fries are awesome guilty pleasures. Everything was served quickly and the atmosphere of the stadium is open even ina busy lunchtime rush. Make sure one tries the Yoyogi Beers, very refreshing and not too heavy. We will be back.
I. T.
The beers here are excellent. Great ambiance. Food is good and goes well with beers. They offer tasting paddles of 4. I’d recommend coming in a group of 4 or more so you can have “banquets” set meals.
J. M.
The online ordering system was OK to use. The meal was nothing extraordinary, but it wasn't bad either. The beer (brewed locally on-site!) was nice and cold.
Staff were friendly enough, and the service was prompt.
The concept of the "beer stadium" is very 'kawaii' (cute), but I suppose that is the point of a chain of eateries named after the Harajuku district of Tokyo!
Would I eat here again? Maybe... However, if you're after quality Japanese-style meals, I would argue that there are better options all within a short walk from this location.
J. P.
Love the interesting japanese style beers on tap. And the gyoza goes well with the beer. Lots of interesting gyoza fillings as well, such as the cheeseburger gyoza. The only negative comment would be that there's no sauce to accompany the fries.
J. K.
Good gyoza, a bit pricey but as expected for the location. The setting is quite nice, spacious & good decor. The ordering system is good & efficient, through little tablets on your table. Service was ok, never got the tap water we ordered though. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
J. P. R.
This place is pretty cool. You got a nice vibe inside, greet ambience outdoors facing the Chinese garden of friendship and the pedestrians up and down the darling harbour area. Prices are alright, service is friendly and they have delicious gyōza you all shkoukd try eventually. $5 selected beverages during happy hour.
C. A.
Love everything here! Beautiful service, delicious food, great drinks.
C. M.
Original food but not really tasty . More like tapas ( small plates ) . A bit disappointed . Fast service , and you order by yourself. Good location
L. S.
Had such an awesome time here! Great atmosphere, delicious food, cider and if it’s your birthday, you get a special treat! We each got a banquet which was an awesome deal including 10 of the top gyozas, 2 side dishes and rice. My favourites were the mozzarella and cheeseburger dumplings. Thanks to Sylvia-San for being super attentive and taking such good care of us tonight, you’re amazing!
T. F. D.
One of the first things you’ll notice when walking into this fascinating Japanese restaurant are the humongous Yoyogi beer-making tanks, signifying what Harajuku Gyoza is all about - thirst quenching beer consumption matched with irresistible Japanese food, hand-made dumplings and crispy long fries! Throw in their famous rain-drop dessert and you’ll be saying “Arigatou Gozaimasu” in no time. If you want a show, order one of their saké and be prepared for an experience you won’t forget!
C. O.
Huge choice of meals and beer are available, some of the more interesting ones are cheeseburger gyoza and mozzarella gyoza. They were out of the don bowls at around 7pm. Seating options are great and gives you a beautiful view of the city outside (but only with room for 3)
Cocktails are available and super suitable for large groups as it's lots of food for sharing! Prices are reasonable too. There are sweet gyoza for dessert too which are very unique.
n. t.
I have been to this Japanese restaurant multiple times and am posting to acknowledge the consistency in the quality of their food and service.
Being a chicken eater I world really recommend the katsu curry rice and please do try a gyoza of your choice.
Do not miss on the amazing brews if you visit. My personal favourites are the pale ale and the dark ale from the rap, which have an amazing personality. The speciality beers might cost more but are absolutely worth the price.
It’s a good place for any kind of gatherings as they have an indoor and outdoor seating just opposite to the Chinese garden.
Kudos to 2 staff member from my recent visit, Arisa San and Roy who made my visit memorable.
Thank you
J. Y.
Food was decent and service was good. I tried the house brewed lager, it tasted more like a cider, in other words it was terrible.
G. C.
I went here to celebrate my birthday with some friends and we had fun. Definetly check out their Takoyaki Gyoza and their Duck Gyoza. Also, talking about beer, absolutely try the one in the photo, which is a Pocky Porter: it tastes like pretzels and chocolate, and has a coffee aftertaste and smell. It's amazing!
K. T.
Great staff and service at a popular and busy restaurant specialising in, you know it, gyoza and beer, which is a pretty good combo for after work and weekend sessions :) Recommend the cheeseburger gyoza, long fries and the lager.
A. M.
Had the banquet with friends. You get to try every gyoza and even dessert gyoza which are freaking amazing. Vego option. Staff are friendly and helpful.
r. p. l.
Thank you to the owner Joseph for inviting me and my partner back to their restaurant. Food was outstanding as usual!

Seems like the staff are new (new venue and all) and are in the teething stage to get into their stride but were good once they got going.
We asked to sit at the bar were told it would be a 5 minute wait but turned into 30 when we were forgotten to even get a drink whilst other customers comming in way after us were getting tables and being served.
Once rush hour died down a bit and we got their attention again everything was much smoother and friendlier. Just annoying that we have to actually make an effort to get service.
Food was great to make up for it but we were within a hairs width of leaving. Will try again but unless service improves it wont be a regular.
B. Y.
Came here on a Friday night for dinner for the 1st time and was not disappointed! Was seated at a booth. Great food and atmosphere! My table enjoyed everything we ordered! Will be back again!
R. D.
Great friendly staff with good selection of alcoholic beverages from Japan, and of course their locally brewed beers on tap, with a twist! Gyoza are awesome - try the Cheeseburger Gyoza! Will keep coming back!
F. R.
Great food & quick when ordered. We will definitely be back
S. P.
We had a group business booking here for dinner. The atmosphere and service was fun and inviting. Could not fault the staff. We had great outdoor seating which was lovely on a balmy summer evening. The drinks selection is extensive with cocktails, wines, sake and beer. We enjoyed a banquet menu that was well priced and a good amount of food. They do more than Gyoza- but they were the standouts with some creative ingredients. The Nutella Gyoza dessert was also well received. We would all definitely go back.
K. S.
Epic Gyozas - brew of the beers on site
Also $5 happy hour 5-6pm schooners (smaller range, still good) and $2 Edename bit of a win
S. S.
One of my favourite in Syd for Japanese beer. Food is ok 4 by me though my friends like it . Get a tasting kit
G. P.
I love this place. It reminds me of some great nights out in Japan. Good Japanese boutique brewery with some unusual flavours on offer besides the traditional styles. They currently offer a Pocky Stick flavour beer which was interesting to try but I prefer their traditional beers....and great Gyoza!
R. C.
Good beers. Gyozas are great and go well with the drinks. Cheese burger and pork gyozas are great. Will come back and try other dishes.
M. Q.
Friendly Japanese service and very tasty Gyoza. The long fries and Yoyogi Pale ale are great!
E. T.
Waited around 20 minutes for buffalo wing gyoza. "Yes, it's on the way" (Everyone else had already gotten their orders on my table). Waited 15 more minutes. "Let me check your order". Waited 10 more minutes. Food arrives, tastes alright (just a taste thing, rest of the food was good). The prices are very expensive for the quality of what you get and how much you get.
T. L.
Food is pricey but well worth it!
V. D.
That was my first visit to that restaurant. I liked the food options and the location as it is situated right in a city center- at Darling harbor. I was given a small tablet device to make my order. After that I had been waiting for my order to be brought, however it didn't happen. I had been waiting for 40 minutes and when I asked the waitress why it wasn't ready she couldn't find the order in a system. When ordering something, always double check whether or not the order got through.

Gyoza and beer - what could be better? Great food, a selection of craft beers, super nice and friendly staff, outdoor seating...it's just a great place in Darling Sq for lunch or dinner. Prices are good - midrange. Highly recommended.
A. W.
Happy hour $5 such a great catch. Excellent customer service. Try the cheeseburger gyoza.
G.
This restaurant has a fun, unique vibe: I found myself smiling the entire meal. The staff were amazing, some of the best service I’ve experienced. The drinks are a definite wow, and a lot of the food options are worth trying. I would return for sure.
H. A.
We went at the weekend for our twins 16th birthday meal.
1st time myself and hubby have been as it was kids choice.
Was ok, food was ok, few things came cold and drinks came flat. They did change drinks once informed.
Not the best dumplings I have had but I would recommend.
Our favourite ones were cheeseburger and mozzarella.
G. B.
Nice food, great beer. Pale ale was my favourite. $10 jug deal on Sunday afternoon. Staffs are very friendly especially the manager(Moom?) was very nice. We asked a question about our food and he handled that very quickly and nicely. Will be back definitely.
T. K.
great food, cooking with so much love but its a very high price for small servings
Beer ...good idea making own beers very high quality
Good place you should try !
m. l.
I've been coming to Harajuku Gyoza bar for quite a few years now for the best Pale Ale beer in Sydney and i'm happy to say that they are going strong.and the beer is flowing well. A big thanks to the manager Joe for being so accommodating . Best happy hour beer and wings in Sydney. Thanks to Joe and the staff.
E. L.
The online menu order isn’t convenient at all, and requires too much personal information. We were there for 30mins just wanted a quick dinner, but no staff liked after us at all, and the whole registration and order process took us 15 mins. We had to leave without eating anything. Although the staff made a full refund for us, the refund process took us another 10mins. I strongly suggest the restaurant to improve the order system and staff management.
A. R.
Good happy hour wings and beer. Good range of beer and some quirky dumpling flavours. Could do with improvement to ambience and service.
J. Q.
Came here about two weeks ago.On entry, the vibe here was pretty casual and relaxed, but also very welcoming. The staff were kind and quickly seated us, and service was very good.
We ordered the duck gyoza, tempura eggplant, agedashi tofu and edamame. The gyoza were very good (I think this place is known for them), and I also really enjoyed the eggplant, which had a crispy exterior and soft interior. The tofu was also quite flavoursome.
Overall, the prices are reasonable, food is good and the service is very good. I recommend this place for a more casual dinner with friends or post-work drinks/bites on a Friday night.
W. T.
Great place to drink and eat gyoza. Gyoza is tasty, like the one in Japan. Very cosy.
T. K.
Absolutely stunning restraunt. Amazing food, great staff and quality beers. Perfect for any occasion. If your in the area its definitely worth a stop by. Even if not, book a table and travel in, it will be 100% worth it.
H. “. U.
Interesting variety to choose from for a unique Japanese dumpling experience. Cheeseburger gyoza is a great option and representative of fusion cuisine.
C. L.
Nice Japanese food, especially dumpling. Very good service and nice view of outdoor seating.
C. L.
Awesome happy hour $5 beer + $2 snacks!
Gyozas are really good too.
There's a lot of interesting brew on the menu will have to come back to try again
S. L.
Excellent service! The open park belly dumpling was so yummy that we ordered another one. Other food was okay - eggplant tempura was probably the biggest let down because it was too oily and heavy. All and all very much enjoyed the experience. Love my cider with a twist!
s. c.
Foot long fries were amazing. Their beer collection is very good and they have seasonal options too. Had a great time. Staff were friendly too.
L. S.
The $36 set menu is really good value and a great way to taste all the gyoza. The food came out at a good pace. The fluffy pancakes were amazing. Great service too, they were really accommodating.
The beers were a bit disappointing - flavours weren’t balanced and was kind of bland. I understand Japanese beer is normally cleaner in taste so maybe it’s just a matter of preference.
T. L.
Great pale ale, and only $5 during happy hour. The chicken wings are oversalted almost to the point of being inedible. Pretty sure the kitchen is doing this to get you to buy more beer. Good beer though, so I'm not sure if I'm complaining.
D. C.
Great craft beer with $10 jugs of pale ale on Sundays all day!
A. C.
Today was my first time eating at this restaurant and the gyoza were so delicious! However the service was a little slow, but I would definitely still come back to this restaurant as the food was so tasty! I highly recommend trying the duck or prawn gyoza.
F. W.
Very fast service. The best environment for the night. Only the curry is a bit watering.
J. D.
Good atmosphere and spacious. Good selection of beer. Food quite pricey tho. Can't bring myself to spending over $10ish for 5 pieces of dumplings
T. A.
Very nice beer, many varieties, a must try
K.
Had a great night here. The food was very nice and there was plenty of beer options on offer. Very convenient if your at the convention center for an event.
They cater well for large groups.
We enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. I didn’t research this bar before my visit. But it was great little find.
M.
Great food and atmosphere. Food is a bit pricey though.
J. X.
The place was trendy, the food was delicious and the drinks were cheap (thanks to a special deal). Four of us had a great time being loud and filling our stomachs and trying to work out the novel tablet menu that we could use to pretty much do everything. Would happily return with my friends again.
D. C.
Amazing Omurice! You even get to video the process. A bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion
V. S.
Great experience overall. We had a mix of everything. Gyozas were very juicy and tasty. The miso soup was too small for 4.2$ and the sweet gyoza were tiny and there were just 3 of them. It wasn't worth 11$. The service was relatively fast. There was a button on the table to call for service which I found it cool 😁There is plenty of craft beer choice and they even brew their own beer on sit. Nice modern and cozy interior. Staff was singing loudly frequently when serving sake or a similar alcohol. I found it stupid and disrupting. I will go there again.
E. 2.
Hands down the best food i have ever had in the city. Staff are extremely friendly and if you download the app you can get special deals I.E 50c Wings/ Buy one get one free. Highly recommended to anyone walking by and looking for dinner. Great for familys.
S. F.
It's all very good, I like almost all types of gyoza, their Pale Ale is also good, but the kitchen close at 7,30 (I hope weekdays only)
J. C.
Good beer and gyoza. Beer brewed on site and jugs (growlers) are available.
L. S.
The food was just okay- good but not amazing for the price point, but that’s probably due to the location. I would almost prefer if they had a “good and cheap” home style gyoza option in addition to the upscale fancy options. Service was friendly and prompt. Enjoyed the outdoor seating and nice beer selection.
S. M.
Great service and good value by Darling Harbor standards. Some really tasty gyoza!
R. V.
A fun venue with a good range of beers. The food is casual, beer-friendly and mostly tasty, without being outstanding. When my partner and I visited for lunch one Saturday, the venue was clearly understaffed, resulting in frequent delays. Cannot help but feel that the food and drinks are overpriced for what they are, but that likely reflects the venue's tourist-oriented location.
J. C.
nice vibe but food and drinks are a pricey
J. B.
$5 happy hour schooners...plus free chicken wings!! Who could say no?
I'll be back to try their other delicious offerings.
K. H.
The staff were very friendly, and very hard working. The venue has two levels, floor one is access friendly but stairs are required for the second floor. There are bathrooms and indoor and outdoor seating with a variety of table heights.
We were there on a Friday night (I definitely recommend booking!) and the noise level was high, especially as they kept celebrating every time someone did some kind of shot thing. We had no problems navigating our conversations but we were also outside where it was quieter.
Make sure to double check your order, there were a couple of mistakes with our orders. The food was good, you get charged to use a credit card so I would recommend cash.
P. W.
Closed insanely early on a Saturday (9:30) so was disappointed about that. Now the Pocky Porter was very good, as was the Gyoza. The foot long fries were decent although I liked the novelty. Just check on hours before you go there. I’d get a flight of different kinds if you can.
A. S.
Amazing food! Only ordered through Uber Eats due to a certain pandemic, but once things are back to normal I'll definitely be having more than a few date nights here!
My partner and I adore the chicken katsu don, chicken karaage and the edamame! Couldn't recommend enough!
s. m.
I like the idea, the menu, the concept of this place. I want to like it. But. Here we go.
- They have 5 sakes on the menu. 3 weren't in stock. It took almost an hour, while my girlfriend sat without a drink, to determine this, with Faulty Towers like service fumbling
- The beers are all brewed by them, on premise apparently. It took 20 minutes to get a beer brought to your table. Go for the pale ale - the lager is a bit thin.
- The service issues were becoming apparent, so a lovely waitress comped us some food ... lovely thought ... we had those same dishes literally on the table.
That said, the food was good, especially the gyoza. The space and concept are cool. With better execution, this place would be fun for a drink and Izakaya style eating. Easy 4 or 5 star without the delays and poor stocking/ communications
V. M.
Food was good, but we had to wait the majority of time because there was only one waitress at the restaurant serving customers. Just wondering why they only put one person to manage everything in such a big restaurant.
L. t.
Nice food and whiskey selection but they only allowed me to drink one drink....
B. T.
The gyozas and long fries are worth having here! There's also beer tasting and the craft beers are a treat. My only hope is that this place makes a few more additions to their menu as the food is incredibly tasty.
A. C.
I was going to give five stars but they messed up our order and one dish never came in time. The food is authentic Japanese, the service is otherwise polite and friendly, the qualities the Japanese are known for. Modern decor, great location, good place for a quick bite before or after whatever you are out about to do in Darling Harbour. I am giving them the benefit of doubt and will happily recommend.....
B. K.
This place is amazing!! Service was excellent, food delicious and the drinks list is extensive and original. The staff were fantastic and food arrived to the table super fast (before the drinks!). A great place for families with kids looking for an early dinner that won't take ages. We will definitely be back :)
z. o.
The pale ale beer is such a refreshing and tasty beer. I rate it as one of the best , if not the best beers I've drank during my 35 odd years of drinking beer. The happy hour beer and wings deal is the best in Sydney and I want to thank the manager Joe and his staff for being very friendly and accommodating.
Zack.
M. X.
Great service, amazing food! I am Chinese and my wife is Japanese. We both agreed that this was some of the best and most innovative gyoza we’ve ever had. So glad we walked past here!
B. P.
Awesome food. Love the ordering app idea, no hailing servers for food or drinks and it's impossible to stuff your order up unless it's your own fault. Perfect.
t. m. l.
Tasty dumplings and a fun selection of Japanese beer makes for a really great time at Harajuku dumplings. I recommend trying some of the odd selections on the menu like 'Cheeseburger dumplings' , and 'mozarella dumplings'. I really enjoyed the duck dumplings poached in a spicy vinegar! For the beer and dumplings I give the place a 4, but unfortunately I didn't love the fried eggplant side that we ordered. I'm definitely keen to try more next time!
A. L.
One of my most favourite dumpling places ever.
Large indoor/outdoor seating area with a mezzanine floor inside with seating booths on the stairs up to the mezz floor, too.
Excellent quality of food which comes out within reasonable time, given how busy the place is.
Friendly staff, who also (upon asking if it's ok with you) provide a rather exciting experience while pouring shots of sake!
Pleasant interior with 4 visible beer brewing vats upon entry, and a wall of plates with interesting and creative designs on the back wall, which are also the wild designs they use for your plates, too!
Wide variety of house-brewed YoYogi beers and the usual spirits, including Umeshu and sake.
Plenty of absolutely delicious dumplings to choose from, most of which have the option of fried or poached.
Otherwise, the tables are all setup with soy sauce, vinegar and chilli oil to compliment your dumplings.
Ordering is easy, done via a tablet on the table, with the option of still being able to call a staff member to the table if required.
Have been here many times and will happily keep coming back here!
M. F.
Service was pleasant and attentive, and an interesting range of (slightly expensive) beers unfortunately let down by the food. Tried the pork and prawn gyoza, found the skin too thick and despite being grilled not particularly hot. Also the filling had a slightly fishy taste (yes I know it had prawns but that's not how good prawns taste). Also had the chicken wings, the meat was juicy and tender but we found the soy marinade too salty and a bit overwhelming.
X.
This place was great. Friendly staff and service was fast. I learned an important lesson tonight: Never ask a teenage waitress for her beer suggestion. Chocolate beer is gross. Apart from chocolate beer, everything else was great and we will come again
G. Y.
This restaurant is easily one of the best places I've eaten at in a long time. The variety of gyoza ranged from traditional, modern and experimental flavours. They all held their own - recommend their pork and prawn as well as their duck with spicy vinegar, their special - Moreton bug/chicken with yuzu koshi was my favourite. The raindrop cake is also worth a try! Surprisingly refreshing. The service was excellent - a combination of efficiency (with their call button system) as well as intuitive and attentive staff buzzing around. Also love that this place is pretty much a brewery with a restaurant attached. It's cute, honest and the cider/beer is amazing. The waiter even gave us a free taster of the cucumber cider. 100% Recommend!!
Q. L.
Great place to have a casual meal, or just a snack and a beer.
B. M.
Great beer brewed on site. Tried a bunch of Gyoza's all delicious. Pork belly, best I've had in Sydney. Staff so friendly and helpful. Had a great night with a friend, would recommend for group bookings for a fun night out.
N. a.
$10 beer and cider jugs with a great atmosphere.
A. T.
Porter was nice, should be a bit darker which explains the lack of roasted malts character.
Pale ale was good. Rum IPA was disappointing. Passionfruit sour not showcasing much passionfruit.
They only hold the fermenter, so techincally not a brewery but a big fermenting room. Seriously doubt anyone would know the difference
Food was good. The Chicken Kirage was excellent.
B. B.
A little disappointed with this place. The bad points were the mozzarella cheese gyoza which never came, it showed up on the bill and we had to ask to take it off. And when i poured out the soy sauce a tiny dead bug came out with it. The slaw was a bit disappointing for the price.
The good points are that the wait staff were friendly and attentive and they have a good collection of beer. The takoyaki gyoza was the most surprising of the lot. And their standard gyoza was pretty good as well.
Would I go again? If the focus was to feed myself? No. But as a place to drink beer with good food on the side? Yes.
D. J.
Fast, efficient, friendly. Great Japanese-style bar food menu and plenty of drinks to quench your thirst. Staff are lovely and the place has a great vibe.
C. D.
Beautiful food at a very reasonable price, and in a great location.
G.
Good impressions, food and customer service. Very kind to children
S. d. N.
Fantastic atmosphere with great cocktails that could only be invented by the Japanese.
A great menu as well. Just order the banquet (with or without dessert) for a no fuss, max fun night. Highly recommended.
M. B.
Food was alright but nothing extraordinary. Relatively quick service and well located in Darling Harbour though.
W. S.
Amazing dumplings and craft beer! The service is a bit slow but they are always super busy so I expected that. Prices are moderate and we didn’t pay more than $100 for a dinner for 3.
C. M.
Omg I love this place! The watermelon beer is my fav! It’s awesome cause they always have different sweet deals going on and the staff are attentive but also fun and happy! I also like the different foods they have like pizza Gyoza it just keeps things interesting!
T. H.
Overall its okay.......cheese burger gyoza was interesting
C. C.
Some of the food options were quite good such as the lemon grass chicken gyoza, cheeseburger gyoza and lychee cocktail teapot however many were lacking such as the pork belly, duck gyoza etc.
The staff although very polite and accommodating were generally disorganized / under staffed at times. And the electronic menus although seemingly handy were confusing to operate and the staff seemed to struggle with them as well.
T. S.
All the gyozas are delicious, my fave is the cheeseburger gyoza. Great craft beer selection, I love the watermelon beer but got a new fave: banana beer -- if you're unsure what to have, get the tasting paddle (you can never go wrong with the lager/pale ale/IPA). Fridays are usually busy & we were a big group tonight, some delays with the drinks but the food was served promptly and hot...plus great service from our server Sylvia, thank you! Btw, there's a Harajuku app, you can earn points and get freebies.
D. L.
Have been to the Potts point location a few times, but first time going to the beer stadium location. Overall it was pretty good, with our favourite being the open gyoza with pork belly. The duck gyoza didn't taste as good as we remembered though.
B. S.
The dumpling flavours are so so good. Cheeseburger dumplings were impeccable. 11/10 would visit again.
A. C.
Fun place and good beer, but a little slow with their service and a bit expensive for what you get.
S. P.
The beers and food were great! The location as well such great vibes! And the friendliness of the staff was the cherry on top!
M. Q.
A bit slow but great decor and loved the food. Order the gyoza in ponzu sauce. So tasty. Excellent drinks menu but I couldn't give 5 stars because they had run out of their signature fruit beers :(
A. B.
Love this place. Great food, great beer and great service. Can't ask for more than that. They brew beer and make delicious gyozas. About 8-10 bucks for 5 pieces. Designed for sharing situations. A must visit.
H. T.
Came here with 2 friends last night. Delicious gyoza. Staff were fantastic and the place looks super cool. The duck grilled gyoza and tempura eggplant were TASTY! Would definitely visit again to try all the things we weren't able to try.
B. L.
Great selection of craft beers to choose from. I didn't eat any food here though. Service is prompt, staff are friendly and sociable. Environment was bustling and urban, quite enjoyable atmosphere
A. S.
The various dumplings were quite nice and good selection of beers. Atmosphere was slightly lacking though, would be nice if there was a bit more greenery inside
D. H.
Lovely gyoza and amazing drink options. Expect a waiting time. We waited for a while for service. So get comfy. Enjoy the murals and deco. I recommend the lemongrass chicken gyoza and the pork belly. Very very tasty.
A.
It's not bad. There are limited plant based options and I wouldn't recommend the desserts. But the drinks are fun and there is a relaxed friendly atmosphere. I'd recommend it as a good place for group catch ups.
K. H.
Service was slow; a bit annoying when the place is empty and you have to wait to be seated. You have to order at the counter anyway?! Food is ok - duck dumplings are good, and the $5 Beer & Wings is good value for money.
m. j.
one of my favorite places to eat in Sydney, cannot recommend this place highly enough. the quality and variety of food is incredible and the staff just take the experience to a another level. an absolute must to eat here if you are visiting Sydney!
D. V.
Great little gyōza bar. A wide variety of traditional and abstract flavours. They also brew a huge range of beers on sight. Fast service. Friendly staff and great tasting food and beer.
O.
I thoroughly enjoyed their beer and cider. The mozzarella dumplings were memorable, a few issues with my order which was quickly fixed. I wasn't a fan of the the pork dumplings, duck dumolings, eggplant and chips.
P. V.
The food and beer are decent but overpriced. Especially the beer. (The good stuff costs $12-14 per schooner). Even considering the location and the fact it’s a craft beer. If you are in the neighbourhood go to the Pumphouse, wich is literally across the street and you will get same or better craft beer for a reasonable price ($10-12 per pint). You can get there a decent bite too. If you feel like dumplings you have the whole China town within a 5 min. walk, unless you specifically desire Jappaneese gyoza. They have some interesting flavours. If you manage to get the ‘buy one gyoza dish get another for free’ deal or the happy hour beer, then go for it. The staff is super friendly but sometimes a bit confused.
S.
First time to come here with my family. Very nice decor and ambiance! Service was good. Food arrived quickly and were delicious! The foot-long chips were great. Very yummy gyozas, thanks for the lovely lunch :)
T. P. (. P.
Very friendly staff members. Great food and drinks. The location is very nice. Food was brought very quickly. The plates were very cute. Even though it is quite pricy the food and drinks are worth the money.👍👍👍
A. J.
Seems like the place to be on a nice Sydney evening as you're able to watch a fair bit of the population walking by. The beers aren't cheap but there is a good range of craft ales and a stout. I didn't have any food but I saw plenty of people who were enjoying theirs. Worth a try.
P. N.
Nice spot for a snack and a few interesting beers. The cheeseburger Gyoza are worth a try
A. B.
Terribly beer pouring skills, but beers are OK (dont expect much, though) and staff is nice and friendly.
I also found it quite pricy for the quality of the beers - paid $24 on a tasting paddle of four beers.
Definitely won't become my fave, but I am glad I have experimented. :)
N. S.
Good selection and nice beer. But the 4 different gyozas we tried were all very average I must say. May consider come back for the beer, but not the gyoza. Kinda a shame since I was really hoping to find it a place serving decent gyozas.
P. C.
Good, quick and efficient service which doesn't detract from the quality of food. The foot long fries were amusingly large but very tasty and the cheeseburger gyoza were delicious, overall a great experience that I can recommend.
A. P.
Great concept. Beers are solid. Always a couple interesting selections. Gyoza are creative, jump on the cheeseburger gyoza. The pork belly is a winner! Selection. To suit adults and kids.
A. S.
The various dumplings were quite nice and good selection of beers. Atmosphere was slightly lacking though, would be nice if there was a bit more greenery inside

very nice place for japanese food and beer
W. W.
great food, amazing quality and a wonderful place to be. The food is the most amazing Japanese food i have ever eaten and its a rich tapestry of food and drink and i definitely recommend it
R. V.
A fun venue with a good range of beers. The food is casual, beer-friendly and mostly tasty, without being outstanding. When my partner and I visited for lunch one Saturday, the venue was clearly understaffed, resulting in frequent delays. …

Great beer brewed on site. Tried a bunch of Gyoza's all delicious. Pork belly, best I've had in Sydney. Staff so friendly and helpful. Had a great night with a friend, would recommend for group bookings for a fun night out.
K. R.
Super easy to book online. The food was really good. Loved the long fries and the veggie gyozas. Wish there was a bit more menu selection, but what we ordered was great.
S.
First time to come here with my family. Very nice decor and ambiance! Service was good. Food arrived quickly and were delicious! The foot-long chips were great. Very yummy gyozas, thanks for the lovely lunch :)
B. T.
The gyozas and long fries are worth having here! There's also beer tasting and the craft beers are a treat. My only hope is that this place makes a few more additions to their menu as the food is incredibly tasty.
S. T.
Nice place to have a Japanese food and drinks. However I'm vegetarian and I wanted to get proper dinner meal and there are no option as main course. So I had to order few vegetarian goyza starters and coconut sake which is very tasty, but make me even more hungry.
Ps. When I asked waiter if I can have curry chicken katsu with rice without chicken, she said chicken cooked together with curry but when my friend ordered same meal it's so obvious that chicken is deep fried on side separate from curry.
:(
H. h.
Stopped past here for a nice chilled beer on my way home from work. Great energy and even tastier dumplings the menu is fantastic with something for everyone. Families and couples this place caters for all!
D. H.
Absolutely loved the gyoza. Pork belly is to die for. It was do rich in flavour and melted in your mouth. Lemongrass chicken gyoza was the favourite amongst the table. Good place for groups and individuals as well.
s. b.
Top quality food, drinks and dumplings. Friendly staff and very well serviced. Definitely would recommend a group visit and try as many of the different dumpling and leave room for dessert. A great selection of beers and drinks.
L. P.
The only place in Sydney where $9 for a schooner is worth it! Super high quality beer brewed on premises with a nice atmosphere, great food, and good service. All things considered, a much better option than Fratellis next door.
M. L.
Great place and really good customer service. The takoyaki gyoza was abit different but really good! Great beers as well.. they didn’t have much of the whiskey on the menu, not sure if that was just on the night even though it was a Saturday. Still a great experience will be back !!
A. X.
Good location, overpriced items. My dish was tasty but the waiter gave us dirty plates to use, i didn't use them in the end. The plate food came in was perfectly fine to dine from.
L.
It's got the tastiest gyōza in town. Try the Morton Bay Bug gyōza for a delightful surprise. I wouldn't recommend the Pale Ale tho; leaves something to be desired. Good for a night out with friends if you're in Darling Harbour. Fratelli Fresh next door has games if you're still up for that.
L. B.
I’ve checked out this place the day it opened and have visit a 4/5 times since. The food and service was great however, the past few times the service has deteriorated. Food takes too long to come to the table. They seem very understaffed. Food is still good, just the service lets it down.
H. D.
Best place in happy hour. Should try food long fries
M. P. p.
It’s nice beer , and nice Gyoza would be back soon^^
D. W.
Fast fresh and tasty gyoza. Eaten at the original in Tokyo loads and although it’s not as good as the original it’s still pretty good.
R. S.
Ok... Not hurry to be back . It's more for beers drinkers
B. H.
Great atmosphere and good staff.
Had mainly gyoza, tastes alright but was quite expensive for what I had.
1. 1.
Excellent beer, freshly brewed on site, and some decent finger food to go with it. Add happy hour specials to the mix, and you'll be coming back, again and again.
T. J.
The serving size of the rice bowls was quite small for the price. The goyza was a bit salty for my taste. Was not happy with overall service.
A. N.
Good food but service needs some minor improvement. I went during lunchtime and it seems like they could have had an extra staff member - the waitress forgot table water and had unusual problems settling the bill using the tablet.
G. T.
I've been here a couple of times and love the cheeseburger gyoza. Staff are good, and everything is well priced. Only losing a star because our pork gyoza was burnt and the kagame was a bit average.
S. K.
The cheeseburger gyoza are amazing. Service was fine, they didn't have a lot of the beers we wanted to try, but the food made up for it
K. S.
Charcoal chicken karage cheese fondue and cheeseburger gyozas are the bomb!! Great beer selection too 👍👍
s. p.
I really liked the seating layout for the space they have. Food tasted great. Sadly they didn't have most of the items on their drinks menu available bat the time.
A. K.
A great range of eclectic Japanese style beers & food. I haven't personally tried the food, but it looks delicious & the staff are amazing. 😎
K. M.
Great food .
Great atmosphere 👌
R.
Good dumplings but prices have been increasing constantly over the three times I've been there. Some of the good are hard to justify purchasing at the higher price (such as the foot long fries)
E. D.
Gyoza dishes were great. Service was good. Staff were friendly and responsive.
T.
$10 jugs of beer or cider depending what’s in special amazing value great place to also eat although we didn’t try the food going by how packed the place was it must have been very nice
R. L.
Sake is very clean. Also good value of you get a single pour and lots of "Serbisu". Share food portions are not large. Minimum 4 for 2 not hungry people.
D. O. C. (.
One of the best places to eat when being near Darling Harbour and near the Powerhouse Museum! I love the food there and I even love the drinks! Definitely recommendable for friend hangouts and dates!
D. G.
The concept is fantastic but value for money is very poor. $11 for a schooner and $12 for a plate of five small Gyoza is a bit out of line
A. A. K.
Incredible experience! Staff are friendly and efficient!
C. W.
Good food and nice beer.
B. C.
The food here is nice. Service was pleasant, but you should walk to the end of the bar to get the staff's attention to seat you, and not wait around the door
A. S.
Lots of snacks to choose from (although all fried) and good variety of different beers! Good vibes - gets abit busy after work so come early or book?
P. G.
Almost like your in downtown Shinjuku but the restaurants are rarely this big. The food is Japanese with a western twist and never had a bad beer there.
B. P.
This is one of my favourite places to visit with friends, happy hour is a great time to chill out with friends without spending too much and the beer is amazing
M. B.
Excellent service, food and beer with an amazing view! A fantastic take on a Japanese favourite - the open pork belly Gyoza was especially good.
m.
The lemongrass chicken and the prawn gyoza were my favourites. Nice atmosphere and service is quick.
B. H.
Great concept, good quality beers and delicious gyoza. Unfortunately they were out of a few of my choices of beers and whisky, but I liked what I tried.
J. B.
So Japanese . Beers are ok. But not really craft according to me. Go there for the $10 jug . Food is tasty enough . service is a bit confusing
A. A.
Great place for lunch - good ordering system also - only inconvenient if it’s a business - ordering becomes a bit awkward
N. S.
Mozeralla and vegetable gyoza are so yummy.
I'm the matcha and Nutella ones are fantastic too but I'm dad they have taken matcha off the menu!
A. M.
Amazing gyoza in more flavors than you can imagine, and wonderful desserts. The staff is fast, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.
K. H.
Great atmosphere and enjoyed Japanese authentic karaage and Gyoza but we felt a little pricy for everything.
Staff were lovely and attentive.
Z.
Strange fitout, but good location, very friendly service and great food and drinks. Try and snag a table looking at the passing procession of people.
C. L.
Funky space with delicious gyoza, food and nice selection of sakes and beers. Definitely need to book for Friday lunch!
K. A.
Lemongrass Chicken Gyoza was smelling a little. Honey Cream Lager was good. Fries were obviously pretty good.
P. S.
Terrific food, great service and some of the best craft beer around. A must try are the foot long fries and cheeseburger gyoza.
B. W.
Sorry Google I was not there but I am sure it is good
M. F.
Service was pleasant and attentive, and an interesting range of (slightly expensive) beers unfortunately let down by the food. Tried the pork and prawn gyoza, found the skin too thick and despite being grilled not particularly hot. Also …
A. J.
Seems like the place to be on a nice Sydney evening as you're able to watch a fair bit of the population walking by. The beers aren't cheap but there is a good range of craft ales and a stout. I didn't have any food but I saw plenty of people who were enjoying theirs. Worth a try.
O.
I thoroughly enjoyed their beer and cider. The mozzarella dumplings were memorable, a few issues with my order which was quickly fixed. I wasn't a fan of the the pork dumplings, duck dumolings, eggplant and chips.
C. C.
Some of the food options were quite good such as the lemon grass chicken gyoza, cheeseburger gyoza and lychee cocktail teapot however many were lacking such as the pork belly, duck gyoza etc. …
T. J.
The serving size of the rice bowls was quite small for the price. The goyza was a bit salty for my taste. Was not happy with overall service.
M. B.
Great place for after work drinks. The hamburger gyozas awesome. Friendly quick service.
A. L.
Drinks - 5/5
Food - 3/5 a little bit expensive and portions are not the best
Service is very respectable, but waiting time is not the fastest
K. N.
Found this place while attending a conference at the ICC. Amazing beers that are brewed onsite, great tasting food and excellent service. It was so good I went back the next day!
W. W.
great food, amazing quality and a wonderful place to be. The food is the most amazing Japanese food i have ever eaten and its a rich tapestry of food and drink and i definitely recommend it
S. S.
Japanese beer on tap, and an endless cavalcade of gyoza and fried chicken. If there's another place better to spend a sunny afternoon in the city, I'm yet to hear of it.
M. W.
Pretty good Japanese eatery. Great gyoza and simple rice dishes. The Japanese beer and cider tasted great.
E. B.
The service was so slow but the food was good. It's a good place to hang out with your friends to have a beer.
J. J.
Good food. Interesting locally brewed beer. Pleasant location
M. C.
This place has a really good vibe with a great selection of beers.
However, the food is quite average for its price.
J. A.
Food was quick and great tasting. Best chicken karaage I've had in a long time. Staff was friendly and fast.
C. J.
Lovely service, great food. What more can you ask for?
A. H.
Nice place, good beer.
R. H.
Great beer, great Gyoza (and other light snacks, the karaage chicken options are yum!).
A. T.
One of the best experiences I've had in a Sydney restaurant. Staff where amazing, food was incredible and drinks where great!
L. R.
Chicken katsu curry bowl is super delicious. The beers are superb. Love this place!!
A. A.
Yummy! The poached duck gyoza with spicy vinegar is incredible..
Drinks, Gyoza and good company.....all topped off with the scenery of Darling Harbour... Do yourself a favour.. ;)
L. J.
Great atmosphere and selection of alcohol but I did expect more out of the gyoza options.
C. B.
Beer is ok, nothing special. But the gyoza is amazing. Try the duck ones, by far my faves.
S. Y.
its ok i guess, but seriously 3 bucks for a tiny bowl of rice
C. D.
Great venue to go with colleagues or friends for lovely craft beer and gyoza and fried chicken!
M. T.
Good value during happy hours 3 to 6pm! $5 selected beer comes wz fried chicken😄

Would defiantly recommend!!!
V. P.
Awesome! Really enjoyed the food and it was great that they had gluten free options.
L. H.

Great food. Great vibes. The staff are really entertaining.
