I have a soft spot for Oportos. This visit was a birthday voucher (Free meal) that is given to people who sign up for an Oportos membership. The quality of the burgers has gone back up after a dip in quality and taste around 10/12 years ago. I usually order the Bondi burger with chilli and I find the chilli sauce a more enjoyable than other Portuguese chicken take away restaurants. The fries are good and cooked well. Best enjoyed as soon as they are served for maximum crunch. I will get the Extremo Picante sauce as a side which can be quite hot and burns the roof of my mouth.

Good quick and efficient service. Customer service is always friendly. The only "fast food" in the area that I would say is "healthy". Quick stop for a good feed. I highly recommend going here at late night after the movies to grab a potato popcorn and some of their zesty sauce before walking back to the car or to the station to go home for the night.

Good for a quick bite but that's about it. Lots of seating. Prices are good. I wouldnt go here late at night though as the crowds are a bit crazy and the people are well intoxicated. Perhaps best for lunch only.

Oporto is a restaurant/cafe that is very lively and has cheap take away food that is better than all of the other take away areas. The food is the best and the most delicious and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Oporto allows you to have a meal on a budget and is recommended for everyone especially tourists.

Oporto has excellent burgers. Make sure you get the Bondi burger with chilli sauce. You cannot go without the sauce. The chicken is cooked really nicely. The chips are also nice. Prices can be a little more expensive than competitors such as McDonalds, but the price is definitely worth it.

I had the bacon and hashbrown burger with fries. Unbeatable price for just AUD2.98 Top it up with fries and drink and you get a complete meal. Too bad Oporto is not available back in Kuala Lumpur. Would definately recommend travellers on a budget to have a meal here

It has an impressive array of shops including food, clothes and books. The Japanese bookstore on the top level is a must see and I thoroughly enjoyed Wagamama, which overlooks the pathway below. Also a handy and scenic shortcut from George st to Pitt st
