I keep returning here for excellent authentic Italian food! Love the Italian vibe and coziness and funky stuff. 💣 Crab meat risotto is my hero. Just all the menu is worth every calorie and giving in the temptation to have a bit of everything in one go👌 My favourite spot in Leichardt

My order was during the lockdown back in August. So man people have recommended this place so I have finally tried the delivery on Friday night. Pizzas were fresh but not as good what I was told. Maybe I will try dine-in next time.

I ordered a “calzone nonna” take away: tomato base with ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese and smoked ham. I believe the pizza crust was not fully cooked inside, it tasted like uncooked flour. Not all the ovens are appropriate for calzone pizza, because it has 2 layers of crust one above the other. So this might be the reason, but I’m rating anyway 4 stars because it was very well filled, the taste on the filled side was good and I’m sure every other pizza not folded is well cooked even on the crust part.

Lovely small restaurant. Staff lovely and attentive. Food abundant and tasty. Reasonably priced. Enjoyed the atmosphere here better than other Italian restaurants we've been to. Can't remember the exact names of the dishes, the pasta had bacon and mushrooms in it and the pizza has prawns and cherry tomatoes. Both lovely, we will be back.

One of my favourite places to get really great homemade gnocchi! The mushroom sauce is to die for, by far the best I’ve had. I’m sure all other options on the menu are amazing too. When I lived in petersham I would get take away every so often 🤌🏻🤌🏻

We’ve had pizzas delivered many times from here and it’s always a great feed. But it turns out their gnocchi is next level. We’ve also had it delivered for the occasional lunch, and today decided to eat in. It’s even better freshly served. My nduja gnocchi was melt in the mouth. Great place!

Food here if amazing. The Gnocchi was cooked perfect and the taste wax amazing. I could not get enough of it. Has the Parma pizza and it is the best amongst the area. Highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong

All I can say is yummmm!! We got a pizza and pasta to share. There was so much flavour and was fresh. Absolutely great food and great service. The staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Couldn’t fault anything here. I can’t wait to visit again.

I booked this restaurant from Queensland for my daughter’s birthday. The restaurant could not have been more helpful. Organised everything, made the night very special and went above and beyond for a large group. I did not have the privilege of enjoying the food but the feedback was that it was some of the best Italian the group had eaten. I read that Marios had won an award for great pizzas and the group said they could understand why! The customer service and experience and the food was all A plus. I cannot wait to go there Myself when I am next in Sydney. I too run a food business in Brisbane so happy to provide a good customer service review as this is paramount in a world full of dining options!

Mozzarella stick special was underwhelming and more like a kids meal. The diavola pizza and ragu pasta was very nice. Dessert was ok but both the panacotta and ricotta cheesecake were served on their own. Needed something to go with it. The waitress definitely didn’t want to be there and thus the service was average.

Wanted to go for a while and did not disappoint. Wonderful flavours. Great hospitality. Wonderful and welcoming. Greeted me as I left. Ambience is great. Food was well priced, tasty and felt home made with love. Ricotta cheesecake felt super fresh and homemade. Highly recommend!

Great food , delicious pizzas and amazing staff! They are an absolute class act. I booked the wrong day and turned up on Valentines Day with my kids. No only did they let us order off the normal menu (not the Valentines Day set menu), they did it with a smile. I’m so sorry for putting them out but we will be back (arriving on actual booked future dates!).

Had such a delicious meal tonight from Marios, feeling down in lockdown and was craving a yummy fresh seafood pasta, which can go wrong very easily sometimes, but not this one, was perfect! The prawn Gamberi was exactly what I was hoping for - fresh and very flavoursome.

Pizza was delicious, the ingredients on the Pizza were top quality, particularly the Italian Salami which was mouthwatering. I don't usually like Salami on Pizza but this place changed that completely - I would go back for that alone. Service was good too.

We just had the most delicious meal! Great pizza, pasta and chicken schnitzel! We had the tiramisu too and it was divine! The guy that delivered out food was so lovely and polite, food was hot and when the machine to pay didn’t work, he gave us the food while it was hot and came back. Very happy camper. I made a mistake on the booking time. They actually held our empty table for 30mins before releasing to another patron. The owner was very accomodating and put us on the next available table. After we sat down, the table service was fantastic, friendly and attentative. Food arrived very quickly and taste great. The restaurant atmosphere has a nice modern family vibe and authentically Italian. The decor creates a warm ambience and provide an undercover alfesco experience on a lovely autumn night.

We ordered take away directly with Marios on a Saturday night. Ordered for our guests who are vegan as well as several kids. Therese (the owner) said delivery would be in 20 min and sure enough it was! Food was excellent quality and not a single complaint from otherwise fussy guests! Plus, we received a complimentary dessert. Such as lovely touch. Will definitely continue to order through Mario’s Pizza Bar.

I’ve only tried takeaway from Mario’s so far and have found they make great tasting proper Italian pizzas. Their base is one of the best around but don’t expect piles of toppings – that’s not what proper Italian pizzas are about. The staff are friendly, and my pizzas ready in less than 15 minutes. My only gripe would be that they are a little overpriced, but I guess good food doesn’t come cheap.

Great pizza!! I have only tried it as take away but it’s always arrived hot and fresh. You can tell they put the effort on the tomato sauce. It’s delicious! They also offer free delivery if you order directly through them, which is great.

Had been wanting to try Mario's out since it came to the neighbourhood, and was not disappointed. Highlights were the delicious antipasti platters, and authentic wood-fired pizzas. Highly recommend the Marina (prawn) pizza. The staff are lovely and welcoming, and create a great atmosphere. And definitely leave room for dessert!

So good to see a new restaurant open on Norton St- far too many have closed over the last few years. Went in for takeaway, and the staff are personable, but best of all the pizza is so good. The Calabrese has epic flavours and the bruschetta is delicious. Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best pizza ever. 20 out of 10. We had the Quattro Stagioni which was cooked to absolute perfection. Usually most pizza places struggle cooking pizzas with prawns but not Mario's. The base was a beautifully thin and fluffy. (I have never had such a great base and i have eaten in over 80 countries) The capsicum, olives, ham and the MUSHROOMS (what were they So good)? All the ingredients complemented one another to create a symphony in my mouth. 100% recommended, had stopped eating in Leichhardt and eating pizza, thanks to Mario's i will be visiting Leichhardt at least once per week. Thanks guys for the best meal in a long time. 🙏🙏🙏
