Hilarious experience, we had no idea how interactive this restaurant would be! Right from entering, we were treated horribly and a massive heads up, these girls do not hold back. If you’re sensitive, offended by lewdness and bad language… stay away. Probably best not to bring kids either! The burgers and milkshakes were on the average scale for me but they’re definitely not bad. If you’re a fan of banter, I recommend bringing a group of friends here for some laughs. Be prepared to get cussed out if you don’t tip haha.

A fun experience and worth checking out. Most staff were pretty funny and enjoyed the jokes and banter (others were just apathetic and didn’t really do/say much) but the short games were a nice touch. There was a stuff up with our order and I think our burgers were forgotten or went to the wrong table - we had to wait around 10 minutes for each of our table’s burgers to arrive so it was cold by the time we ate it. Would be good if they could serve all at once. Portions are decent sized and the cocktails were nice. Happy to try it once but I’m not sure if I’ll come back.

My new favourite restaurant in Sydney and the first restaurant I have visited and said "I would go back into hospitality if it was here." 🍔🍟🍔⁣ ⁣ Karen’s Diner is an exceptional place with a big gimmick around the name, Karen. All the staff are named after the "can I see the manager?" person - all the waitstaff are permanently rude to you. It is the first time a waiter has called me the C-Bomb and a Pr**k and I couldn't stop laughing.⁣ ⁣ From the brave minds at Wonderland Bar & Beyond Cinema comes a diner like no other - expect turbulent service, singing waiters, and regular guest appearances from the manager - the biggest Karen of them all! Whatever you do, don't ask for a refund!⁣ I did complain that the thickshake was a milkshake but they thought I was playing along so good luck if something is wrong with your meal haha ⁣ It is located in the old Burger Project at World Square and while it may seem like a gimmick the food is brilliant - we absolutely loved it all.⁣ ⁣ The only downside that two people have mentioned to me - would I want to go back for more abuse? To eat those burgers and the loaded fries then yes! But it's not a place you would regular so to say. They did stop the swearing when a family arrived and the kids got into abusing the waitstaff as did we. Haha⁣ ⁣ Food 10/10 👍⁣ Service Sh*t 0/10 👎⁣ Concept 10/10 👍⁣ ⁣ My fave line from the night "If that isn't removed when I come back I'm going to eat you and based on the looks of you it's going to be a satisfying meal." Hahaha, f**kers!!⁣

A fun place to check out and I’m glad I’ve been but it was a bit underwhelming. Only 2 people were putting on the ‘Karen’ act then the others either not at all or barely. The burgers were nice and the shooters on the menu were a cool addition.

TL;DR: Great food, hilarious wait staff who never break character, and special shows put on that get customers involved. Shoutouts to Mel for being an awful* (*amazing) waitress. Give this place a try asap! When we first heard about this place, my friends and I were super excited to experience it. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted rudely by a waiter, who asked if we had a booking, to which he rolled his eyes when we said no. As we were guided to our table, our menus were just thrown down, and we were told to hurry up as he left. We knew we were in for a great night after that. The entire rest of the night was spent bantering with the wait staff and we were treated to a show of the Wheel of Doom (I forget its real name) with a hilarious host. I would also like to give a special mention to Mel - she was our main waitress and was absolutely amazing from start to finish. At one point, I clicked my fingers at her to get her attention (which, out of character, I felt absolutely awful doing), and she flipped me off! I seriously must recommend this restaurant to everyone. None of our group could stop smiling all night. The staff were hilarious, the food was really good, and we got exactly what we signed up for. We will absolutely be back. 🍔🍗

We took our kids (10 and 12) to Karen’s Diner for dinner and they LOVED it. The staff were hilarious, and while there was a little colourful language, it was done very well. Highly recommend for a funny night out. Food was great, they do an awesome vegan GF burger!

Love the idea! The waiters really do a good job keeping the customers entertained with games throughout the night. Wish there were little prizes or something for participating. The burgers are great with a good selection. The only complaints were my drink was spilt when giving it to me, I didn’t really care too much. But when the staff added a higher tip to my bill than I agreed to, it soon became extremely awkward trying to tell her to remove it and getting ignored and told to pay it. Noting she wasn’t even our waiter. I hope this get passed on because it’s such a great concept and you guys are doing an amazing job! I just don’t want people ending on a negative experience.

I'M WRITING A LETTER TO THE MANAGER! About how epic this was! Karen's Diner is an immersive experience with rude wait staff, terrible service and super delicious food! Set in a fifties style diner with kitschy decor and neon lighting throughout, you'll have insults thrown at you, be expected to participate in games and have the occasional rude finger in your face. So much fun, and a HUGE thank you to the staff that absolutely delivered the rudest Karen experience I've ever had!

The food was delicious and good serving size. The thickshakes were also pretty good. Service was pretty poor though, staff didn't really care and had a lot of attitude. I complained about everything I could think of and asked for a discount at the end, the staff tried to make me give a tip instead. Was a bit of fun and a new concept, may not be for everyone but certainly recommend giving it a try for the food and entertainment.

I went to Karen's with my friend last night and honestly didn't really know how I was going to feel about the whole concept. It's such a strange feeling knowing you're expected to be openly rude to restaurant staff, I wasn't very good at it to be honest but the staff at Karen's made sure that we had an enjoyable night. We were laughing from the moment we stepped in the door and were greeted with 'what do you want??' through a megaphone and the laughs didn't stop. The night was so entertaining from the games to the little quips and remarks from the staff as they passed by. The food was good American style diner food with decent vegan options and fairly priced cocktails. I will definitely recommend Karen's to my friends, it was the best night I have had out in so long. Thank you to the people who were working on 13th November, you guys deserve a raise. 🙏😊

The food was great but the service was terrible. The staff were obnoxious, rude and surly. It was a great experience as my daughter gave as good as she received. I highly recommend this place for a fun experience. The place is set out like an 80s impression of a 50s diner. The menus are inside record sleeves and the place is covered with pictures of celebrities with Karen haircuts. I promise you will have a lot of fun.

The menus options are an excellent value. The dining experience overall is very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant for a good laugh, this experience is a MUST! do it's the talk of the town we were Karen satisfied. Definitely coming back! It was awkward and uncomfortable as advertised. Which was fine. Would recommend in a group seems the bigger groups had more fun then the pairs. Food was ok. Although having dietary requirements was a bit of a problem. I emailed in advance to ask if they do gluten free for a coeliac and they said that they do you just have to tell them on the night. Telling the staff that I was a coeliac was fine but they did not break character and made me doubt if they actually took it seriously. It was uncomfortable to not know if I was getting gluten free food or not.

The interior of the place, the rudeness of the staff, the entertainment throughout the night, the delicious food and the atmosphere in general. I had so much fun here 19/2. We were a large group- we enjoyed the banter with our British waiter, the games and they're birthday song. The burgers were actually good and even though rude they gave great menu alteration suggestions. I would definitely go back and recommend to others, just a good old laugh and i was very happy with one remarked resembling me to Liza Minnelli 👌
