A cool little outdoor bar/restaurant opposite circular quay. Not much of a view just more in the heart of the city styles. Food was great!

I've always loved the Quay bar for a few drinks by the water. Good service, and reasonably priced drink & food options. Lovely in the sun.

Great and convienant place to meet up with people for drinks or a quick bit to eat. Close to Circular Quay, the opera house, the rocks and the train. Food is ok and reasonably priced. Great to sit outside in the sun, and enjoy a nice cold beer. Friendly and well trained staff.

Great atmosphere!! A perfect place for drink and food especially on a friday night.Location is perfect and the service is good. Price for the food is reasonable too.

Great atmosphere and great location. Tasty food and even tastier drinks. Staff are efficient and friendly.

Amazing place where you enjoy 360°view of Sydney, excellent taste, a really fine dining.

Popped in for lunch and pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Schnitzel was perfectly done, with excellent fries and a tasty, fresh salad. Good range of quality wines (bottle or by the glass). Staff were a bit distracted (Mondayitis?) but everything went to order, regardless. Better than the fare at Circular Quay yet only the shortest of walks away. Sit outdoor or indoor (indoor with a/c).

I had such a nice experience at Quay Bar. I had a large booking of 18 people and all orders came out promptly and close together, and even though it was a chilly night the staff made sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and we had a great view of a few Vivid attractions which was lovely. I would definitely go here again!

I haven't had the food, but the drinks are fantastic

A nice spot for hanging out on a Saturday morning. The rainbow lorikeets are a treat. Coffee is overpriced for the size and the service is a little surly. Breakfast was nice, poached eggs on sour dough.

One of the best dinners of my life. The view was breathtaking. The food was unique (when I travel I want food thats local and I can't get versions of in America), and tasty. Enjoyed it greatly!

As part of Customs House the Quay Bar has both indoor and outdoor options for a drink. This day we decided to venture outdoors and the staff were helpful enough to turn the gas heater on. Right in the heart of Circular Quay - nice to watch the world go by and have a drink from which there were plenty of options. The inside of the place was quite intriguing in its decor.

Pleasant outdoor pub. Good food. Though my colleague had a hair in her salad. They did offer to replace it and reimburse the meal. They said it was a string from the apron. They were all very apologetic.

Great place. Great service. With great drinks and friends.

Excellent outdoor bar/cafe, I've been a few times

Always an awesome spot for a Friday afternoon lunch and drink. They got beers on tap and the food is good. Gets pretty busy as the office hours end so get there early!

We hold all our client coffees and internal meetings @ Quay Bar, Coffee is amazing and so is the food. The service is great and fast.
Friday afternoon Beer in the sun doesn't get any better!

Friendly staff and a nice outdoor area to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The location is awesome right next to circular quay and further enough away that you aren't paying tourists prices.
The toilets are located inside past the bar area and have a very "interesting" smell. Fairly unpleasant, its a mix of sewerage and musty odours making for a undesirable effect in that to linger here to long would be a problem.

The perfect place for after work drinks before jumping on a bus, ferry or train to get home. The outdoor bar is always crowded with corporate workers around 5-7pm especially during the hot summer months. Hot tip - if the lines are too long at the outside bar duck inside and grab your drinks inside instead! The lines are much shorter there. There's decent food to have something to snack on while you drink too. Only downside is the toilets, which are often quite messy due to the tiny bins for paper towel!
A. G.
A really nice location for some drinks after work. It has a very pleasant ambiance and during the summer months it has an even better vibe. I haven't tried any of the food, but heard it's pretty good.

Quay Bar is popular with suits for a post-work tipple, and it's easy to see why. The location on the courtyard of Custom's House is perfect for a balmy summer evening, and service is friendly and fast. Typical bar-style food is on the menu, with the pulled-pork burger a particularly messy but delicious option.
Just a shame about the noise of buses constantly pulling up and leaving across the road.
D. F.
Quay Bar is predominantly an after work "suits" hangout but it has its benefits. The food is very decent for bar food, its location is perfect for heading out in Circular Quay or The Rocks, and on a summer afternoon you'll find it's perfect. All your friends will get in, it's a great meeting point and it's great for people watching. Often there is something going on in the Customs House forecourt, including one of the many food trucks, so you won't be short of something to keep you occupied.

Oh my nose! When the burger came it, filled my nostrils with a very beefy smell! Before eating, I already feel in love with the burger just from the intense smell. After I took the first bite, i thought it was slightly salty... As I continued, the salt became difficult to handle. My friends burger had separated and he was able to examine the cause of the saltiness. Apparently the excess salt was coming from the cheddar cheese. I think the patty is definitely worth a try, but wont be coming back in a long time. The fries is spectacular, very good portions to fill the void inbetween the burger and emptyness. The ambiance is nice, you can choose to seat within or outside the bar; many seating options.

Quay bar is the perfect spot for after work drinks or a quick bite for lunch. They do great burgers and traditional pub grub at lightening speed, with standing room only on a Friday lunch when the sun is shining.
They have a compact and approachable wine list and cocktail pitchers that suit the outdoor atmosphere of this popular inner city gastro pub.
Make sure you try the chicken schnitzel which is brined and crumbed in house and the $20 Quay bar burger and beer special on Friday is awesome value!
D. H.
Nice staff, wonderful location. We are quite discriminating about where we meet but have been returning here regularly..

Popular and cool. Great location. This place has improved dramatically over the years and has been our work local for many years. Extremely popular on a Friday night.
Decent pub food too.
A. M.
Pretty average affair, food is clearly aimed at tourism and not repeat customers as it's expensive and forgettable. The outside seating area is a good way to while away a sunny afternoon.
M. C.
Went during Melbourne Cup and the atmosphere was good. Even better that work paid for the drinks. Just watch your food for pesky seagulls!
J. L.
THis place is always a good place for lunch whne you're really hungry and could do with a quick bite. Got the pizza last time and didn't have to wait long at all. Pizza came out crisp, fresh and delicious. Good place to meet up with friends, colleagues or chill out by yourself
M. W.
This is one of Sydney's best bars for people watching. The outdoor area is situated between the busy Circular Quay station and the old buildings of Sydney's CBD which sit under the impressive highrises. They also do $5 happy hour in the afternoons which is an added bonus in one of the most expensive cities in the word.

There aren't nearly enough rooftop bars in Sydney - Fact. So I figure, if you can't be up top this is the next best thing. Quay Bar is in a great location directly in front of Customs House and right next to Circular Quay.
The drinks are just drinks, but the location makes this place special.
D. R.
Great bar type food, not too pricey considering the location and a brilliant place to be during a warm summer day for lunch. Food is $15-$20 and drinks are fairly standard Sydney prices.
P. M.
I did not eat here but the drink list here was fantastic. You can order your drinks inside and enjoy them on the patio on a nice day/night. Friendly staff.
S. G.
Plenty of good beers and beveridge options to enjoy in the sun. Excellent location down at Circular Quay so can make a good stop going to or coming from the Opera House or ferries.
R. M.
Best place to enjoy and have a chillaxing time!
G. L.
Quay Bar is our local work bar! However it also seems to be very popular for other local companies. The outdoor atmosphere and Circular Quay evenings are just the perfect way to end the week!
D. K.
good spot for a al fresco drink and bite by Circular Quay. One star off for calling an avocado cheese dip “guacamole”. Guac does NOT have cheese in it.
R. B.
Beers are ok not bad but not brilliant. Cocktails are fun but just rehashes of old favourites with larger price tags. Nice setting near the quay.
W. D.
Really here for the views. And views there are! Awesome at night.

Came here for a groupon recently, have walked past this place countless times not knowing what it is, but coming here recently going for a hearty meal with burger and chips with a cold one on tap was a wonderful and smooth sailing experience, having seated outside it was really nice vibrant culture, having people relaxed, having a good time and seeing everyone in a cheerful way especially some of the staff, but nonetheless the burger was a good fix to a good jog i had done during the city that day and would come here in the near future to try other things in the menu!

Nice outdoor coffee bar in the middle of noisy rush hour.
A. W.
Great summer bar. Filled with suits. Great thing is the on a busy Friday, it's a place where you can still hear the person next to you talk without shouting.
P. H.
