Having never dined at this establishment previously, we mistakenly assumed "mcdonalds" would be an acceptable choice for the well to do such as ourselves to enjoy a degustation experience with matching wines. Unable to get the jaguar in the carpark, and with no valet in sight, my dining companion and I were forced to scale a hefty 40cm hedge to enter the establishment. This was primarily due to a large number of large customers in a large lineup, making large orders through the small "drive through" area of the "restaurant". We finished the day with a Ferrero Rocher. A crisp hazelnut and milk chocolate covered delight. 4/5 for the chocolate.

Extremely convenient location. However, this makes it quite busy so service can be slow. You can't really blame them for that though. Apart from that, the food is fine. No problems here.

This has now become a must-stop place for refreshment everytime we visit Blue Mountains. Ordered two hot tea with milk, which were prepared separately in the McCafe sector and served in a large double cup. But be careful when you drink as the liquid content is quite hot. Also ordered the Chicken McNuggets, 24pcs for $11.95, nothing special but was slightly fried this time, probably because there were so many customers and orders at that time (arrived around 4pm on Sunday). Friendly staff and well-maintained restaurant as tables are cleaned immediately after use.

Highly recommend this McDonald's. Clean, large space. Great service, friendly staff and fresh food. Good coffee at $5.20 for a medium soy cappuccino. I don't usually eat fast food but their location down the mountain on my way to Sydney is perfect for a drive through quick bite.

Excellent Maccas. Very clean and spacious inside. Toilets are also nice and clean. Staff are always friendly. The Drive-Thru is quick and efficient and my burger and fries were hot and fresh. Plenty of parking so you can enjoy eating in your car before getting back on the road. Thank you to all the staff who run this place.

We have stopped at this McDonald’s so many times. It is our church youth group stop on the way to the Katoomba Christian convention every year. There is plenty of parking and the staff are well prepared for big groups. We can turn up with 25 youth and meet another 2-3 groups of the same size and the staff cope really well with the influx. So keep an eye out for us and say hi!

The place is renovated and looks good. Customer service is great. It's a busy place with less parking. The drive through is so close to the entry/exit that if there are couple of cars in one lane on the drive through, then the entry/exit is blocked. Hope this issue is fixed. If not for this one issue, this place is 5 stars.

Waited at drive thru ordering bay for far too long. Our order was small but had to wait to pay & then in the wait bay for the order to be completed. It appeared to me a lack of staff was a contributing factor and the staff member who eventually completed the order was very uninterested & had very poor customer service. The poorest trip to a McDonald's I have experienced. Will find somewhere better in Blaxland next trip.

Hey, its Maccos.....in the blue mountain. Kinda hard to find. This location is at historical ppint of interest where these walls were built in mid 1800's. Interesting find for me was seeing the marketing efforts selling "El Macco is bacco" with jalapenos and spicy sauce on the Big Mac. Gravy on fries and they call it loaded (🤣....wait till they try animal fires). On the bright side, el macco has been a reliable place get wifi and a clean bathroom throughout our travels. Every location has been super clean. Plus the food seems different....in a very good way. I would actually look forward to visiting one wherever we needed to stop.

We stopped here for several times during our Mudgee getaway. The bathrooms here were very well looked after, most importantly clean. Plus, there were designated staff to sterilize the pre-ordering stations after each customer use. I was very impressed!! Lastly, the girls made great tasting coffee!

This Maccas is small and rennovated. The inside of the store looks good, but the car park can have rubbish scattered all over. Tables are usually kept clean, and the customer service is great. However due to its space limitations and busyness, during peak hours the entry/exit to the car park is completely blocked, regardless of whether or not car parks are avaliable. The drive-through is very popular and some people elect to block the whole carpark to use the drive-through. During peak hours the wait to order and then recieve your food can be upwards of 15 minutes. School-children frequent the maccas, and while the place can be busy, I am yet to notice very distruptful/violent customers. Main access to the car park is through the street, however one can gain access to the rear carpark by turning into the 7-11 from the highway, and then taking the left to enter the Maccas carpark. As with any fast food franchise, it is a good place to begin working, but definitely not sustainable, frequently employees will be let go once they reach an age (and thus pay) threshold. Either that or they will be promoted. I would reccommend the Hash-Browns and Nuggets.

Stopped by this store on way home to Sydney for a quick snack. The staff were very pleasant to deal with and I was shocked at how Honest their waiting times are. 2 min wait was like 1min only. Tonight I went to maccas to get my children sundaes. Not long after we ordered there was an announcement made explaining that there were problems with the machinery. At that point in time the grills weren’t working or the frappe machine as well as the automatic drink machine. It was calmly and clearly explained to customers that they could change their order to fried food. They were offered juice or coffee in place of other drinks. The staff were clearly stressed as it was very busy but they were professional and polite and kept the customers informed. What a great job you did considering the unfortunate circumstances that were clearly beyond your control. Well done!!!! (And we got our sundaes soon after). Great job Blaxland!!

Busy as! Friendly staff but because they were trying to cope with the huge customer volume the place was a pigsty and there wasn't anywhere to sit. When we did get our family's food (20 minute wait) two chip servings were missing which were quickly corrected. The food was hot and fresh on arrival. Conclusion: a victim of its own success; if it weren't just past lunchtime I would have driven a bit longer onto Eastern Creek Macca's.

Hands down one of the best McDonald's me and my partner has ever come across. Where we are from, all our Maccas are absoultely horrible and disgusting. Believe it was graveyard shift time & after a horrible rush by the looks of the restaurant, the food was actually amazing, it honestly shocked us, definitely made up for how the restaurant looked at the time and staff was onto it as soon as they could anyway. This store is right on the highway. A great location for travellers to stop in. Parking is a bit tight. The place is always busy. Plenty of fresh choices and healthy options. They have a McCafe. The service is good, fairly quick when you condider the volume of meals they're serving. The restaurant area is clean. The toilets are very compact.

What was it when I was a kid that made McDonald's make you feel important? It was a dream then, in the 80's, when you'd get to go once a month maybe, or less - if Mum had made her Corned Beef or Dad was on night shift. You see, Dad was a cop so when he went with us we got half price Macca's. Noice! I remember when they had a 2 for 1 promotion on Big Mac's. Haven't seen that for a while. Me and Jeff (erstwhile, brother) ate 4 each that day. 4 for the price of 1! Man we was hungry back then! Sheesh! But that was when the burgers were presented in styrofoam containers and Grimace and Ronald were all about the Hamburglar and his thieving ways. Hill Street felt a long way away. More innocent, perhaps Less detailed. These days all of that fast food restaurant mascot tom foolery is long forgotten and the menu has changed drastically but the stalwarts of burgers and fries and coke and shakes remain the same. Plus the dream that is McDonald's. Sure our kids go every other week but it's still a special place to go. This was my first visit to Macca's Blaxland but they're all the same, really, all Macca's are much the same. How they're meant to be. Cookie cut, text book driven, neat and clean and ultimately a formidable intrigue in this modern culture of internet and fast food. An extra star for the flexibility of this place during a time of pandemic.

Crazy busy. I thought I'd try the ordering computer to save time but because I chose cash, I had to line up anyway, so if actually wasted time. Took about 20 minutes to get drinks (what I'd ordered, they didn't have). The staff were busy and seemed to work together well. They were being hammered! The atmosphere in there was chaotic.

Without doubt at 5 a.m. they serve the best sausage and egg McMuffin I have had anywhere in Australia in my life completely amazing and would love to give this place five stars however they lose the star for being extraordinarily slow on a constant and regular basis with no explanation or apologies but if you go in there and just politely let them know that they're taking a very long time and that they have been holding you up for far too long, then nicely ask the manager if they will give you a "CHOC MUD MUFFIN - on the house" as kind of compensation for killing your life while waiting, more often than not, you'll see ore one.

Hey, im not that into Maccas, but have enjoyed good maccas plenty since the late 70s.. Blaxland has served us The Best ( and consistently so over 3 yrs) McAngus, Cheeseburger, Quarterpounder, Filet o fish..( fries & nuggets are sharp) , But...Burgers are consistently Superior to what we've had over the last 40 yrs across many sites..must have a franchise owner who prioritises quality at every step... Even staff interpersonal skills and morale, and they seem bloody busy. Well done Blaxland Maccas

It can get busy & somewhat crowded as this is the last fast-food outlet before Lithgow, however this is a good thing going as it encourages you to explore other eating opportunities "off" the highway! As any MacDonald's or Maccer in the town. This one the service is good and the place ia clean. It is somehow crowded, but still the service is fast as it should be for a fast food company. The interior design is brilliant, it is calm and wonderful. You can check the sunset from some of the windows while eating.

Very busy at the time of my visit school had just finished. The service was slow the store needs extra staff on at this time in the afternoon. She was very professional, organised, friendly, and didn't stop to draw breath, other than to call out for help, which she didn't get much of! No matter how busy she was, she was polite, apologetic for keeping customers waiting, all while doing the work of 3 people at once! Your store should commend staff like her for her dedication! This is the ONLY maccas in the BM's because the local council doesn't allow them. The closest other McDonald's are Lithgow (from western or katoomba side of mtns) or Penrith from the eastern side of the mtns. Service here has always been good when I've been in the past.

Pulled in here to feed our hungry family of five whilst on a road trip. McDonalds is what it is. You either love it, hate it, or tolerate it because the monsters in your car are driving you nuts and McDonalds is guaranteed bribery material. Have to give the utmost credit to this McDonalds. We visited on 30th December for lunch and the place was absolutely PUMPING! Cars and people everywhere! But I left this establishment feeling impressed! This McDonalds must get a lot of custom because the layout was very open and spacious. The staff were constantly cleaning, no piles of food and rubbish here. And our meals were prepared quickly and correctly. Well done!

Last McDonalds until you reach the other side of the mountain as the Blue Mountains Council doesn't allow McDonalds on the mountain to compete with the local eateries.
