Comments of Ragazzi Wine and Pasta
M. T.
Great place for delicious pasta. Servings are on the smaller end but I prefer it this way - as they are extremely flavoursome and means you can treat this restaurant like a degustation. The anchovy toast is a must, I get it every time!
D.
Good Italian, not outstanding. They nailed pasta itself - great bite. sauces were okay. The service was nice and they have a good wine list. Good experience but not dying to go back. Sagra is still my favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney :)
J. w.
Great pasta joint!! Really enjoy the pastas here as they are just the right amount of al dente and super tasty, always hitting the spot. Been here a few times now and it doesn’t disappoint!
J. Q.
Some interesting flavours with slight Asian fusion vibes. The pasta however is very fresh and I love how they cook it (on the firmer side)
The location is lovely and the interior is cozy and a great atmosphere for dates.

Serving perfectly al dante pasta bursting with flavour and good wine, it was a really nice lunch spot for two.
For entree, we ordered scallop crudo which was light with creamy and crunchy elements. The fusilli, pork & fennel sausage, clam dish was well-balanced in terms of salted sausage, buttery herb sauce and firm pasta. However, the oceanic taste of the clams wasn’t very pleasant. My friend enjoyed her pasta dish too. We both really loved the zucchini as a side.
As reviews have pointed out, the wine list is quite extensive and I went with a recommendation from the waiter. Finally, the service was very good as the waiters were friendly and attentive.
In total, it was $130 for 2pp. Although the price point is on the higher end, I would definitely come back again and recommend to others. ☺️

Great pasta, perfectly cooked al dente with some very unique flavours !
I really loved the fermented chilli, prawn and cabbage conchigilie (shell) dish. The prawns were VERY fresh and not over cooked and the cabbage added a great crispy crunch.
Pictured also is the cacio e pepe and tornarellie with sea urchin and a green garlic butter sauce. For dessert they had a white chocolate and pear tart- the short crust was absolutely divine.
The starters I recommend are the mozzarella croquettes ( you will want more than one pp!) And the sourdough with anchovy- very delicious sour dough that had a distinct tangy flavour and A LOT of butter but the anchovy was absolutely delicious and not overtly fishy at all. The anchovy provided a salty umami.
Overall highly recommend!

Impeccable food, impeccable service, amazing atmosphere and the perfect restaurant for an intimate night out. Our waiters were wonderful, we left the ordering completely in their hands (Not the tasting menu, we simply said we want to try as much of the menu as possible and happy to over order and take home). Each dish was better than the next, 3 entrees, 4 pastas and a desert between 2 people. Alas, there were no leftovers as we could not stop ourselves. Highly recommend.

I’ve been a couple of times and unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my experience there. The food was overly salty. We asked for salad with our mains however it arrived 20mins after the first pasta was served so we only had it with the second. No bread was offered with our burrata and serve wasn’t the best. We tried to get the waiters attention however there was only 1 female and 1 male attending the customers. The male was dressed in the white chef’s uniform so I assume they were short staffed for a busy Sunday and he had to help at the front.
Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great and I probably wouldn’t return.

We had a booking on Tuesday 15th Feb, and our two servers that night were lovely, and made us feel welcome straight away. Literally every item we ordered was delicious but our highlight was the anchovy and butter entree. I kind of can’t stop thinking about it. Thank you for the great service and food, I can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful meal with excellent service !
We decided to come here last minute and were given the option to sit outside or at the bar.
As it was a little cold we decided to sit inside. This was definitely the right decision because the bartender Mon was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and food.
The highlight for me was the tuna crudo and the burrata < 33
The pasta was good in my opinion but not amazing.
Would love to come back to try the anchovy toast, and the desserts.
A. T.
Has the vibe of a restaurant in a small alley in Melbourne (in the best way possible). The food was on another level and will go down as some of the best pasta I’ve ever had (I’m a fiend for my pasta). The service was also great. Couldn’t be happier with the experience overall. If 6 stars was an option I’d give it a 6. Girlfriend even ended up doing a happy dance with how good it was. Go here. I don’t care what else you have going on. Do it. Go here. Now.
M. L.
An absolute favourite restaurant of ours. The staff are a delight and the meals out if this world. We’ve been here many times but this time we chose the chef’s favourite set meal and we were so happy we did! Plate after plate of sensational meals! A must visit.
B. M.
Lamb Rigatoni was lovely, portion size somewhat small however. Extensive wine list. Was disappointed with the flippant attitude of one of the waitresses at the restaurant, no acknowledgement of myself or my friend at our table when pouring us water or when taking our plates, really not sure what her problem was; very unprofessional and leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. The anchovy sourdough was extremely over priced; a literal half slice of bread, smeared with butter and one, that’s right, ONE anchovy. Not justifiable at a price tag of $7. Glad to have tried somewhere new but will not be returning.
J. D.
Look, I understand smaller dishes have more flavour, but I found the spaghetti to be bland.
The pork pasta was stunning
The zucchini was a pleasant suprise.
The waitress was a ditz.
For the price I was expecting the flavour to dominate. There may of been an off day for the staff (Tuesday dinner) so I am willing to give them another shot and alter this review if they pull through.
S. L.
Charming place for a dinner date. Great wine selection and pasta was delicious. The restaurant is small and cosy. The bar seating is a little cramped so recommend requesting a table upon making a reservation.
G. M.
Couldn’t love it more!! Hard to find a better table to dine at than Ragazzi. Amazing service, food/wine always delicious, fun soundtrack.. good times, always ❤️
J. M.
Excellent pasta and white wine selections! The staff are super friendly and good for giving recommendations. Unfortunately, the whole restaurant layout is too packed, I was literally sitting less than 5cm to the people next to my table. Really awkward and uncomfortable with such physical distance. Would love to come back for more pasta and wine if this improves.
V. J.
The food was good (I recommend the raviolis). The desert menu is very limited. And the atmosphere is very joyful despite the level of the music which is slightly to loud to hear your friends.
A bit disappointing to have the table for only 1h30. We had to leave without being able to finish our glasses of wine.
D.
I really enjoyed my experience here.
Restaurant - Very small and narrow (I felt uncomfortable because I'm sure no guest would want to see my bottom whilst eating while I squeezing my way out in between the tables), low light setting, warm and cosy.
Food - We chose the $65 set menu. The entrée's were definitely the highlight. Each entree was so delicious and different and made you want to go back for more! We had 2 pasta dishes and 2 salads for main. The flavours for both were just so delicious and full of flavour. We finished off with 1 panna cotta dessert which was also a highlight of the night. All dishes were a good portion to share.
Overall - Food was delicious, atmosphere was great, service was perfect but wish the restaurant was bigger and had more space.
We were lucky to have booked and were seated inside as it was raining however, I notice upon leaving the restaurant guest seated outside were given umbrellas to hold up because there were no shelter for outdoor seating.
C. M.
The food was good but the portions were quite small. A group of 4 we were sat outside and although our waiter tried to make it as comfortable as possible, the tables were quite tiny and made it a little difficult and uncomfortable for us to share and enjoy.
M. T.
Ragazzi does exceptional pastas that are al dente and have very unique flavors and shapes of pasta. It was a great dining experience, however the restaurant is really packed and loud. I prefer sitting outside since it’s more quiet and spacious where you can actually hear your friends talk.
The panna cotta was also super delicious, I would recommend that one!
H. M.
I had the chance to visit Ragazzi several times since it has opened. Customer service has always been a must and dishes are usually excellent. Pasta are cooked to perfection. This time sadly, it seems that the sauce of the 3 pasta dishes we tried was the same, buttery with chives. A bit less research on this menu, more generic pasta. Maybe the consequence of the group getting bigger? Hopefully just a slip!
N. G.
RAGAZZI = BOYS!!
Been here a handful of times and oh RAGAZZI (boy).... they are always consistent! Great service, nice ambience and an even better wine list! They make their pasta fresh and the place has an amazing vibe to it. Highly recommend! Cute place for a date night or to catch up with friends, I recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment but they always have room for walk ins and there are many cute bars around to sip a martini whilst you wait!
E. F.
We were lucky to get a table for four, and appreciated that the wonderful Felix squeezed us in. We had really been looking forward to coming here and had high expectations, but unfortunately the service on the night let us down.
The staff were friendly, however everything just took a long time and seemed haphazard. We were desperate for some wine and food and it was happening at a snails pace. It was difficult to get anyone's attention. They had run out of the bottle we ordered and finally we got an order in for several glasses. I could see our wines poured waiting for us at the bar for much too long. We would have ordered a lot more wine if had the chance. We then waited 45 minutes for our pastas while the table next to us, who arrived half an hour later, were onto their third plate.
The four pastas and a salad we ordered to share weren't enough to feed us as the portion sizes were quite small and the protein portion a tiny amount. It would have been helpful if the waiter had guided us into ordering the right amount.
L. T.
Outstanding service, Nick has made a lasting impression, I was shocked that he said he did not own the restaurant as he was so attentive and genuine. The food was unbelievable for the price, the ambiance and interiors also fantastic, a warm, upbeat, 'cool' feel. This place is 10/10 so well rounded. Ive already text many of my food loving friends stating "this is the best Italian in Sydney" - Thank you and see you soon!
V. H.
For 2 we ordered the anchovies on sourdough and mushroom & cheese croquettes. For mains we got 3 pastas: spaghetti cacio e pepe, mafaldine cuttlefish & chilli, and the cavatelli, pork sausage & artichoke. And lastly the hazelnut mousse for dessert.
The anchovies started strong. The butter was very creamy and light, and cut the saltiness of the anchovies well. Bread was great, we finished it in 3 bites.
If it’s still on the menu when you go DEFINITELY TRY THE CROQUETTES. Who knew they could pack so much flavour into one little ball. I was desperately trying to stop myself from finishing it in one bite.
The cacio e pepe was good, but not amazing. It tasted like something was missing. I know it’s just a cheese sauce, but maybe it would’ve been better with a bit more pepper.
The mafaldine with cuttlefish pasta was my favourite of the three. The texture of the cuttle fish was great, and matched nicely with the mafaldine in the sauce. There were little crispy bits in it too which I liked a lot.
The pork sausage had a nice flavour to it, and the artichokes were slightly pickled which cut the sauce nicely. The pasta was thicker than the first two, but I felt like it would’ve been better with a longer type since everything was roughly the same size. Still, it was a good dish.
The hazelnut mousse was great. The dark chocolate and Fenet snap had great textures and mixed well. The only thing was I thought the oil and vinegar on the plate was unnecessary.
Good place to try.
P. Z.
My new favourite restaurant! I took a couple of clients and the food, wine, service, music and vibe is awesome! We had the set menu and asked Felix to do a wine pairing for us and he served up some absolute crackers! can't wait to go back with my Italian wife who is sure to love it as much as me!
N. C.
Fantastic lunch experience, atmosphere was cozy yet energetic, service was friendly and fast, and food was fresh, delicious and surprisingly good value. Highly recommended
W. 1.
Fast service and great tasting pasta
D. J.
we had the pigs head croquettes, tried the anchovies on toast, the cacio e pepe and the pork sausage (cooked in a pasta ive never seen before, like baby rigatonis) which were all so perfectly cooked and great flavors! Good value for money too!
K. T.
Dined by myself here, had the beef tartare, cacio e pepe, mandarin and coffee icecream. All the food was delicious, one of the best pastas plus dessert was a great palate cleanser after the cheesiness of the pasta. All staff were very friendly and attentive. I had a good time and will be back!o
T.
Quaint hidden Italian restaurant in Sydney's business district. I've heard great things about the pasta and the hype is real. Great attentive service, understated but classy. Pasta cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be back.
S. D.
Exceptional food. My wife booked two months ago and we loved getting there for a 5pm reservation. All of the dishes were superb, SUPERB. Burrata salad and raw beef were exceptional. Neither of us drink and we had a Spuma Mira, like a chinitto but actually better. We loved the restaurant setting and our host was great. I feel like apologising as we didn't leave a tip (neither of us have worked for a while and even though it was an expensive dinner for us, it was a restaurant that my wife was particularly keen to visit while we visited Sydney). After seeing the no tip, I felt the attitude change of our host. That made me feel slightly uncomfortable, and we were given a cold farewell. I understand wait staff work their arses off and I do usually tip, but with no income coming in, I hope staff may appreciate that an extravagant dinner for some people is already over budget. That would be my only - slight (and understandable) criticism of the evening, which left only a small impression. But seriously, the food is superb, portions were perfect. Highly recommended.
J. G.
Good meal for a good price. The burrata was the best I've had.
Food came out a bit too quick, 3 course meal we were finished in under an hour.
C. A.
INCREDIBLE food! Delicious, such good service, and so creative with their food combinations.
I’m so impressed and so happy with my time here
g. i.
My favourite restaurant in Sydney. Amazing meal as always, the menu is always different but equally as fabulous as the time before. Massive thanks to our host and waitress Bre she was the stand out of the evening and made the whole dining experience 10/10. We shall be back for more! Gem and rob x
M.
Great food, the sauce on every dishes are to die for! However, their pasta can be too Al dente for my likings. Might worth asking the chef to cook it longer.
R. A.
Fast service, amazing staff and spectacular food , well done guys xxx The Gigli pasta and Cavatelli were the bomb ,grazie
R. F. y.
Delicious food.
Place is a bit cramped. Very packed on a Saturday night, feels like they tried to maximise the space and people are literally sitting shoulder to shoulder like sardines.
J. H.
Absolutely brilliant! The pastas were flavour filled interesting brilliance, and when paired with your choice of over 250 gorgeous wines you can't go wrong! The place also looks stunning, awesome vibe and very comfortable for date night or a long lunch with friends. Lastly the staff were on point and clearly know their stuff. This is now my new favourite spot in the CBD hands down, can't wait to go again and I recommend all make their way down! Thanks for the experience team Ragazzi, see you again soon.
P. L.
Great pasta - the Caccio E Pepe brings back happy memories of Rome! Deceptively simple dish that's done perfectly here.
Be aware that the indoor seating is in a very small space and very tightly packed, in an almost night-market type of environment where you're seating half an arm's length away from the next table. Lots of uncomfortable couples eating silently, too embarassed talk given how close you are to the next table. You may also be uncomfortable with the spacing with the current coronavirus situation.
But while the vibe and comfort is a bit off, again the pastas are all awesome, one of the best in Sydney and worth a try!
D. C.
Great food, hard to fault but poor service. The fagottini and rigatoni were standouts. Cold welcome and treatment during the sitting and felt like a transaction rather than an experience. Not in a rush to dine again.
M. S.
Absolutely loved the pasta they had here and their burrata was delicious! Very nice decor and felt super romantic
R. H.
I'd been trying for weeks to get a booking at Ragazzi, finally got the opportunity to go last night and what an amazing experience! We sat in the outdoor seated area facing the street which was a very European vibe. The Anchovies on toast entree was delicious, the pasta's were fresh, home made and so tasty. The waiter Nick was so friendly and professional. The total experience was exceptional! I'll definitley be back, yum!
L. Z.
Went there for dinner on a Friday night. I ordered a pork belly and smoke eel croquette, a crab linguine and asked the waiter to recommend a wine to match the linguine. The linguine was both delicious and pleasing to the eye, just the right amount of creaminess. The croquette was awfully tiny for $5, the pork belly was ingenius but the smoked eel overpowered. Overall the flavour was alright. Didn't like the white wine pairing. We didn't think it complemented the linguine well enough; it didn't give the dish a new flavour. Wouldn't recommend ordering wine if you're a complete newbie to this subject at this restaurant.
I. H.
It’s a really good pasta restaurant. The wine menu is extensive and the menu is quite good. The portions were a little small for a dinner serving (felt more like a primi piatti size)
r. b.
This is one of our favourite restaurants in sydney. Consistently top notch with delicious, simple honest food served with great service and wonderful wine.
L. M.
The best pasta in Sydney, amazing food with a creative menu and wine list. Highly recommend!
B. K.
Cute small place in the city’s alleyway that serves up great food and has an incredible wine selection. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine, and both come out fairly quickly. Can get a little cramped with the small tables next to each other and the food is priced at a high price point, though the quality is great!
L. A.
Fantastic staff & great service, phenomenal food + extensive wine list = GOOD TIMES. Highly recommend.
T. Q.
Easy 5 stars. Went with the chef’s menu, every course was incredible, service was outstanding with a fantastic wine recommendation based on what I was feeling at the time.
D. F.
Spammer crab and duck breast to share…..delicious! Ask for some bread to absorb the left over sauce. The Hospitality of the staff os why these guys get the 5stars. I will be back
F.
Finally got to tick this little hidden gem off the list. Tasty yet salty. Nice place to eat by yourself. Burrata looked amazing on other tables. Amazing service by one guy, thank you very much.
P. U.
Nice ambiance, friendly staff, good food.
J. O.
Small but perfectly formed. Excellent food and more than interesting winelist. A gem.
J. Z.
Pasta was amazing! But you may feel like “the other” if you don’t dress or look like the rest of the clientele.
E. S.
Handmade pasta with unique and delicious sauces with excellent wine is what you’ll find at Ragazzi. Well worth a visit
C. C.
We had the tasting menu, and what amazing tastes and flavours. Especially loved the snapper crudo; burratta and peas. Wine menu is great plenty of wines by the glass so you can mix and match. We were so well looked after by the staff who manage to keep it casual and friendly, but we were so well looked after.
M.
Lovely little spot. Foods was good but not amazing (pasta was very al dente and protein alittle scarce). We felt alittle rushed 1hr 10mins to be exact, but enjoyed the atmosphere.
P.
Amazing feed as per usual from this little gem of a place!
E. L.
Had a wonderful time here with great food cooked simply. Wines paired up nicely and I look forward to coming again!
A. C. E.
Al dente pastas, seasoned well, and with some very clean, interesting flavor combinations. Could have been better if the pastas arrived a bit warmer. I couldn’t figure out why they got to the table at room temperature, when the kitchen was literally just 10 steps away. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal!👌🏼
A.
Scrumptious pastas, delicious wines and friendly staff in a cozy environment. Their dessert wine is a must try (an acquired taste but a few sips later you will be craving more!!) I heard they change their menus every month so i definitely will be back!
J. N.
Easily some of the best pasta I have had. Flavoursome sauce with perfectly al dente parpadelle. Dessert was relatively simple but tasty, honey pannacotta is definitely a winner.
F. L.
The menu at Ragazzi is decent and worth trying for first timers. Highlights of the night were the croquettes and the crab conchiglie.
However, as it appears respective to the opinions of other reviewers here is that the service and need to rush and finish your meal here is common. Although we were served by a seemingly approachable waitress, the last 15 minutes of our "1.5 hour booking" was as memorable as the croquettes and pasta.
My friend and I were enjoying our experience but was simultaneously interrupted by the staff who reminded us multiple times our booking was coming to an end despite us being noticed prior booking and earlier on at the night. The initially enjoyable experience became somewhat rushed and uncomfortable which is disappointing given the calibre of the food and previous reviews that have pointed out this blindspot.
With the various dining options to enjoy high quality Italian food/ pasta/ wine AND impeccable service available, I question whether I would recommend or return.
S. L.
Such a lovely experience! Staff were very kind and made the experience well worth it. The food was amazing in every way. Prices very reasonable. Looking forward to trying some new things when I return. I'd post a photo of the food but we ate it as it looked to good to wait.
s. l.
Service was great and the food was great! Tasted fresh too ☺️ thank you
J. C.
Great setting, good service, excellent ever changing menu. Comprehensive wine and spirits lists. Food was tasty and fresh. The chefs menu was brilliant. Every course was packed with flavour. All six diners agreed it was a great night.
C. S.
Food is always good, wine list is different and interesting, and the service is friendly. Inside can get noisy.
B. V. G.
Although limited menu, it’s good (just not great for diners with allergies). Pity the service was really average. Our party had someone with a dairy and gluten intolerance, which the restaurant said they could cater to. So when we quizzed about which items on the menu she could eat, the staff member rolled her eyes and only gave her one option in the main (no entree). The gelato was ok but being ushered out before our food was finished was not a great experience. Next time, I’ll prefer to buy their pastas from a stockiest rather than dine...but that’s just our experience.
V. H.
Excellent food on point pasta spot on serving sizes not to generous but still amazing
C. S.
Incredible food and 1st Class Service, always an amazing experience.
K. N.
Amazing dishes and great service. The $100 set menu left me in an awesome food coma state.
J.
Lovely little place, nice music and dimly lit atmosphere. You’re close to the table next to you but it’s kinda nice to see people having a good time given the recent circumstances. We went straight to the pastas and they were excellently al dente. Friendly wait staff who recommend a tremendous red wine and the prawn pasta which was a dark horse and our favourite in the end. Special mention goes to the pork and fennel sausage, delicious!
N. H.
Cozy Pasta & Wine bar. Pasta was delicious. Will return to try another dish.
B. L. d. J.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Will definitely come back.
M.
Simply great food and good vibes always guaranteed.
Important to book in advance
S. M.
I really like this place, although some of the pasta dishes are extremely small and light, so you need to order lots. I also like the tunes they play.
S. M.
Had the best time here, every dish was so beautiful and flavoursome.
The have an amazing wine menu, and the service is great with super friendly attentive staff. I can't wait to go back.
C. D.
Weekday lunch. Cool hole in the wall bar and restaurant. Decent Italian menu and a great wine list. Crab linguine was delicious with sauce to match. Croquettes also excellent. Only issues were waiters spilling wine on the table - not a big deal. The chef tasting the entrees and putting the spoon back in the food wasn't great and the cockroach across the table wasn't edible. Otherwise worth a visit.
B. R. -. A.
Outstanding service, as always.
Brilliant wine menu.
Delicious food.
E. E.
Ragazzi is great food. Been numerous times and never been disappointed. Good vibe too!
A. A.
I liked their spaghetti cacio e pepe, but the portions was a bit small and the pasta was undercooked.
However, my friend had the same dish as me and found that hers had less sauce than mine.
Some of waiters were quite unpleasant and the menu is a bit overpriced.
Overall, I would come here again to see if they’ve improved.
L. B.
Excellent food and even better service. I love the outside tables which catch some sun and a breeze for the summer.
K. P.
Oh my God!! What a find this little restaurant was. The most delicious pasta dishes I’ve had in a long long time. Extensive wine list! The staff are second to none. With the manager Brie being the standout! She was so knowledgeable in all things menu and wine related! She really made our time there very enjoyable! Don’t miss this restaurant but be warned. You need a booking!
E. J.
Had the most incredible food and wine at Ragazzi! The perfect little laneway Restaurant which feels like a hidden gem, but in the middle of the CBD. Excellent service, exquisite wine and the most amazing pasta!! Perfect for a date night or for an intimate dinner with friends - would highly recommend to anyone who loves Italian and good vibes 👌
D. G.
Now, this is the best pasta I have had in Australia. It is amazing, fresh, delicious , al dente - all of the above. The entrees also amazing, fresh and vary from other Italian restaurants. I have come twice now, the first time service and food was 10/10. The second time, which was not as busy as the first since it was lunch time - the service lacked. The wait between entrees and mains was 75 minutes - we then asked the waiter after waiting patiently if our food was coming. She scurried off to the kitchen and assured it was coming. A further ten minutes, and our 3 pastas were served - without an apology. I understand pressure but an apology is always necessary , as our order was lost. That is why you lose one star - hopefully I can return with 5 next time.
A. F.
Great service, great food. Every dish was wow.
K. D.
Absolutely delicious food! Couldn't recommend it more! Great vibe, brilliant service and a top selection of wines. Menu is really well thought out. The ravioli, anchovy toast and the fioretti were my favourites. Will be back 100%!
A.
Food was amazing, staffs were super friendly
Itd be good if the portion was a little more generous :)
It was that good 😌
B. R.
2 of us visited around 8pm on a Thursday night. It’s a small place so all the tables were full due to covid spacing. We were given the option to wait for a table or sit at the bar. We sat at the bar and were helped by a lovely bartender. He was helpful with wine recommendations for our meals. We had the home made gnocchi with burnt butter and truffle and the rigatoni. Portions are just the right size. Would definitely go back to try the other pastas. All of the staff were helpful and pleasant.
P. 1. S. i.
The food is great. service is average location fantastic. The look of the restaurant is not great. It's a shame that the whole package is not equal to the huge price of the meal because the food is excellent but very small portions which makes me conclude that I wouldn't go back
M. J.
Amazing experience!!! Usually when I go to an Italian restaurant i have trouble finding much on the menu as I’m Gluten Intolerant but the owner who was serving us was super helpful and they had so many options and amazing GF pasta which tasted fresh and was great quality. The wine was delicious and the vibe and little touches they had on the tables was lovely. I highly recommend this place.
L. H.
I found food and service quality and I'm not even that big a fan of Italian food.
h. S.
Cosy resturant hidden away, attentive staff and extensive selection of wine and in house made gelato.

This may be the best place to eat and drink in Sydney. Mind blowing pasta, decadent and intelligent flavours. An incredibly well curated wine list, which is as interesting and diverse as it is accessible. But first and foremost the amazing service. Everyone who works here is down to earth, knowledgeable, courteous to a fault and interesting. One of the few places in Sydney that manages is popularity (and the occasional lines that come with it) decently and sensitively.
C. D.
Perfect experience, fantastic food, would come back a million times over
A. G.
Food was okay but portions are very small. Cosy restaurant - do feel that the staff could be a bit warmer and more welcoming. Almost feels like you are being rushed out of the restaurant.

This little wine and pasta bar has some really good vibes! I really enjoyed sitting at the bar trying some of the amazing wines, cocktails and delicious pasta. David the bartender is lovely and has some great wine recommendations. The asparagus ravioli was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Music was the right amount of chill. Definitely returning with a group of friends for a long lunch many times over!
M. A.
I was going to order one dish but then noticed at the very bottom of the menu ‘let our chef choose for you’ well that peaked our interest and so we chose the option..boy oh boy we made the best decision and enjoyed every dish immensely!! Definitely recommend you try RAGAZZI coz you won’t be disappointed. Staff were very friendly and informative when asked a question. Thank you for a lovely experience for our palate!!! 👌👍👏
V. K.
The pasta is delicious and unlike anything. It was unusual to see lots of people ordering their classic pasta which is just olive oil and some cheese but even that is the best pasta I’ve ever had. Make sure you have the anchovy on bread. The wine list here is amazing and the atmosphere and vibe makes you want to stay all night long.
S. O.
First time trying this place after wanting to go for a while. It's better than expected. Only thing it needs is a better choice for non-alcoholic beverages for people who don't drink.
Y. X.
A place where you can spend 3 hours having great wine and amazing food! They are super catering for dietary requirements. I requested for vegan options. They gladly served me one of the best pasta dishes I had in my life! After my trip to Italy, I struggle to find a restaurant that offers similar experience as those in Italy. This restaurant definitely lives up to my hopeless expectations.
S. T.
Food was excellent, unique and delicious. Too bad the servers (particularly the lady that worked at the door) had the worst attitude. Never been served by more pretentious, rude and generally disrespectful people. Also eating behind the bar is not hygienic. Finally only order the hazelnut desert if you enjoy having your mouse drowned in pool of balsamic vinegar.
K. K. (. L. M.
The food, the wine, the service, the ambiance: all live up to the reputation garnered from their other Sydney venues, Love, Tilly Devine and Dear Saint Eloise. In other words, it is absolutely fantastic and I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is exceptional with fresh handmade pastas the star of the show. I loved the tagliatelle with sea urchin and blue swimmer crab, and the goat ragu. Large selection of fantastic wines and passionate service.
C. W.
Wonderfully delicious food in a fun and buzzy space. Everything we had was amazingly tasty. Mozzarella starter was a standout, as was the duck pasta. Can't go wrong with the short dessert menu, the lemon rosemary gelato was voted best at our table.
I am giving four stars and not five because the main course servings were disappointingly and noticeably small - small enough that people at our table felt hungry and ordered more. I hope this changes as the restaurant settles in!
Definitely worth going!
G. L.
Beautiful al dente pasta! Scallop crudo was the best in Sydney!
j. w.
Tasty Italian food with interesting twists, and a great wine list, with a prediction towards unusual Italians. Super friendly staff (I sat at the bar). I was lucky enough to be able to do a walk in on a Saturday night, but reservations are strongly recommend. A great find.
t. c.
Perhaps, the best pasta I have personally tried.
The staff was super accomodating and made the best suggestions for dishes and drinks.
Food was amazing and have already recommended to many friends
E. E.
The main meal was alright but desert was terrible, got the hazelnut and chocolate muse with brandy Snap, very blend flavour and no present Nicely, also finished with olive oil and balsamic vinegar? That doesn't work at all. The rotolo of beef cheak was very good and well presented. The ambiance is nice too.
P. O.
Where do I start, the food is amazing, the wine list is out of this world! the chefs all work with a smile and the place is extremely welcoming. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it couldn't have been a better dining experience. What a bunch of legends!
M. O.
Not good... excellent food. The entire experience was pleasing... great service, wine, food, atmosphere... If you have not visited and enjoyed, you must. We tried many dishes from the menu and wow, I was blown away by each and every one I tried... I will be going back again and again
M. M.
We had such a delightful experience with our meal here. Every pasta sauce was different and delicious.
And the ever-changing menu makes it even more exciting. You never know what you're going to eat :)
Will definitely be back!
G. R.
Delicious pastas, great wine list!
J. T.
Fantastic new addition to Angel Place. The team behind Love Tilly Devine and Dear Saint Eloise have continued their exceptional level of quality here. Wine list is outstanding and the pastas are top tier.
Perch yourself on a seat at the bar and enjoy the energy throughout the buzzing, cozy space.
S. M.
Full of buzz, incredible and original pasta menu, passionate chef, brilliant wines, gorgeous fit-out. You won’t find better service. I eat here once a week. Love Ragazzi.
K. H.
Amazing pasta, as to be expected from the Love Tilly Devine/Dear St Eloise guys
The restaurant is a little tightly packed, but great tunes and good vibes all night.
J. C.
We had a great meal at Ragazzi, lovely cosy atmosphere, our meals were all beautiful, great selection of beer & wine , easy going friendly team at the restaurant, open kitchen so everyone can see the theatre of cooking , a lovely place to go for out 24th anniversary.
M. M.
This new place is very cool, a tiny little wine and pasta bar, in Angel Place. Sit at the bar, take a table, kick back and enjoy the scene. Chef Scott Williams nails the fresh and changing menu with whatever his providors bring in that week. Wine list is extensive, interesting and well priced. All up, good value for money and a memorable venue.
R. I.
This place has quickly become one of our faves, have been here 3 times in the last 5 months and absolutely love it. Great dishes and drinks, knowledgeable staff.
P.
The food was overall really tastey. The mushroom dish was fabulous. The wait for food was a little on the longer side but we were there during peak lunch. The staff were nice and friendly.
J.
Fabulous pasta. We dropped by doe a quick lunch and we will definitely go back.
H. S.
Simple Italian dishes done exceptionally well!
V. W.
I can see why it's so popular. The food is just so delicious!
J. J.
Some of the best and unique Italian food I've had
J. C.
Incredible Italian in the heart of the city!
L. M.
Turns out we were missing a cheeky little Italian wine bar in the CBD. Sick natural by the glass list at good prices for the city- can’t wait to dive into the bottles next time (the list is HUGE). Snacks were on point (the anchovy toasts are officially THE snack of the summer) and the pasta is exceptional. Sausage and pipi pasta is a revelation. Planning to return pronto!
N. S.
Fantastic food! Had an anniversary dinner here with my partner. Entries were so delicious, mains spot on and hazelnut mousse and gelato to die for!
E.
Best pasta restaurant in Sydney. This cozy little eatery is unparalleled when it comes to their knowledgeable chefs, attentive staff and extensive wine list.
M. J.
I’ve never been to such an amazing italian restaurant! The most incredible experience I have had in the CBD. Service was impeccable, a diverse wine list, an absolute highlight was the cacio e pepe! Highly recommend, one not to miss!!!
K. N.
The buratta was Excellent and the ravioli was one of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely return to Ragazzi!
A. C.
Beautiful, intimate and delicious. No better place in the CBD for a sensational bowl of pasta and, in my opinion, the best wine list in Sydney.
A. K. D.
Great service, amazing food and drinks, catered well for vegans. Went in peak time for dinner, so understandably a little loud.
C. V.
Cosy & buzzing - loved this place. Scallop crudo & rotolo with goat were stand out dishes. Definitely going back. Make sure you book, it gets busy!
P. S.
Food and drinks were wonderful as always. Awesome place for date night, family meal, girls dinner or just for drinks.
S. W.
Went here for the first time the other day my partner and I loved it. It’s nice to see food of this quality in the city and the wine list was incredible. Will be back very soon.
S. E.
Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere
Our server Sara was really friendly and helped us select a great wine to go with the fantastic food
Highly recommend this place!
A. S.
Spectacular food!! Really nice staff & a great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
i.
Slick interior with an amazing wine list. Get the corner booth if you can. The corn honey ravioli was a surprise favourite. Itching to go back.
Z.
GET THE CANTABRIAN ANCHOVY WITH WHIPPED BUTTER ON SOURDOUGH. AND THE ROTOLO OF GOAT. IN FACT JUST GET ALL OF THE FOOD.
Ragazzi is a charismatic little Italian restaurant and bar with tables and chairs spilling out into ever improving Angel Place. This is the sort of polished, small scale, fine grain operation the Sydney CBD has been lacking. I will be back.
R. F.
Great place, best pasta bar in the city, Bree took really good care of us
J. R.
Every element was beyond lovely. The service, the food, the wine and the music. The atmosphere and ambiance were just perfect.
B. A.
High quality service and great food! Definitely met my expectations after seeing their Instagram. I plan to come back again.
R. C.
This place has really good pasta and good service. Only problem is the bowl of food is too small.
M. O.
Delicious seasonal pasta menu with a stellar wine list to match. Everything is fresh, unique and yum.
H. C.
Beautiful menu, pasta, wine and atmosphere. I'll be coming back and suggesting Ragazzi to everyone.
J. M.
Absolutely delicious! Great wine list, good buzzy vibe, great location. Best pasta in town!
F. F.
Finally something that’s not Merivale in town! Well thought out wine list, good selection of pasta (some classic, some more experimental) and good ambience! Well done.
P. G.
What a beauty of a place great food and wine !
T. K.
Food here is pretty good. However, food service may feel rushed from time to time.
B. L.
Food was top notch, nothing to fault at all really. Service was curt, but friendly overall.
P. G.
The food is fantastic but main portions are quite small, meaning you will likely need to order a few entrees $$$
A. Y.
Ciao Ragazzi!!! Not a single thing I can fault. From the fiano, trebbiano, to the corvina accompanied with anchovies on toast, asparagus, cacio e pepe, and the rhubarb gelato... You can't go wrong venturing down to angel place. Bravo.
K. M.
Great service, energetic, lively, cosy and, the wine list is super interesting.
H. V.
Nice food. Small portions. Ok service. Tight space.
A. M.
Amazing food and wine but the space is a bit too tight for a group booking.

One of the best restaurants in the CBD if not the best. Criminally tasty, service is great and the head chef is an absolute asset!

Love this restaurant. Great atmosphere to go along with delicious tasty food. On thé 2 occasions I have dined here I have needed bread to soak up the delicious pasta sauces.
Looking for an excuse to go back.

(Translated) The atmosphere, pasta, and wine are all three beats. It was full of young Australians whether it was a local restaurant. Young, trendy Australian men ask you to recommend Hago wine for everything from cooking to serving wine, and they will do so with a friendly description of the taste. Luckily, I didn't go in line right before dinner time, but there was quite a bit of waiting after meals.
(Original)

(Translated) A hidden place, but super cozy. good service .. polite people .. we ordered a tasty spaghetti. Few national wine options.
