Booked a table here for a friend’s birthday. The food proportions were huge and marinated very nicely. Staff were professional and exceptional, going above and beyond with their customer service. Price was not too expensive either. Overall a nice place for a group of friends to drink, eat and have fun!

Came here for lunch.. very busy place. Luckily was able to get a table. Make sure to book if you’re going to avoid being disappointed. The location is great, make sure to get a window table or outside to enhance your experience. On to the food, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Their speciality is ribs and seafood. Delicious ribs. Order beef and lamb. The chips require a mention. Great taste. Most restaurants do not know how to make chips. Hurricane’s get it right. Also don’t forget to get an Irish coffee to wash it all down.. lol Awesome staff and a Great experience. Note that given the location, the prices are $$$.

***FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE***
✅ The ribs is just so yummy. Comes with 1 side and chose the sweet potato fries which I loved. It was a very big serving and definitely for sharing.
🧐 Ordered a salad and salt pepper squid as well but not exceptional.
✅ Staff was approachable despite the busy environment.
📌 My friend had a reservation for us. Would recommend you to have a reservation as there are a lot of people. Dined here on a Tuesday night.
✅ We had a good view of the harbour sitting near the glass wall.
📌 Did not remember the price as my friend paid for it.

Absolutely spectacular ribs - ordered the full rack of pork ribs - meat was literally falling off the bone with no chewing required - succulent and bursting with flavour . The most perfect ribs I have ever eaten ( and I have eaten quite a few over the years). Easily would go back any time . Thoroughly recommended.

Very overpriced for mediocre food. My bacon cheese burger was nothing special and a little dry, my friends had a Caesar salad and they forgot to add the bacon. When pointed out nothing was done except "we'll be sure to tell the kitchen".
G. C.
Got the $67 rib platter. Asked if I could get steamed vegetables as well. Was told "No".
I thought well, fine.
The lamb ribs were undercooked and I couldn't get the meat off the bones. It was very fatty too. The pork ribs were dry and boring, and tasted of ashtrays. The chips were tasteless and like eating cardboard.
I gave up and went home. Made myself a nice mushroom omelette instead.
R. J.
Fabulous food and the cocktails were delicious (recommend the Kiwi Crush).

Hurricane is one of those restaurants with a very high consistency in food and service quality. Their food is just amazing.
Ribs are mouth watering, steaks are so high quality and cooked exactly as you ask. The varietu of desserts is also good.
We have been welcomed to this place even when it was so busy and we didn't have a booking. Friendly and caring staff, and an amazing vibe.
C. &. K. N.
Ribs were amazing and the service was excellent! Look forward to returning soon.
M. S. T.
We came in early, an hour before our booking. They where very accommodating and was able to place a seat for us. The service is good, staff where all friendly and smiling. Yeah they all wear mask but you can hear the tone of the voice and the way the eyes move. 😁✌️🏻
T. H. F.
Went here last night for my 50th with some family. Asked for a seat outside and they accommodated us which was lovely.
We ordered the cheesy garlic bread and Louisiana wings. The bread was lovely and so were the wings. But the wings were actually about 7 pieces which I thought was too expensive for what it was as we didn't get any blue cheese sauce with it.
My ribeye bone in was good but was overcooked and not a hell alot of meat but still excellent tasting.
The service was exceptional with one server I think perhaps a Lebanese lady was very attentive and on the ball.
I guess my issue was that for 55 dollars for a steak I expected to come with two sides but it's just one and very limited options. Our sons girlfriend just ordered the side salad and it was pretty dismal with no dressing and little quantity.
Overall it was very good and I would go back again.
Lovely views too.

Celebrated my partners Bday last night here in Hurricane’s Grill Darling Harbour. No starter needed and ordered pure mains boy I wasn’t disappointed. Tried the seafood platter for 1 and I loved it. Always worth coming back for the ribs.

Food was good - Recommend the Steak Platter for $60+ (Feeds two adults easily)
4 stars because champagne was overpriced for such low standards.
Heads up that bookings are essential- went over the Easter weekend and saw people being turned down due to long wait lines without bookings.
H. H.
The beef ribs are so so delicious! I ordered the combo with a top sirloin and salad. The ribs tasted very juicy. It maybe not so tender but I really love the chunky taste. The meet itself has a very strong flavour of smoke, with sauce topped on it, very impressive. The vibe is a little noisy but the view of the darling harbour is very enjoyable. Love this place. :)
B. G. S.
The only thing that is good is possibly the ribs...(also inconsistent we ordered two plates of pork ribs and one plate was super dry). The lamb ribs was a genuine surprise as it was really tender and much more flavourful compared to the pork. They gave us a glass of prosecco each (all adults on the table) which was a nice NYE festive touch.
T. D.
Nice foods and their staff were nice to help. I already have come back many times and always have good experiences with my friends. Love to come back and support the restaurant. 😁

Hurricanes is a bar and grill famous for their succulent ribs and BBQ meat. The Hurricanes menu is that popular, they have a number of venues around Sydney. You can guarantee a good protein fix there! We visited the Darling Harbour location and you can find it in the Harbourside shopping centre overlooking the harbour with a view of the Sydney skyline.
It is a spacious venue with floor to ceiling glass to take advantage of the views. It is extremely large with plenty of tables, a bar and open plan so you could easily host a large party. We arrived at 12 noon and within 15 minutes the place was packed! It clearly is very popular and for good reason.
We were promptly taken to our table by lovely staff and seated right at the windows with a lovely outlook. We perused the menu and began with some drinks. The passionfruit mojito was excellent, and you can also get a number of other cocktails, beers and wines from their bar.
Food wise, we obviously ordered some ribs!Hurricanes are famous for their ribs and steaks and they use a unique basting sauce to provide a lovely flavour to their meats. Meat cuts are all halal certified from their suppliers and can have no sauce upon request. Since we wanted a try of all of them, we opted for the meat platter with pork, lamb and beef ribs. Whilst they were all good, pork was our favourite. They came with some tasty fries and it was a generous serving.
Whilst hurricanes may not be known first and foremost as a seafood restaurant, but there’s plenty of seafood options too and we found it to be of excellent quality. Perfectly cooked, the scallops and mussels were served in the open shell, and the platter came with split prawns, half a lobster, salmon fillet, tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid. Served atop a plate of rice, all items were delicious.
Whilst we didn’t have a steak on this visit, Hurricanes are notorious for their steak. There’s numerous meats and cuts to select from. Whether it be the rump, strip stirloin, fillet tenderloin or T bone, you will find your perfect match. Wagyu, dry aged or long fed beef, Meats come with your choice of fries, salad or baked potato and you can order a sauce to accompany it. Hurricanes also serve other main menu items like beef cheeks, lamb cutlets, pork knuckle, grilled chicken, burgers and more. If you are super hungry or a couple wanting to share a meal Hurricanes have a number of combo deals. There’s desserts to top off your dining experience.
The menu is certainly extremely approachable so we imagine it would satisfy any dining party.

Pretty good. Late afternoon and service was quick comparatively to other times. The burger was great. The rib glaze can be a bit bitter due to the way it was cooked. Don't be afraid to give them this feedback for replacement. Absolutely recommend the Louisiana style Buffalo wings! Some of the best wings I've had in Sydney.
C. C. R.
This is a Rib and steak house in a prime location. Most of the customer are tourists, and make sure to make a reservation before.
This place is well decorated, nice ambiance, family friendly, and suitable for a large group as well.
The food taste very okay, well presented, the service was good in terms of friendliness and the efficiency. So, for tourist, must go to this place especially for the first timer.
J. Y.
A very decent dining experience. Tables were well spaced apart so it didn't feel crowded. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered a Khaleesi cocktail, bbq Chicken and ribs combo as well as corn on the cob. None were disappointing though I've had better ribs at cheaper establishments. The harbour view was nice.
B. Z.
Great view , great service and delicious ribs 😋
J. D.
It's not fine dinning however the ribs were cooked perfectly. The rib bone was just sliding sliding off the flesh. This is evidence of how tender it all was. On this occasion i ordered the combo which had a portion of the lamb, beef and pork ribs.
P. P.
The best pork ribs, very nice😋
s. c.
The views are wonderful. Rib and steak are very delicious. Combo can mix both steak and ribs with lower price. Suggest ppl come earlier around 1800 in order to prevent from long queue especially weekends.
F. O.
Me and my partner went there for dinner without a booking and the host was very helpful.
The food is good, the only downside was the fact that the menu had no non-alcoholic drinks and that the food came while we were eating the entrés.
S. N.
Went to the restaurant for the first time and we were welcomed by the staff and placed at the table we reserved. Ordered food and they served quick and there was not much of a waiting time. Food was great. The steak with sweet potato portion was good so as the grilled chicken breast. I am giving 4 star only because you need to pay extra for the additional sauces.
K. C.
Come to Hurricane's Darling Harbour if you'd like to get fed whilst looking at amazing views. You'll usually need to book in advance. I thought the pork ribs was good value but a little dry, the Portuguese chicken was actually really good - succulent with excellent flavour.
W. T. T.
Best ribs in town. Visiting Sydney, eating here is synonymous with visiting the Opera house and the Habour Bridge. Service is efficient and food is excellent!
R. A. A.
We made a booking before heading to the restaurant as we understood that the restaurant is very popular. The staffs were friendly. The location of the restaurant is very good. It is located on the upper floor of the building. We were amazed by the beautiful view when we entered the store. We tried the sangria, pork ribs, Portuguese grilled chicken and steak. The price were reasonable. The Portuguese grilled chicken were slightly spicy compared to the other dishes. It will be a great place to hang around with family and friends for a meal.
P.
Full Rack of Beef ribs will definitely fill your belly for $57
A. P.
Full rack of pork ribs never disappoints. Tender and saucey, absolutely delicious. Chips were soggy as usual though. I feel like the price increases every year and the waits get even longer. We came at 6 with no reservation and still ended up waiting half an hour. Prepare to wait even longer during peak dinner time.
J. D. R. C.
The best pork ribs!!!. 😋 you won't be disappointed
P. L.
Nice place to have tasty ribs. The seafood platter was superb too.
Friendly service and prices are fair for a premium location in Darling Harbour. We had great view of the waterfront.
M.
Good grilled meat, however the tomahawk is a bit of a let down.
K. U.
Ordered the chicken breast and sweet potato fries. Chicken was ok but chips over cooked and find it odd that they couldn’t do split chips and salad. They gave too much chips
A. L.
The quality of the pork ribs have decreased in quality a little bit. The meat was on the dry side and served warmed. The sweet potato chips were delicious and crispy. The mac and cheese balls were meh. They were pretty dry and the truffle flavours was next to nothing.
Service was good, the waitress made sure we had everything we needed, unfortunately this was let down by the slow service. Took forever to serve our first drink order and the ribs took awhile to serve.
Overall a nostalgic meal but the quality has definitely dipped here.
M. W.
Oh yes, the best place to go for a ribs fix. I really enjoyed their rack of lamb; amazingly juicy in the centre, coated with the right amount of sauce, cooked to the perfect amount of char. Sweet potato fries are a must here. Tough and overly charred, you could probably skip the beef ribs.
T. H. H. N.
I have an incredible dining experience in Hurricane’s Grill Darling Harbour. The rump is very delicious with tasty fried sweet potato as Nirja’s recommendation. She is so nice, friendly and sweet. Raise star point for her ❤️❤️! She made my day with birthday celebration 🎉🎉🎉 Love it and enjoy the dessert 👍👍! Highly Recommended! Shout out her name, Nirja! Thank you so much.
K. C.
This is a very good place for grill ribs, they were so juicy and rich in flavour. If you are a BBQ person, you would like this place. The service was great, staff was very friendly. We went on a rainy day and it was jam packed on that day, tho all the dishes were kept up to the pace, the kids love all the food. It's the place for family gathering, friends hangout, date night. Basically any occasions. You might want to come in a little bit earlier before the dinner or lunch time, cause there are always line waiting during the meals time. If you are driving, you could park your car at the Star casino, it takes about 10 mins walk from there to the restaurant.
D. O.
Great view of the Darling Harbour, great food and excellent service. Advisable to reserve a table. We had the steaks: scotch filly and the New Yorker that were juicy and tasty. The pork ribs came highly recommended too.
Y. S.
I was so satisfied with this restaurant. Special food. Very kind stuff. Wonderful service.
I regret to have been there at lunch time because I think the scene from seats near the window is very beautiful at night. So, next time I’ll go there at night.
J. M.
With the city blanketed in cloud, I left my comfort zone to go eat meat in Darling Harbour. Hurricane’s Grill made its name at a fledgling restaurant in Bondi Beach. People have flocked there to eat their famous ribs since 1994, so it feels remiss of me not to have visited.
The Darling Harbour outpost was opened a decade ago in 2008. It has aged well by keeping the epic view of the CBD skyline central to the glass-box décor, which also employs lots of flames. With the city whiting out almost completely while I dined, the trenches of dancing flames held more interest than the floor-to-ceiling windows and the open-air balcony.
Hurricane’s Grill is all about ribs, bibs and bro’ culture. It’s loud and confronting, with a queue outside, and long tables of mostly men with booming voices within. Tables for two seem to be in much shorter supply than they are at most restaurants I visit. When heaving platters of meat arrive it’s intriguing to watch these tables descend into silence, and beads of the meat sweat begin to form upon furrowed brows. Eating meat here is serious business for this mostly working-class crowd.
With the wine list not being very exciting, and the beer list too mainstream for a crafty drinker like me, I hit up Sangria ($40) served only by the jug. Your forty buck spend will deliver you four glasses filled about two-thirds of the way to the top with summery, light sangria made using gin, red wine, brandy and two kinds of vermouth.
Being newbies we pass up the tempting Pork Knuckle ($40) special in favour of the Hurricane’s BBQ Meat Platter ($55/head). Presenting five different types of meat and one side for each participant, it’s a good way to taste across the menu’s main meats. The standout are the beef ribs with their signature, dark and fruity sauce, well-rendered fat and meat that falls off the bone.
With the original idea for Hurricane’s Grill being based upon a South African steakhouse, seeing boerewors wasn’t a surprise, though I didn’t expect them to be a small straight sausage rather than the usual coil. It’s finely grained and accessible, though to make it really sing you’re going to need to order Monkey Gland Sauce ($3) – a fruity and tangy South African barbeque sauce. Our 200-gram top sirloins, both ordered medium-rare, edged more towards medium despite the platter arriving super quickly. They’re basted the same way as the lamb loin chop that accompanies them, which can get a bit same-same as you wade through all the meat. Sauces are your salvation, though none actually come with your initial platter spend.
With your barbeque-basted chicken wing, I’d normally suggest Peri Peri Sauce ($3) but I found the Hurricane’s rendition too tomato heavy for my liking. Blue Cheese Sauce ($3) on the other hand, is really good, so long as you like it heavy on the fried garlic powder and light on pungent cheese. I found it worked a treat on both the chicken and the sweet potato fries. The side salad was a bit lacklustre, but I’m guessing nobody comes to Hurricane’s Grill to eat salad.
And say you did find yourself falling in love with a Hurricane's Grill condiment, never fear, everything from their signature rib baste to the South African Monkey Gland sauce that went so well with the sausage is available in bottles to take away.

This restaurant is located in the middle of darling harbour with a nice view outside, food was awesome, especially the Beef Ribs that was 😋 yummy.
G.
Garlic Prawns are a winner and can't not come here for Ribs.
Staff were very good and friendly!
D. S.
Had lunch at Hurricane's on the recent Public Holiday. Had a booking and was quickly seated in a prime view spot over Darling Harbour.
Service by the staff was excellent and our orders were taken promptly.
Food service was quick and my order of a rare rump was cooked to perfection. The side of sweet potato fires was so tasty. Also had a bowl of the steamed vegetables, also cooked perfectly.
Would highly recommended trying Hurricane's for a lunch visit.
K. T.
Had an awesome time at Hurricanes Grill Darling Harbour tonight with my family.
The service was excellent and friendly led by our waitress Amanda (who is also a handy photographer). You can tell the management at this restaurant know how to put the customer first. All the staff had a smile on their face and were singing happy birthday to the various parties there.
Our food and drinks were a delight and the pork ribs were the biggest I had ever seen - trademark Hurricanes. The restaurant had a great vibe as well which lifted the mood and made the night even better.
Definitely recommend a visit to this Hurricanes - best one of the chain in Sydney. Will be coming back here for sure.
N. F.
Really good place for ribs and would definitely recommend getting the pork ribs. You will be absolutely full with the portion sizes, however, service wasn't amazing.
I.
This was the best place in Sydney where I had ribs and steak! It usually have long queue but it worth the wait.
Servers are busy too due to number of people eating here so have patience with them.
R. K.
I cannot begin to explain how amazing the food is here. The steak and ribs are always delicious with plenty of flavour.
Service was quick and efficent but my friends plate was taken away when I was only half way done leaving him to sit there slightly awkwardly with nothing in front of him. I understand they were doing their job etc. but maybe they could have left his plate a moment longer.
Amazing food though. Would happily and easily recommend.
P. C.
Came here for my fiancé birthday - excellent service, just was expecting to be offered a complimentary for his birthday as many restaurants we have been to in past offered Comp bubbles or dessert. But besides that great atmosphere and friendly service.
S. O.
Lovely view, great steak!!! Also had half rump pork ribs. Had to queue at 8.30pm and got a seat about 9.10pm. Was worth the wait though. Food came real quickly.
F. M.
The signature steak was really well cooked and I really liked the burnt exterior though the fat was a bit lacking in flavour. Fries were average. In the location it is, it's a well oiled machine and does very well to churn out so many quality steaks. Lovely views too.
B. T.
Recommended by relative and we went there for dinner. It is a great place to go for ribs, with fantastic view to the Darling harbor. The bbq sauce is sweet and tasty. The texture of ribs are just nice, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. We had to order an extra plate of ribs until we are satisfied.
B. C.
After all these years, I still quite like it's signature fullrack ribs.
Kids friendly! As they offer kids menus with colouring activity, so parents can chill with a beer while they are occupied 😉
The waiter and waitress were nice and helpful.
BUT!!! The staff in bar section kept dropping bottles onto some bin/basket, and constantly made unpleasant loud noises of glass breaking!!!
Suggest to prepare earplugs if you are determined to have a meal with pretty harbour view but crazy background noise...
A. S.
The location of Hurricane restaurant is very central. If you get a table next to the window the view is amazing in the evening. Atmosphere is great and cozy. The staff seemed cool and not intrusive so we had great private dinner experience. The food seems pretty average in my opinion and I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't anything memorable. I'm also a bit confused about the must have booking(including booking fee) when the restaurant was half empty.
D. E.
The steak that I had was cooked as ordered and tender, and I liked the peppercorn sauce. The side salad was fairly small. Prices felt a bit on the high side for the quantity. Service was prompt, despite us being a group of 15. Lots of drink options.
L. H.
Best steak in Sydney!
Highly recommended
Both Owner and staff were more than accommodating
Would definitely return again 😊
T. S. F.
Had a gathering with my buddies and their spouse n kids. Both the pork and beef ribs were great and was a huge rack. The steak and the beer was good too, just a tad too many people, both tourists and locals alike. Oh and did I mention the fireworks that sets off at 8.30pm? Beautiful if ur sat by the window facing the harbour:)
T. R.
The location for this place is pretty spectacular and you pay accordingly with prices for everything from sides to drinks to mains pumped twenty percent compared to similar places close by. Another gripe is that their platters for two can only be purchased as a pair (effectively making them platters for four) but this not mentioned anywhere on the menu.
On a positive note the food was great, pork ribs that fell apart with the slightest touch but still juicy and plump. The service though was the real standout, we were always attended to promptly whenever we needed anything and always done in a freindly, efficient manner.
Don't know when I'll be back though, maybe if it's anothe work function.
S. K.
There's been a few harsh reviews about the staff lately, but that's not my experience (Nov 2016). It's a good setting, even on a Sunday night, if you haven't booked, you'll probably wait 30-60 mins for a table - the place is really busy. Come here for the ribs, and yes, the pork is probably better than the beef. Pricey, but it's the Harbour, so...... PS. Come here when the fireworks are on... Very good...
A. H.
Amazing food, nice atmosphere and service. Their famous ribs menu with the sweet potato chips is unbeatable.
o. t.
Amazing steaks and ribs. Mostt of the meat is halal but ask them to make it halal as the basting for the ribs has alcohol.
T. T. R.
$173 for two started and 2 mains is overpriced, though the steak I had was amazing and was cooked to perfection.
Views great and staff were friendly and polite.
B. Q.
A beautiful place to enjoy ribs with views of Darling Harbour. I came here on a very busy Saturday Night with a large group. Maybe that's why I didn't feel the service was good. Some of the waiters were amazing and some gave the impression that they are bothered by having us. Other than that the food was great and the location is wonderful. I would give it another try for sure.
s.
nice view...
but nothing special about the ribs🙃
E.
The food is good, except for the wings are kinda burnt, I disliked the bitterness taste. Talked to a waiter but he didn't effectively resolve the issue, and then a waitress came and changed it for us with much better ones, she was very professional. I love the Shiraz, the scollop, and the steak too! The restaurant got a beautiful harbour view, and the price is affordable.
M. H.
Good spot for getting your hands on grilled ribs in Sydney. The pork ribs can sometimes be little dry but most times they are well cooked. The chicken wings are also recommended!
M. S.
Giving 4 stars because our reservation wasn't on their list even though it was confirmed, also because it's very pricy. Other than that the food was amazing and the service was great too. We ordered garlic mushrooms, wings, beef ribs, a mocktail and a milkshake. The ribs were phenomenal, would definitely come here again just for ribs.
L. M.
We LOVE Hurricane's Grill Restaurant's 💖 The basting sauce is delicious! It's one of our favourite places for ribs 🤤
G. C.
I tried the 450 gram prime ribeye on bone medium rare and chose sweet potato fries to go with that and had no regrets. The steak was cooked well with just the right level of pink when cut. The sweet potato fries were delicious too.
s. e.
Wonderful service, great lamb shanks and combo ribs . Enjoyed it a lot . Thanks
M.
Hurricanes what can I say, family went out to dinner, it was such an enjoyable night, food was great very tasty as you can see from the photos we had two full racks of beef ribs and one full rack of pork ribs and a chicken schnitzel, the service was fantastic very friendly.. prices were very reasonable, it’s family friendly, go down and give it a go No regrets.
J. T.
My friend ordered the rump steak & it came out Blue so that was a bit of a let down. My meal however, was absolutely AMAZING. I got a full rack of lamb ribs with mushroom sauce & chips and it's safe to say it's probably my favourite meal ever. The service was great & the view was even better.
P.
Their pork ribs are famous but i think it is over rated. It was dry and chewy, last year i came here and had the beef ribs which was better than the pork one. I love their sweet potatoe fries although most of them were slightly burned .
R. G.
Friendly staff, but the pork ribs were very dry and overcooked, disappointingly. The fish however was delish.
M. T.
The place is so popular that my wait time for a table was >1 hour. I didn't mind this so much though, as the area has plenty to see and do in the mean time. And BOY was it worth the wait! The meals were massive and full of flavour, a real must for any meat-lover.
a. g.
We ate here as a group of 5 hungry men for my pop’s birthday on 12/07, and the wait staff was impeccable! The food was incredible as well! Thanks to everyone that helped make the evening possible!
R. K.
Tender ribs served warm with a side (choice: baked potato, sweet potato chips, chips or salad)
Went there on a Saturday night, booking is recommended as it was super crowded.
P. K. F. C.
My wife, our younger son and I walked here from the Sydney Opera House on the third night (Sunday) of the Year of the Dog 2018. We waited for 15 minutes and got a window table for an hour 21:30-22:30. We had the signature sirloin steak (which was disappointing), lamb cutlet (which was very good) and fish (OK) all with chips and believed, overall, we got more or less what we paid for!
버.
Welcome and serve couldn't be better. I ordered lamb loin chop and salad. Steak was great but the mixed salad dressing is kind of too sour to me. Sweeter dressing option I want to choose in next visit.
B. C. N.
The restaurant was full when i came so i ordered for taking away and waiting for 20 minutes. It was so beautiful 😍
Z. M.
Read some good and bad reviews, tried to book online and Google said that there isn't available spot, rang the restaurant and got told that booking is closed for the day. Decided to go and check, got in without any problems. Great location. Ordered half a rack of beef ribs and half pork. Was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Food and drinks came out pretty quick. Staff members took good care of us, everything was just perfect.
J. S.
Pretty disappointed as I had high hopes. I ordered the wagyu steak which was average at best. It was cooked rare though my order was medium rare. Perhaps it was a busy Saturday evening? The service was good though and the lychee mocktail was delicious!
C. N.
Sinfully delicious and big rib! The Scallops is a must try too! Great view of Darling Harbour from here!
P. C.
They have relatively friendly staff and are often a crazy crowded and loud restaurant but can be a nice spot for special occasions. Can be a little pricey too. Nice view of the harbour! The cheapest steak is a little small, probably would be more filling if you get it with chips.
T. T.
Service was great. Bookings essential due to restrictions set menu is $55 drinks are extra
d. (.
Food was great although the wait staff gave me the wrong steak... i ordered a sirloin steak and what came out was a strip loin steak i would have given the restaurant a higher rating but the waitress screwed up my order 😒
Y. P.
Nice Rib and steaks! I also love the fried calamari ! Great view as well.

Meat lover’s paradise! Make sure you try the ribs, cooked to perfection and with a perfectly matched sauce. Went here for a work farewell lunch and service was speedy and attentive although the restaurant was quiet due to the lack of tourists in the Darling Harbour area. Reasonable prices for its location.

Great restaurant. Loved the salt and pepper squid and the watermelon cocktail was amazing
Y.
Good harbour view. The staff was very friendly. The lamb ribs were well cooked and the mushroom soup was tasty.

Used to dine here couple years ago. Now just came back to Sydney for visit. Rib is still very tasty. However services a bit let down. Staffs werent attentive much. Water not even been serve. Steak wasnt medium rare liked we requested. Meh!
R. S. (.
Big portion, delicious sauce and good service. Better to make booking before since it was very crowded.
G. C.
Fantastic, superb steak, excellent salads and marvelous cocktails....highly recommended.
P. F.
Great service, delicious ribs and plenty of beer, so filling, great place
T. H. (. C.
Service can definitely improve a lot more. Food is decent. Rare wagyu is actually medium rare but still decent quality
E. D.
Have always enjoyed eating here, and it is a must try if you're visiting Sydney. However, a word or two for advice - always make a reservation and try not to have your reservation early. The trainee waiters and waitresses can drive you up the wall and spoil your experience. Food wise I guess, it was better before but that is the price you pay for it being famous.
J.
The whole atmosphere was great.
Foods, Staff, Service.
More than 5 stars
H. T.
Good restaurant but I don't like the pork Ribs
S. A.
Loved the steak and chicken. Very well behaved and friendly staff.
T. H.
Unbelievable ribs. Like, amazing. Great staff here too. Really friendly and polite.
y. s.
U can get perfect timing for dinner n view of Darling Harbour if u book.
Could be think expensive but if u r short-term tourists, worthy. Taste was just normal :)
K. M.
Food was good. Portions were big.
However, it was overcrowded and very noisy.
E. A.
Had a lovely experience tonight! The pork ribs were amazing as always and was happily surprised by the beef ribs as well. Tender and juicy with amazing sweet bbq glaze! The shining moment of our night was our amazing waitress Innes who went above and beyond to make our experience great and her happy personality and attitude really shined though. 10/10!
R. X.
Wonderful place with a great view. The range of food is great with friendly service. The only room for improvement is that the ribs were a little dry and not as tender as I expected it to be with the price.
Verdict: a place with terrific view on darling harbour with decent food and service.
D. L.
Decent restaurant with good views on the harbour. Be aware, very crowded, many families, very loud. Good ribs though that are served very quickly, everything else take time. Okay cocktails.
A. M.
Great steak and burgers with darling harbour views
R. X.
Scotch filet not that good. Pork ribs is delicious. View is nice.
J. T. (. S.
Fantastic view with big portion of meat makes this place a great restaurant to hang out after long hard day.

Whilst hurricanes may not be known first and foremost as a seafood restaurant, but there's plenty of seafood options too and we found it to be of excellent quality. Perfectly cooked, the scallops and mussels were served in the open shell, and the platter came with split prawns, half a lobster, salmon fillet, tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid. Served atop a plate of rice, all items were delicious.
Whilst we didn't have a steak on this visit, Hurricanes are notorious for their steak. There's numerous meats and cuts to select from. There's desserts to top off your dining experience.
The menu is certainly extremely approachable so we imagine it would satisfy any dining party.
S. K.
The staff here are amazing, we had dinner here and the staff went out their way to ensure we were comfortable, especially gordon. Food was also great. we really enjoyed our night especially the kids, will come again highly recommended.
M. L.
Great staff, quick service and the pork ribs are very tasty.
K. A. S.
My favourite pork ribs are located here! Everytime I'm in Sydney I will make an effort to visit hurricanes and their awesome full rack of pork ribs!
S. S.
Great food and a stunning view!

Octa wijayanti 1 off staff member really friendly wonderful
G. P.
Great location/view (when eating outside), good service from attentive staff, and yummy food. Some pricey dishes, but is expected from the higher tier dining experience and service.
B. J.
The night view was perfect, but I don’t recommend if you’re not a super-duper big fan of steak.
S. Z.
Absolutely loved the ribs! Haven’t been back for a while and the ribs are just as good as how I remembered them. The new vivid menu was also great, I tried the cocktail and it was very nice. The rib basket for $25 with chips is also a smashing hit.
Great manager Gordon that served our table was very professional and helpful, very attentive to our large group. We had a great night!
M. R.
Food good, service average
Constantly bringing food we did not order
A. K.
It was the second time. They arranged the window table for me, even I booked a table about 3 hours ago. Food is always nice. Staffs are good, and the guy who takes order for me is awesome.
M. C.
I had the full track beef ribs with strawberry shake and both of them were awesome and surprisingly quick.
All the staff were super friendly and caring for the customer.

Great service, nice atmosphere excellent tasting cocktails and delicious food

Nice place, very good food and good service although quite busy at the evenings and may take quite some time before you can get your food. Also a bit pricey
お.
Amazing ribs, great steak, most of all best bang for the buck! Totally recommend
E. G.
Amazing! My partner and I came for dinner and had such a great time. I follow a strict gluten free diet and the manager Andrew was informative and went through what dishes would be suitable for me. My partner had the ribs and rates them still as Sydney's best ribs. Service was efficient and friendly. We will be back!
H. H.
Chilli chicken burger and chips was very well done. A beautiful mix of flavours and not too spicy. Only downside was the kids birthday party going on whilst we were having a meal. The kids were very noisy and quite annoying. Apart from that it was a quality restaurant if not a little pricy.
J. R.
The food was absolutely delicious and they scenery is good aswell. But the manager needs to know that i have had a very bad experience. once I ordered food for my family and we waited for 1HOUR!. unbelievable. pls get your good cooking chefs to be quicker
B. D.
Went here with my partner
I ordered the 1/2 rack of pork ribs with the baked potato.
She had the Rump steak with mushroom sauce.
The rump steak was cooked beautifully, and just right. Was a quality cut and flavoursome.
Unfortunately that is really the only good thing I have to say about the food.
I was very underwhelmed by the ribs. They tasted frozen and was quite bland and a bit burnt.
The potato was bland, well cooked but bland and missing seasoning.
The mushroom sauce was nice but tasted prepackaged.
The staff were friendly.
Considering the number of options around darling harbour I would probably choose somewhere else next time.
I. L.
The pork and beef ribs were not bad but the lamb ribs were rather gamey.
B. M.
I have been to this Hurricane's Grill several times and it is a beautiful spot for a meal with family and friends. I've had a short wait to be seated every time, even though I made reservations. It only got uncomfortable when were were many other people squashed in the entryway waiting to be seated as well. Service is a bit hit or miss. I prefer seating outside as the music can be really loud inside, making conversation difficult. The food is always fantastic and there is a great selection of drinks. This makes it very easy to overlook all the other points and I will definitely return to dine again.
A. A. M.
If you like ribs, go for it. You'll love it 🤤
H. P.
I had a great great time with my friends last night thanks to Jojo! She welcomed us to be seated, very friendly and professional. Their ribs were fantastic and the view was breathtaking. I will defo go back soon 💜
A. H.
nice food and nice service
S.
Ribs were great but steak was abit undercooked
J. T.
The portion of the meal is big enough and its price is worthy for its food quality. Dined in with a group of 5, ordered appetizer salted calamari, buffalo wings, one set of full pork ribs, steak and fish and chips. Greatly enjoyed ourselves with the lovely view of Darling Harbour. All in all, a good dining experience as a group
D. M.
A++ for the food and the service.
My partner and I were visiting the city for a weekend. We had originally taken a table at a restaurant across the harbour, however after being ignored for over 20 minutes we decided to go elsewhere.
Arrived at Hurricanes, hungry and annoyed, the host at the front accommodated us right away. Waitress was over promptly and took meal and drink orders. We didn't need to flag a server over once, we were very well taken care of, in a friendly and helpful manner.
The food was absolutely superb! We both had steak, booked a perfect medium rare/rare. My partner had the Wagyu which was heaven! Kudos to the chef/s. Given what we pay for a mediocre steak in our area we were very happy and felt the price was very reasonable!
Would definitely eat again! Thank you!
R.
I have been going to this place for about a decade, but would have to agree with the more recent average and poor reviews of the food. I went here on a Saturday night and had a fillet of tenderloin steak with sweet potato chips.
I ordered the steak medium rare, but it was still dry, unbasted and tasteless. Frankly, a steak bought from Woolies would be more flavoursome. The peri peri sauce on the side was simply spicy, with no flavour to it whatsoever, either. The sweet potato chips were ok, but you can't really mess those up.
I am surprised that the food was so average, given that this place was great for meats in the past. Perhaps they've changed cooks? Or their suppliers?
B. L.
Great tasting ribs but served lukewarm and some bits were overcooked that made them tough and dry.
H. A.
5 star for food - 3 star for service.
We went there on Friday night and had to wait almost an hour to get seated, though the reception said 20 minutes. The worst part was that we had to check every 10 minute and remind them.
The food was good and made the wait worthy. We had different steaks and ribs. I personally liked lamb ribs - tender and juicy!

You can discribe your self about this picture i took..

Come here for the ribs... baby back ribs.. oh and the Ohayo cocktail. Love the lychee and elderflower!
M. K.
Hurricanes Grill at darling harbour is fantastic!! Although it’s very busy there, (we always book online and don’t need to wait long though) don’t be put off because the service and food is FANTASTIC! My husband loves his meat and this place is always a winner when we go. They also have options that suit my love of “salads” and a wide variety for our kids too!
B. J.
Taste good but the ribs quality its not as good as before. also be aware if you bring a cake to the premises. there is xtra charge $3/person.
T. Y.
Ribs were amazing. Juicy, tender. Yum. Great view of Darling Harbour. Recommend
A. p.
Everyone raves on about their pork ribs, yet the beef ribs are the true speciality others cannot recreate to the same standard. I've had ribs at hundreds of places and I would safely rank hurricanes as the top 3 I've had in the world. Best I've had in Australia. If you want a table Thursday -Saturday night, remember to book at least 1 day earlier or you may be disappointed. If you want a harbour view book 2-3 days in advance to beat the indecisive to the best tables. This venue boasts nice bar service at decent prices. Unfortunately the waiting staff have mucked up my order at least a dozen times out of the two dozen I've been here over the last year. I would happily rate this 5/5 if they improved the quality of their waiters or made it up to me for all the times I received the wrong sides, drink or even main course on a few occasions. Will go back soon and re-review to see if this has been rectified by management. For the prices I paid I expected better service overall.
M. L.
We ordered a full rack of pork ribs, it was NOT the best. The ribs was dry and overcooked. It's burnt on certain spots. The sauce was good. Overall it wasn't great. We also ordered the dry aged sirloin on the bone medium rare. The steak was undercooked especially around the bone, with a lot of chewy tendons. The baked potatoes and sweet potato fries were the best out of our meal
C. W.
It is the best place in Sydney for ribs and burgers! Service was quick and 3 of our party had the full rack of ribs....wow! It was huge. The kids rack of ribs was also generous and so was the kids mac n cheese. The burger was amazing and the sweet potato fries were lovely and crispy! Definitely recommend a visit here!
L. R.
I have been here twice while in Sydney. Its always quite busy and you'll probably have to make a reservation or expect around an hour of waiting. They'll record your name and you can come back at the time of the reservation. Their Pork ribs are simply the best!! I would highly recommend it. Also they have a meat platter which includes pork ribs, beef sausages and some sides which is good to share between 2
K. C.
Impressive huge pork ribs! Really tasty! Recommend a visit here!
U. L.
Amazing Ribs. Got the best deals a rack for 30 bucks. Best Ribs money can buy. Two can share it easily.
N. S.
Ate here with my partner for his birthday, they sang him happy birthday despite me not telling prior hand of the night. Downside is the place is pretty busy and even thought we made a booking we still had to wait, the wait wasn't long it was under 10minutes. Food was okay, I ordered a chicken burger with the truffle fries and my partner got the lamb ribs, the ribs were much better than what I had. With both was accompanied with chips, the i had regular chips but wasnt cooked well, looked like it came out of home kitchen to be honest. My partner got sweet potato chips and it looked much better than mine. Staff was attentive despite it being busy and they always checked up on us. The place had a wide variety of dishes and drinks from pizzas, burgers, steaks, ribs and pasta.
M. C.
A famous place at Darling Harbour especially for tourists.
The pork ribs used to be extremely juicy and tasty.
However, maybe due to the quantities of visitors, nowadays, the pork ribs can be a hit or miss.
There has been a few times when i visited where the pork ribs were very dry.
R. G.
Just had my first time experience at Hurricane and I was blown away. The service from our waitress Amanda from start to the end was just exceptional! She recommended the beef ribs to me and when I had them, I couldn’t be happier. My friends and I really loved our experience and will be looking forward to come again. Thank you!
B. T. H.
Thanks very much for us having a great dinner here. The foods are much delicious, tasty. We order a lot but still great price despite the nice view and convenient position. Although the staff drops things on my sweater but not problem, just accident and she was still a good staff. We're extremely happy and pleasured, will come back soon and recommend our friends to come here regularly.
E. T.
Delicious ribs. Amazing, professional, kind staff. Great location. Perfect for families. Affordable and reasonable pricing.
B. W.
Went here for my 19th birthday celebration and from as soon as we arrived the service was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxed and felt very welcoming. We were very pleased with our food and the view at night from the window was a massive highlight. Will certainly return in the future.
H.
Pretty pricey for a grill and the staffs werent to friendly but food was great
s. j.
The staff here was extremely friendly. The pork ribs was very delicious and the portion was massive. The service was average but I understand because it was due to the crowd that was queuing to eat here. Line was very long so i reserved a table a week before i came. The place looks really nice and it is nice for a family gathering or hangouts with friends! The place is suitable if you are finding a place to eat before watching the fireworks in darling harbor.
M. M.
Even though it's expensive, but it's very worth it. Delicious food and big portion! Will always be back whenever I'm in Sydney.
M. R.
The best ribs ever. They make delicious food. The service was fast and efficient. We ordered one Full rack for two people but they gave so much that it was hard to finish all. The environment was excellent and view of the Darling Harbor was great as usual. We did enjoy the food, environment and the view very much.
D. K.
Ribs were delicious. I enjoyed the lamb ribs better than the pork ribs and beef ribs but all three varieties were good. The mall it's in is a little dated and every store in there is trying to claim they have big sales going on which one can assume are perpetually ongoing affairs in an attempt to lure in tourists but can't knock the restaurant for that. Staff was helpful and waitresses attentive.
A. J.
Nice location and view. They provide a good service. The flavour of the sauces is amazing, it just the ribs that we had was a bit burn on several parts, and the texture was less tender. Overall still nice.
H. T.
Have been twice recently. First time without a reservation (waited an hour) second time with one (they were telling people who arrived without a reservation it was an hour wait but there were plenty of tables becoming available that stayed that way).
Both visits our bill has been incorrect and we have been overcharged. Both visits we had to wave down staff for assistance. Last night they were standing in the glass hallway behind the flames chat chat chatting away, oblivious to multiple people looking for help.
On our previous visit nobody who's attention we could grab were able to help us as they weren't our server...
Last night our beef ribs arrived cold so we had to send them back. $50? Not sure they're worth it.
Cocktails were nice, tasty and well balanced.
All in all, not really worth the hype nor the price.
P. S.
After all the hype I felt it was kind of overrated.
Sure, the ribs are good, but overpriced. And whatever you do, do not order Steak. Mine was well done even though I ordered medium rare.
The staff however, were excellent. Every few tables seem to have a staff member assigned and it's good to see the same face throughout the course of dinner. Very attentive and helpful staff.
b. s.
Tenderloin fillet grass feed Angus , nice grilled pork ribs
J.
Great service with a smile
Awesome ribs and cold beer

This place is unforgettable. I made a visit 8 years ago and could not forget the ribs that I had that night. Now that I reside in Sydney, I can't help but frequent Hurricane's whenever I can get some company. My favourite are the pork ribs. Juicy and tasty and comes in a half or full rack. There are also beef and lamb ribs for your picking. The bibs provided get you into the mood for some feasting! Also try the mussels and steak. Booking is a must as even booking in will render you waiting at the door. Otherwise, you can also line up at the door on the waiting list. The last time I was there, we waited for 2 hours! But well worth it. Best ribs I've ever had.
V. M.
Food is pretty good, meat tastes amazing. Service was pleasant so far. Layout of restaurant needs some work, the way some tables are positioned can be a bit hard to walk. Would recommend to go to another hurricane grill. Had a small birthday dinner, wasn't so happy with their service that time. They got nothing to offer for the birthday girl even after asking.
Wouldnt recommend going to their restroom as well. Small and messy, don't know how often they maintain it. They only have one available, just walk a bit further down and you ll find another restroom. For such an expensive place, what they offer doesn't match up to it.
M. K.
Great ribs, juicy, tender, falling off the bone. Kids meal (beef burger) was a generous serve but patty was fairly bland. Service was good and prompt, despite the full house. They are strict on the 2-hour session (we booked for 6pm), but that is made very clear on booking so wasn't an issue.
w. x.
Most people go to Hurricanes for the Ribs, and ribs we shall have ! Went there last weekend and we made a booking so was able to secure a very nice balcony seating. The staff was attentive and as a group of 4 we ordered 2 full ribs (pork) to share.
The ribs still taste exactly the same as before (succulent, juicy, tasty). Only it seems a lot smaller than what I remembered ? (or it could be that i have a bigger appetite? ) . Overall the lunch was very satisfying and the ribs are still delicious. I guess the only downside is that the ribs are a lot smaller and there wasn't enough chips, plus the pricing has gone up a bit. Still worthwhile to go once in a while !
G. M.
Great service and food. You get your moneys 💰 worth
B. L.
I haven't been to this Hurricane's before, but I have been to Hurricane's Brighton-Le-Sands a few times, and every visit the ribs have been on point. Here they were no different.
Extremely tender, which some establishments have trouble keeping consistent, and the perfect amount of sauce – not so much they're swimming in it and it drips everywhere, but just right for the perfect amount of flavour.
And the main reason for the review, the server, Kate, was excellent. She was polite and patient, followed up on drinks that hadn't arrived (without us asking), made sure we had everything, checked to see if everything was good, if we needed anything else, and without us asking tied everyone's bibs (I've never had that before and it was very helpful and appreciated). Thanks for the awesome service, Kate!
d. r.
I love this place. The ribs with amazing night view
But my size of full wreck was smaller than usual on saturday night and i understand that waitresses are busy..
they brought me a jug of drink i ordered with out a glass for me to drink from.. i asked for the glasses for the drink but she never got back to me. so i poured out my water and used my glass for drinking water.
I usually love this place although you have to wait a while to be seated and they have friendly staffs.
Hope my next visit will be better :)

Took my extended family here for a big dinner here last night, everyone couldn't be happier. Food and drinks were excellent as expected, and service was on point. The manager Gordon really looked after us, thank you for a great night!
S. H.
We were a group of 7 celebrating a birthday. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, but the standout was the staff. What a great crew. They checked with me that it was really a birthday, and said they'd sort something out. I said it would have to be very loud because birthday boy is loud. The result was fantastic! Three girls, encouraging everyone to sing and cheer. Thank you so much for making it a special night. You're all stars.
S. A.
Came several times to enjoy a meal. The position is perfect, The view on darling harbour is just amazing. The food is really well made as you expect in a fine dining with a massive selection of meat dishes including grass fed beef just perfect for keto friendly option.
I have found, though, the service to be a bit slow. Wait to seat, wait to order and the wine served after the meal.
H. L.
4 stars for the medium rare New York steak :) mushroom sauce was a tad on the creamy side though
B. l.
Lamb ribs. Yes I know this place is more famous for its pork ribs but you can choose to be a lemming or go out on a limb. You're welcome.
H. J. B. (.
The location is great, you can see over the harbour. However, the famous ribs were not what we expected. The seasoning of the food was good and all but it was definitely not worthy of the price as half of the ribs we were scraping for some piece of meat. Overall, the atmosphere was nice but wasnt enough to compensate for lack of meat on the ribs.
s.
Very busy on a Wednesday night, being an iconic place in Darling Harbour, this establishment attract tonnes of tourists. make sure to book or the wait can be over an hour. Ordered 3 salads and 5 racks of ribs for 10 pax and it's more than sufficient. Caprese salad albeit delicious but portion is a joke for the price. Ribs are most delicious, the best being pork and lamb.
Our waiter Thomas is from France and very helpful and approachable. NO FREE parking with spending though.
C. S.
I've been there a few weeks ago, the staff were nice. At first I was scared that the food would be small but not at all and really yummy!
D. d. g.
Great food. The pork ribs where fantastic.
The service was second to none.
I informed our waitress it was my girlfriends birthday party, our waitress obliged our dinner party with a small birthday cake and sparkler for my girlfriend, our waitress stood there and sung happy birthday with our dinner party
Thank you hurricane darling harbour.
I. K.
Went to Hurricane in Darling Harbour for family dinner on Wed night.
Great service, good location, but very average food. For the price they charge I would expect more.
I ordered lamb and beef ribs, lamb was really nice cooked, beef was really dry.
Ordered lamb cutlets, 2 were well cooked, 4 were really tough.
Also, it's very noisy in the main area, ask for table on the balcony.
J. B.
I had my dining experience today for lunch time with my partner and his sister's family. We ordered the kid's menu for the kids, family size ribs combo and prawn dish in the sharing menu. Over all experience is neutral, I expected to pay a lot for a good quality food and reasonable quantity but it didn't really turn that way.
kid's huge burger with heaps of chips looks really great but the kid's mac and cheese is just not enough and not appealing. We got the prawns first in the menu it says for share... 6pcs tasty prawns, great taste but not so great quantity. Then the family size rubs combo came, it is amazing! 3 different half rack of rib size are good enough to feed 3-5 adults. It is nicely cooked and the taste wise, but I think some of the chips that is inlcuded was mistakenly placed on the kids burger and maybe a little bit of salad would make it looks better.
The place was a bit dark for a day time dining and it's a casual restaurant so I do not recommend this place if you want a quiet place to eat.
Lastly, the staff are great very attentive and the service is awesome.
M. C.
Usually come here for the pork ribs, however they were disappointing this time. Luckily we also ordered beef ribs, which were surprisingly great.
We had a large group and ordered mostly ribs with sweet potato fries and spuds, however, they all came out with normal fries.. :(
W. K.
It was a “hurricane” in that there was a ton of people of people waiting to eat at this restaurant which was next to Darling Harbour. The BBQ Ribs that they were famous for was not that good in that it was a little bland and char…I had better in California and at a cheaper price. I was expecting something of a higher quality, but nothing surprising.
The server was nice and attentive at times, but I find it weird that she asked us if we want bread and butter when it complimentary of the restaurant…thought they would just bring it.
Nice to try out and come since I know people rave about this place and perfect to see the firework after dinner, which was beautiful!
J. B.
Great food, great service & great view. We had the full ribs and the rib and chicken combo, everything was cooked perfectly, best ribs i've had! Only waited 20 minutes for our food and our waiter was lovely! Dessert was also delicious but the ribs were the main attraction of course. Pricing is standard for ribs so all in all it was a great experience and we will be returning
L. A.
The best pork ribs in AU...or maybe even in the world!
O. X.
Excellent ribs! The view was great and we had a good look at the light show that happened to be on that night as well. Some of the group ordered steak as well, which they said tasted very nice! 1kg of ribs was really fulfilling! We ended the night by walking along the bank after our meal.
D.
We dined her on New years Eve prior to the 9pm fireworks and it was delicious.
The service from , the hostesses , to the wait staff and General management was awesome.
The entrees , Cheesy Garlic bread and garlic Prawns was a hit as was the ribs platter , baked potatoes and coleslaw.
Creme Brulee was on par with the best that we had ever eaten.
The waffles too were out of this world.
T. L.
Absolutely fabulous experience. Stunning food. This will be the first restaurant I will visit when it reopen after the lockdown. I missed their ribs. All 3 types - Beef, Pork and Lamb. Can't wait.
M. H.
Prob the best hurricanes to dine in, in comparison to other hurricanes.
The ribs here were actually nicer than the others hurricanes I have visited. Maybe it's a coincidence. Food was very nice.
Also the view is a bonus!
H. G.
The lamb ribs were amazing! Very juicy and tender, great flavour and generous portions. Not the cheapest place to dine, but you get a a great meal, atmosphere and harbourside views.
P. Q.
I always enjoy the ribs here. Service was good, food arrived quickly, we were seated quickly even without a reservation for lunch.
I'd recommend sharing a full rack of pork ribs with another person - that way you can actually enjoy the sides!
S. h.
Visit this place 8 jan 7.30 pm. Unfortunately my pork ribs dry and cold.
Lamb ribs juicy & delicious tho
The lady in front desk was too busy talking to her friend/other staff n ignoor us.
C. N.
Pork ribs were fantastic! However was sullied by the service. The hostess at the front was extremely rude and even sarcastic. Our waitress had forgotten one of our meals as well.
Lucky the food was plentiful and yum.
F. A.
Excellent food. Wonderful place
I. Y.
When I told my friends that I was going to Sydney for a quick trip, they all told me to go to Hurricane's. I just had to check what the fuss is all about. They told me their serve mean ribs.
The setting is quite standard. The same feeling when you come to Tony Roma's or other similar places. Their servings are quite big. And when I say big, I mean BIG! We ended up ordering two full racks to be shared for three people. What I like about this joint is that they have varieties of sauces that we can dip our ribs into. This is definitely different from ribs joint in US, where mostly it's only serve with BBQ sauce.
All in all I think it was a good meal, but coming from US and having constantly exposed to southern BBQ, I can't say this is the best ribs I've ever had. If you're in Sydney area, especially Darling Harbour, it's definitely worth checking out.
T. S.
I ordered pork rib full rack. The food was delicious but not enough for korean taste.
It doesn't mean the food was not tasty. Just it is little bit lack of satisfying Koreans taste. Korean has clumsy taste i know.
I think smoked rib in spicy sauce is better for korean.
I recommend half rack of pork rib. If you're pork rib lover, you'd better try full rack one.
As side sweet potato fries was so yammy.
It is getting better and getting colder.
My seat was in balcony. I could enjoy beautiful view in darling harbourside.
S.
Booked a table of approximately 14 for a friends birthday dinner at Hurricanes Darling harbour. The food was average and over priced , not worth it. I could get better food for the same price elsewhere. Furthermore, there was major confusion with the bill at the end of our meal. And we ended up over paying for our meal and then getting refunded back for it. So overall it was just a hassle
C. M.
Been here 3 times now and enjoyed every time, they have a big balcony that had great views. The food is great, definitely get the ribs and good value for the money. Staff are always great and very attentive as well. The chicken caesar and clams were really good too.
K. A.
If only the ribs here taste as good as they smell. Having walked past this place every day on my way home from work and smelling that irresistible smell of BBQ ribs I finally gave in and took my husband there. We had a reservation but were still made to wait and then because they were so busy service was slow and non-existent when you wanted to order extra things like another drink.
The ribs were ok, I wouldn't rave about them and I don't think I'd go back there again for them.
ع. ا.
Went for lunch twice so perhaps the place might not have been as busy as it'd be at night. Service is very quick we didn't have to wait for long to get our table (didn't have a reservation beforehand). Waiters approached us immediately with water and the menu. Our order arrived relatively quickly and the burgers tasted as good as they should've been.
J. L.
Fair price, very nice view. Starters, pork rib and drinks were great. Steak was a bit disappointing, ordered a medium rare steak but served medium well. Service wasnt friendly.
G.
Excellent food quality and terrific service Dianna gave us great service. I wish they were on the Gold Coast , ribs, snapper, lamb chops and T bone steak all perfectly cooked and top quality 👍🏽 everyone at our table were pleased.
R. F.
Good, quick service. Very enjoyable meal
O. T.
Pretty good steak house. The Lamb Ribs are definitely worth trying. Not too impressed with entrees and sides but steaks and ribs are good. They get very busy so service can be slow at times. Expect around $100 per person.
J. W.
Good rib, average steak and salad.
J. H.
These guys set the benchmark for ribs and steaks. Other things on the menu as well but I go for the above. Prices are not cheap but are fair for Australia. Can get very busy at weekends but ok during the week. Make a booking if intending to visit at weekends. Staff are from around the world so are interesting to talk to while serving. Walk around Darling to burn the calories after eating!
E. K.
We made a reservation as we went there for a work lunch. However we still had to wait when we got there. We were given a table at the balcony and being a colder day than usual, it was freezing. They had the heaters running but they weren't very effective. I ordered the combo ribs and steak and the food was good. Food's a little on the pricey side but the portion sizes are quite large too.

Had a great dinner with my husband at hurricane's grill. The food was good. Service from the waitress was very professional and friendly. The only negative feedback I have for this resturant is the host. The guy that greeted us and show us to the table that night. His service was really terrible. Both my husband and i felt insulted from the way he presented himself. Unproffesional. My husband requested for a window seat, however he did not managed to catch what the host had said that the tables near the windows are reserved. The manner in which he questioned my husband for not hearing his earlier statement was unacceptable. He responded in a mocking manner with a smirk on his face.

Amazing food and good customer service.
Nice place for dating!

Great place to enjoy ribs and steak. I'm a huge fan of their pork ribs. Great atmosphere, great service and the food is amazing. Been to the Top Ryde as well as the Darling Harbour joints and would definitely recommend both! However, the prices are quite high so be prepared to spend quite a bit
T. T.
This place is very busy! make sure you book this place 24 hours in advance to get a seat, especially during dinner! The pork ribs (full rack)are to die for! sauce is thick and flavoursome. Little bit disappointed with their price increase recently ($50) but its well worth it. The atmosphere is great and the service is good. Def recommend this place.
T. D.
I went to Hurricanes last weekend for a friends birthday. Immediately after I sat down a waitress asked for my drink order which was brought out just as fast. The reccomendation of the Pork Ribs was spot on! Food was beautiful. Very attentive and friendly staff.
Highly recommend Hurricanes Darling Harbour!
J. S.
Ribs here are pretty awesome, although it's not altogether always consistent. Sometimes the ribs are a little bit dry and need more sauce. Prefer the location of this Hurricanes to the one at Bondi Beach because parking is easier (and cheaper!) and the restaurant itself is more spacious.
A. S.
Decent venue located in the harhourside shopping centre. Offers a number of grilled meats which are usually basted. Pork ribs are recommended. Some seats have a view of darling harbour. Service was ok
A. I.
Fantastic food, great service. Excellent customer service in particular Jo Jo the restaurant manager She understood our situation and was very accommodating. Keep up the great work Jo Jo!!
J. W.
Great place for ribs and steak. I'm a huge fan of their pork ribs. Great atmosphere, great service and the food is amazing. Been to bondi one as well as the Darling Harbour joints and would definitely recommend both! However, the prices are quite high so be prepared to spend quite a bit but the ribs....
G. L.
The chefs don’t know how to cook a medium rare steak and when you confront them they bring out their manager and he speaks to you in such rude manners as if he’s paying for your meal.
Nice view and good cocktails, staff are okay but they need more training on customer service and their menu
S. M.
Pricey but still a nice venue. I ordered a medium rare steak but it came rare BLUE. They literally just put it back on the grill and gave me back my steak. Weird
K. S.
My go to place for bbq ribs in Sydney,
So tasty and tender. You will not disappointed 🍖😋 yummm
A. P.
One again the Pork Ribs were sensational!!! Staff were fantastic!! With a thank you and hand shake as I left... it’s a great feeling to know they appreciate your business... looking forward to going back!!
D. W.
Nice location, service was slow, steak was still mooing on the plate -ordered medium rare.
Owner came to table, and refunded the steak, but was arrogant towards myself and friends whom steaks were also mooing, one still running around the plate-also ment to be medium rare
N. D.
Had a good moment with friends, food and drinks are awesome
N. Z.
Great beef and lamb ribs with sweet potato fries, sides of green salad and rice with rosemary. Fantastic evening views of Darling Harbour close to Pyrmont Bridge. Nice meal with visiting friends from overseas.
L. P.
Catered extremely well to a large group of ravenous and carnivorous females (we booked ahead), staff were very attentive to our needs. My dinner of a full rack of ribs and chips was completely worth the price and recalling that meal makes me salivate. Can't wait for my next visit.
K. G.
For those not enjoying the ribs and steak, the veggie burger is an adequate option but nothing you would seek out by choice.
Patty is rather lifeless, but fortunately comes with a nice serving of grilled vegetables, mushroom and haloumi. Servings are very large, and the side of sweet potato chips are a great option (these were quite good, soft in the middle with a solid crunch - not too oily).
Entree mixed salad is ridiculously large, and could almost serve as a meal and can definitely be shared. Garlic mushrooms will have you more feared than Buffy, but as tasty as they are buttery.
Coffee is surprisingly decent for this type of establishment. Service was excellent.
Note: Original veggie patty was quite burnt but quickly rectified with a fresh burger and very apologetic staff. If it is dry, don't hesitate to send it back as the second round was much better.
H. M.
Massive portions if you do the full rack of ribs - beef but dry, and hard to finish when cold. Pretty friendly service, cocktails selection wide but overall you’re paying for it being in Darling harbour and convenient from the ferry.
W. T.
Highly recommend ordering any of the ribs. Taste amazing with its delicious sauce. Service is great. Unfortunately it's always very busy with long waiting time and there's no bathrooms inside the restaurant. Booking is available, recommend to book by phone. I have experienced booking online but it didn't get logged properly.
M. N. H.
Been there few times.Everything is good and i am happy.
H. O. C.
Been to Hurricanes a few times since I moved to Sydney. Really good service and great atmosphere. Be prepared to wait for a few minutes if you've got no reservation, but things are usually really quick once the service starts. You can always wait at the bar and have some of the elaborate drinks or a bottle of beer. All sides are of a good portion and could easily go as a main. The ribs are a must to have and my favourites are the pork ribs. Whenever I have friends visiting Sydney I try to take them to Hurricanes and they always love it. Also a great place for birthdays.
R. H.
Always in love with Hurricane's Grill no matter where the location is. Great food, fantastic ribs selection and they also have nice selection of steaks and other foods like chicken or seafoods. However, this particular place, you may need to queue for about 2-3 hours almost every day due to the massive tourists around
A.
Pork ribs are always great here.
Steaks are decent as well.
Services has always been good.
Difficult to get a seat unless you make a reservation or go when it first opens.
J. J.
It’s a good place to visit when you are travelling in Sydney.
L. T.
Delicious grilled food! The meat was cook nicely and the BBQ sauce was tasty... Of the different meat ribs (beef, pork or lamb) available, i would prefer the lamb ribs!
We went late on a week night (abt 830pm on a Thurs night) so there was no queue and we walk straight in to a table... Pls make a reservations on the weekends or be prepared to wait in the queues!
T. N.
There is a 10% surcharge on Sundays, but the ribs are worth it.
Try them all, the pork, beef and lamb. The lamb was very oily.
The salad was nice but have a full rack and salad is enough.
Best to come on a Saturday night when the fireworks come on at 8.30PM.
N. T.
The signature ribs and fried sweet potatoes are really good
j. w.
crispy sweet sweetpotato chips, grilled sauced tender lambribs, fine view!
L. G.
Great ribs just wish they slow cooked them and left a bit of fat on the beef ribs. Sause for them is amazing. The staff have all ways been friendly. This place does get busy so book well in advance.
T. V.
This is my favourite Steak place, I'm not even from Sydney.
The ribs and steak here are amazing.
The only problem is you can't book a table and you always have to wait for long periods of time.
Don't expect to come and dine immediately.
H.
Beautiful view of the bridge and harbor. Small but nice patio. Love the food and decor. The server was very nice and gave some amazing tips for places to visit and how to get around. If you happen to be at the darling harbor take the ferry to Luna park or other harbors. It's worth a trip and not expensive. The right way to explore Sydney and surrounding area
M. J.
Good service&taste, Nice view, very crowded
S. Y.
Best ribs restaurant in Sydney. Pork and Lamb ribs are especially yummy, don't waste your time on anything else. Came on a Sat night, and they were packed. Come before 6pm if you want to get a table.
K. O.
An institution famous for their succulent ribs and steak they also recently launch a new menu with some new Louisiana wings, pork knucle and seafood platter which is great to share. The quality of the seafood is good which is a great addition to their extensive ribs and steak menu 😋😋
X.
The view from the balcony was great!! I enjoyed the food so much!!
G. F.
Had a group booking for 20 people for a friend’s birthday. Great and fast service, awesome food & cocktails. We enjoyed the fireworks from our balcony table too! Highly recommended!
d. l.
I ever had dinner at hurricane circular quay and the service are extremely proffesional
I really had a great time with my family
I really recommended this restaurant
E. P.
Food is great. Ceasar salad was delicious. service is good. Music is a little bit too loud but that is just my personal opinion , for some people it might be okay.
P. T.
5 June 2016- Went there for lunch with my partner. The guy who greeted us was very accomodating and the Italian waitress was delightful. The food is consistently good at this place and it was on that day too. The only thing they could improve is the toilets that looked a little messy.
N. A.
The lamb and beef ribs are super amazing.
The service and atmosphere were one of the best. I highly recommend this restaurant.
S. T. B.
Variety of barbecue. Good place for group of friends.
S. T.
Have heard about the Hurricane long before I came to Sydney. It never disappoint me. The pork ribs was superb, the portion is really huge and it's good for sharing! Atmosphere was good and service was very good too.
E. H.
Good food, very filling, relatively large menu.
We made a reservation for 12 people, but ended up having to wait 1.5 hours for a table due to some confusion. The staff redeemed themselves though, and we each received a free loaf of garlic bread from the kitchen.
M. N.
Coming here for birthday dinners about once per year I don't know why but the Lamb ribs here are not up to the same standard as the Bondi Hurricanes. The view of Darling Harbour is nice especially on a Saturday evening during the fireworks. Service is fast and friendly but be prepared to wait even with a booking.
S. D.
There's a lot of hype around this place and it's with good reason. I'd definitely recommend booking in advanced to avoid a sizeable queue. As you'd expect, they were able to cater for a group of twelve fairly comfortably.
The selection was quite diverse - we were all quite curious about the Monkey Gland - and they had some solid vegetarian options as well. We all agreed that the meats were quite succulen and enjoyed the dining experiencet. I ordered a well done steak which unlike a lot of other places was not burnt and still retained its flavours. As someone who wasn't from Sydney, I had been told to check out Hurricane's and for me, it was definitely worthwhile.
M.
Amazing food, never disappointing. Excellent service and friendly staff. I highly recommend this place...My go to restaurants for amazing ribs and steaks.
J. M.
Delicious barbecue ribs with very reasonable price. Great service and nice water view too
R. B.
Awesome food and great service by Gurav!
Andrew is amazing!!! does everything from seat you to making sure you are happy with your meal and service! Very patient and friendly man!
I highly recommend dining here!!
S. I.
Really great food and awsome staff. Thank you for the nice happy birthday Song :-)
S. M.
Absolutely brilliant!! I had a T-bone steak rare (which is hard to get here in Sydney) but it was cooked perfectly!! The bar staff were very attentive and even made an irish coffee with Baileys which wasn't on the menu. A must to visit in Sydney!!!
R. U.
Been a couple of times here, Brighton and Bondi and its always been OK. Bondi is the standout for sure. Last time was Valentine's Day and still got in without book (2 pax). I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Had the Steak. It was cooked well though you come to expect that. Ribs and the combo's are the go. Service was great this time but it's off and on I've found. The value for the price however is no great. Good view of Darling Harbour if you are outside so it's perfect for tourists. Not my first choice but I'll probably be back.
A. K.
Went for a nice dinner with my girlfriend. When we sat down straight away a lovely worker called JoJo came up to me and said "don't order yet, I promise you I will give you a table outside with a view of darling harbour". Sure enough 5 minutes later she came up and grabbed us to sit us outside. It was amazing how she went above and beyond to make our night even more special.
M. K.
Pork ribs were a bit dry, beef ribs were divine, scallops and squid were just great. I had my birthday lunch today with a bit of drinks.
Staff were friendly and efficient.
S. H. Z.
Excellent restaurant in the heart of Sydney's Darling Harbour. Fantastic food and beverage and friendly staff!
Always going to be one of the few places that pop up in my mind as to where to hang out with friends and family. The restaurant is usually packed for dinner due to its popularity, so guys, be prepared to wait in the queue at the entrance :)
C. C.
Recommend the pork ribs but service is rather lacking
T. T.
Great customer service and perfectly cooked ribs, generously basted in Hurricane's secret BBQ sauce.
Prior bookings are a must, at least a week in advance. I've never had ribs at any other restaurant that compares to Hurricane's!
N. L.
The best thing about this restaurant is the view of darling harbour, the staff here are very pleasant, nothing ever to much bother, joined my family friends here for Australia Day, I couldn't think of a better way of spending it.
I had the pleasure of watching the dragon boat races from here, after a long but enjoyable walk around one of the most beautiful cities in the world, what a way to finish it with a strawberry pillow
J. M.
The most amazing ribs in town! Without a reservation for two we waited only 30mins for a table. Had a relaxing time at the bar, followed by an absolutely amazing meal with a Harbour view! Highly recommended!
L. T.
The place to come for a good bbq pork ribs. That's the only reason you will line up an hour for it, and it's worth the wait. Reservation is highly recommended. The portions are huge, so I usually share a full rack with another person.
z. z.
Much better than i expected. The ribs are all great no matter pork or lamb or beef. Steak is great too. Would love to eat agai jf not for the price
C. C.
You must have this seafood platter
B. M.
This restaurant provided a great experience for me and my group. The food was of excellent quality and the portion sizes were great, even those with vast appetites struggled to finish. Prices are reasonable considering this size and quality and service was also good. The location is great, right by Darling harbour with outdoor seating available.
S. G.
I ordered the pork ribs and garlic bread and it was amazing! Although the food may seem a little dear at first for the amount of service and food you get it was worth the money. The ribs are definitely a must!
T. T.
This is one of the most recommended restaurant in Darling Harbour. It started as a small shop in Bondi and expanded to one of the most busy restaurant in Darling Harbour. Everyone must try the full racks of pork ribs!!!! I brought guests and friends from overseas... 100% loves it!!! If you are travelling to Sydney, drop by to this restaurant.... my tip is to book ahead or you wait at least 1.5 hours to get a table.
A. T.
Very busy, Ribs were amazing, the kids think it's fun.
Wasn't too expensive, had to wait in the line for half an hour, but they told us it was going to be a long wait.
You sort of have to expect a line there.
In a good location, nice view. Was a good night out.
R. H.
If you're after American style grill and tasty meat, this place is amazing. I'm a bit annoyed at myself for ordering a small steak. I should have got steak, ribs and chicken wings. Next time...
N. L. (.
Pork ribs never ever fail here.
The char grilled salad is excellent. The only criticism are the tomatoes. They are lifeless and bland.Such a pity!
OP rib eye is excellent and a worthy choice.
3rd time here and always stick to the rib theme
C. C. Y.
I had lamb ribs and pork ribs just few days back with 4 other friends, visiting from Melbourne. We all love the lamb ribs, pork ribs was so so. Highly recommend their lamb ribs for first time visit. Ample space available, able to see darling harbour from the outside seat. Decoration was not too bad. Service was pretty quick initially, in terms of getting order and bringing food, but we waited almost 20 minutes to get our bills. Therefore missed the best view of saturday night fireworks. So if you want to catch the fireworks at darling harbour, go early!
A. Z.
Delicious ribs and staff very helpful
V. N.
Had the full rack of assorted ribs and it was amazing. Great service and what a view of the harbour from the restaurant. You must visit this place. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
K.
Always busy here so be prepared to wait..or book ahead! Ribs can be hit and miss. Sometimes very good, other time not so good...can be burnt at times. Last time I came here we sat on the balcony and there were two huge rats running around..we were trying to enjoy our dessert while praying the rats did not run under our table/over our feet/on the railing next to us. Eeek.
J. H.
The ribs were good but not great, it had a 'porky' or gamey taste masqueraded by a barbecue sauce that was too sweet. Given the abundance of great pub ribs available in Sydney, I would not recommend this highly hyped place.
H. C.
Hurricane's is pretty much known for one thing, and one thing only...ribs.
If you come here and don't get the ribs (PORK,) you should shame yourself with a sign on the side of the road saying "I failed at Hurricane's." Not getting ribs here is akin to a bunch of vegetarians going to a BBQ restaurant and asking for vegetarian options. Epic fail.
Why wait 20-60 minutes (yes the queue is massive) for a restaurant if you won't get their speciality? Especially if the rest of their food is mediocre...
Did I mention that you should get the ribs? If you don't and order anything else you will probably have a bad time, as the rest of their food isn't worth the long wait...including the steak.
GET THE RIBS
J. K.
Love this restaurant, great place to catch up with friends. The grill ribs was well cooked and service was good. Highly recommended.
N. P.
I’m writing this review while I’m sitting at the restaurant.
Food no doubt it’s good.
But service on the other hand is extremely poor. I realise is a bit late when we came in and got told we had 1 hour to eat. So okay that’s fine we are fast eaters. Sat down for another 15 min before we could grab the waitress attention to place an order. We asked for water. Then cocktail came. No water. Food came still no water. Asked for water. Someone came to offer us bibs. Came back they apologised no more bibs. Okay?? But it’s not an issue really. Still no water though. Then the next table got there food after us were handed bibs. Errrrrr okay doesn’t make sense. It’s kinda weird that they ran out anyways coz they are famous for ribs. But still no water. Ask third time, which I had to stressed that this is the third time. Finally got water.
Bad service for something really simple.
C. M. L.
Great place to take any overseas visitors!
You can either try the full rack of ribs are half and half for variety, with a steak or portugese chicken - your choice!
Bibs are optional, but recommended if you're a messy eater.
It can get quite full, so book ahead or come early.
R. S.
Great customer service at the front desk with many customers lining up trying to get a table and confusion n all...however Yenti was able to manage everyone with no issues! Awesome front line staff and most importantly Yenti smile was always present and on point even though it was so busy and stuff became so hetic. This is what brought me back over and over. Thanks again! and definitely would recommend this restaurant for food also!
