Comments of Shinara BBQ Buffet
B. s.
It was a good feed! Friendly staff, variety of meat to choose and the wagyu beef is amazing. The whole family enjoyed their meal.
T. K.
Shinara is the finest Korean buffet restaurant in Sydney. They have a wide range of Korean food and the most impressive part is that they taste very good. For a buffet restaurant, they make a good quality Korean food. Highly recommend the chili pork ribs & sweet potato chips. They also let you create your own soup by offering the best Korean soup ingredients. You can also have Korean BBQ (dinner only) if you’re a big eater. For these reasons I give this place the 4 bears
Note: The lunch menu is better
S. B.
I've been to a lot of KBBQ places, it's 40 bucks for all you can eat but the quality of the meat just isn't there, meat just felt real chewy and didn't have a lot of flavour.
In terms of drinks I believe it was about 18 bucks for a bottle of Soju and for any of the soft drinks it's 5 bucks.
There are better places in the city however this is pretty good value for all you can eat just quality wise could be better. And drinks are way too pricey.
P. L.
Nothing fancy or special about the food. Good variety of meats. For $40 per person I think it's ok to try out this place if you look for quantity instead of quality. Keep in mind you can't stay over 90 minutes.
I.
Great quality meats and vegetables. Staff are great and straight to the point.
Tip - if you pay cash it's $35 rather than $39
Would recommend to anyone keen for alot of meat
R.
Good value for money. Prawns were good. Some of the marinated meat ones are tasty. Some other meats are chewy. Service was okay.
S. W.
Pretty good deal for 15 dollars all you can eat, the food is pretty good, but the drink has very limited choice. You can eat rice and Korean foods here such as Bulgogi, Korean chicken, kimchi, etc. Also you can enjoy the small hotpot that you can cook it yourselves, the pot is really small though, but the options for hot pots are pretty varied. The atmosphere here is quite cozy, the staffs also nice, but remember the time limit is 1.5 hours and you can't leave uneaten foods or else you can get fine. Didn't have time to take more photos here and never try other package, but the buffet are really worth it. 4 stars because the drink variation and some of the food tray are empty but not being refilled immediately, maybe because I coming here around 3 pm. Overall good and the place is really strategic.
M. Y.
The boss was quite responsible for customer hygiene, need to measure temperature before getting in, customer was also required to wear a glove when getting your food at the buffet. Price was reasonable for a lunch buffet. Has got plenty of selection of food, you can even have a mini hotpot meal too. Hope you keep up the quality and service. Will come back again.
C. E.
It's really worth your money. For $30 lunch all you can eat pork belly and other stuffs. I'm loving it. 😁
Will be back for sure.
D.
Amazing food for the money, the only downside is the drinks are very expensive, but it think it is to only help them break even by having the food cost down. Other than that very nice Korean BBQ, would go back!
D. F.
A great Korean barbecue buffet is the best value for money in the city centre.
In terms of ingredients: there are many meats available, including beef, lamb, pork and chicken. Seafood has green mouth, squid, octopus, shrimp. There are also many types of cooked foods, such as fried chicken, sauce bones, fried shrimp slices, and seafood soup.
Price: The price is very affordable, each person only needs 36 Australian dollars, it is suitable for a group of students or young friends to come to the party.
Environmental aspects: Because it is fast-moving self-help, there are many tables, small space, a lot of barbecue fumes, you need to pay attention to the clothes will have a taste.
Service: The waiter service is very enthusiastic, which is worthy of praise.
Generally speaking, it is a good place for meat eaters.
R. X.
A Korean BBQ place with a buffet for lunch. The great thing about this restaurant is that for lunch, the buffet price is very affordable at around 12$. The range of foods available are great for The price and there isn't a time limit to how long you are allowed to stay. Upon entry you will be given a choice between a few bases for the hot pot which you could eat on top of The buffet. And oh, there's ice cream.
In terms of The taste of food, I would still rank it at above average as they have great steamed egg and fried chicken wings. In addition they also have fruits cut and ready for those who are interested. Personally as someone who eats a lot per meal I would really get the bang for my buck here.
Verdict: a budget buffet in Sydney CBD that still provides decent food and dessert that is great for those who are looking for a huge meal at minimal cost.
E. L.
Went there for lunch. Large choices of hot food and cold food. 3 soups of hotpot to choose from. Clean and tidy. The food tastes very nice. Strongly recommended for group of people, good for kids as well.
M. R.
First impression it's a 5 star place, great variety of food, beef, pork, lamb and seafood.
There's a section where you cook yourself and a section where fried food is prepared.
Theres also a great variety of side dishes and sauces.
For drinks you can buy alcoholic drinks or drink for free: water, lime cordial or orange juice.
Unfortunately the ice cream machine was broken but at least they replaced it with ice yoghurt for the night which I accepted.
But on way home, I took out the yoghurt to have when I saw that the expiry date was 2 years ago and then I started to think, what else are they serving expires that can cause sikness?
Cost 32.50 for dinner on weekdays and 35.5 on weekends. Lunch is around 13-15 dollars.
Update: Can confirm no sickness or illness happened due to the yoghurt or the food which supports the claim of the product being the manufacturing date not expiry, however I do believe 2 years old is not something to be served.
Also I do agree with other reviewers about the 1.5h policy and the $15 waste food reminder at table, this leads to an unwelcoming service and needs to be adjusted.
But service in changing the grill was quick and nice, us 2 found 1h to be just sufficient but for more 1.5h might not be enough to cook everyone's food.
Upping the rating to 4 stars just short 1 star for the reason listed above.
G. T.
Amazing food so much variety! Was absolutely delicious I would return again! Only downfall was waiting 40 mins for our table but they were very busy!
L.
Ordered the pork bone soup, a bit tasteless (for me), probably need more flavour. But the tenderness of the meat is alright. Side foods like typical korean rest, but i like the flava chips, found it pretty tasty. We also ordered spicy squid (forgot to take pic) wasn't that bad at all but not the best.
K. B.
The buffet was ok plenty of food to choose from but the taste could be better. The marination of meat was not good and tasted average.
a. s.
To be honest I was bit worried as I read a lot of negative review. But I came to realise it's such a great place variety of dishes from starter dish to desert.....in just a reasonable price. My few concerns that was build after reading comments--
Yes u have to pay extra fee or your bill comes to table in 1.5hour...BUT
That is ONLY if restaurant is super busy and in need of tables... Well understandable
You could be FINED 15$ for leftovers... BUT again that's only if that's a pile of food that your throwing and every table have that notice attached. So OKAY
And I left few pieces and I wasn't charged. Confirmed. 🙏
r. j.
Price is good , service is a bit cold , and paying before you eat is very strange and also needing to get up every time you want another drink is not very good.
1.5hr time limit which is not enough, and even if you've stopped eating the BBQ is off no one is waiting for the table they still ask u to leave which I felt is a little rude.
Korean food but not Korean staff , and not the usual good Korean customer service that you get from other Korean restaurants.
But if you hungry and have 35$ in your pocket then it's a good cheap feed.
X. O.
Great location and fair price. The food is pretty good.. In my opinion wagyu is the best beef avaialble.
b. b.
It's extremely affordable at $33pp for one and a half hours buffet. There is a huge variety of meat (including seafood!) and side dishes and stuff available. Disliked that there are no exhausts above the table and while there is a huge variety of meat not all of it is high quality meat obviously. Still wouldn't mind coming here with friends though. It's pretty good for what you pay. And dont leave any food behind as there's a $15 penalty!
y. s.
Better quality than other buffet Super earnest workers They have from appetizer to dessert If u r not picky eater, wanna eat a lot n various go there n get some U dont know how can eat BBQ? Don’t worry they will let u know :)
D. C.
A nice friendly open venue. The kbbq all you can eat is really worth it. I loved the selection of meat especially the lamb and pork.
Best to eat with a group of 4-8 so you can all eat nice and close while still having two burners to work with.
The venue is not split bill so make sure to bring the correct cash when walking I to pay. You can pay for drinks is separately throughout the night at the front desk.
A. C.
The food generally is so good except for the sushi and fruits.
E. v. R.
Front desk could be better at splitting bills - food is good and quite tasty. Good atmosphere and a good night.
N. F.
Pretty decent all you can eat KBBQ place. It was $25 but surcharged for credit cards. Best to pay with cash. The meat was pretty good but there are definitely better. For the price it is good.
H. L.
Not bad for $15.9 lunch buffet, many choices
Y. Z.
Really Bad service!! We just turn on the stove for soup but the waitress ( short hair, I think she’s korean, wear pink jacket) turn off our stove 3 TIMES because she thought the soup will be flooded. We are regular here for years and we look after our food. We already told her to don’t worry to us but she kept coming back to turn off our stove. The other tables beside us like spoiled around theirs tables but she didn’t told them anything. She was very rude. We just want to have nice weekend lunch but she ruined it. Really really bad experience, lucky we still coming back because affordable price in sydney CBD for all you can eat restaurant. Good foods as well.
M. K.
We thoroughly enjoyed this place. The variety was extensive and we enjoyed great quality meat and seafood including tender and delicious wagu beef for a very low price of $30. If I lived in Sydney, I would definitely eat here frequently.
M.
All you can eat Korean bbq with huge range and a bunch of buffets choice price are 30 dollar Monday to Thursday 35 friday to sunday
T. P.
My favorite place for Korean BBQ Buffet in Sydney. It is worth trying if you are looking for a BBQ buffet. 35$/ per person with plenty of different meat choices: Chicken, pork, lamb, beef, wagyu beef. I am in love with their crispy chicken and crispy pork. It is fantastic and I always decide to come back more and more times.
E. F.
All you can eat, $32 on week evenings, 2 hours limit. Plenty of options, sea food available...
M. S.
Love Korean BBQ restaurants and this one is good value.
K. &. M. P.
Buffet for $13 what a heaven! Love the food, can stay there for hours without maksimum stay. Always comes home with smile and full. Hope that there is more branch in other town because I hate going to city, crowded city
A. S.
This is one of the best places to come with a group a large group. Food is amazing, atmosphere is warm and friendly. Overall this is a top spot in Sydney.
C. L. (.
Good value at $35pp all you can eat Korean BBQ. Has a good assortment of side dishes as well as other food like fried chicken, rice and soup. Water, cordial and fruit included too. They should've enforced the mask and gloves rule for patrons self serving at the buffet. So many just went back without ppe. But was satisfied. Pay cash to avoid surcharge. 90 min sitting time.
P. L.
Good buffet with amazing price for the lunch. I am satisfied with unlimited Korean fried chicken, kimchi and all other dishes. We are also welcomed to have hotpot there. It costs me 20$ in a fast food restaurant. But I can have a much better meal here for just 18$. It is a good place to visit.
J. K.
For the upped price for lunch, I would still definitely say that it is worth it. The fried chicken was still extremely crispy and the selection is quite nice for its price. However, I would recommend air fresheners or stronger air-conditioning near the entrance as the first scent that I got a whiff of felt slightly sweaty/musty. 4/5 stars from a fellow korean! <3
W. C.
Korean buffee restaurant with reasonable price $17.90, serves us various asian cuisine
P. N.
Amazing food, good vibes, friendly staff ! Definately will be back !
W. T.
It is a Korean bbq buffet restaurant. It is good value for the price. The waiters were nice. There was a variety of meat, cooked, uncooked, marinated and non-marinated to choose from, including prawns.
L. P.
My first time for Korean BBQ in the city of Sydney, it was great for Buffet, delicious and friendly staff.
Y. M.
Wagyu was really nice!
c. f.
The cost was good for what you get, especially in Sydney. $35pp for adults, $24 for a 9-year-old and $14 for a 5-year-old. I called to make a booking and she mentioned it was cash only, when I reconfirmed the morning of the booking, she mentioned again it was cash only. This was fine as we had been given plenty of notice. They took our temperature on arrival and asked us to wear gloves when we touch the shared tongs. You also had to sign in (online) for COVID-19 tracing purposes. The restaurant was not busy when we had arrived (5pm booking on a Saturday, this is also when dinner service starts), we got straight into it. The variety of meat was good, and the hot food and salad section was also ok. The downfalls were, they had run out of fried rice and took 20mins for it to be replenished. There is no dessert option, at a Korean Bbq I had always gone to in the CBD they at least had a small glass freezer with ice cream in it (with choc or strawberry sauce on the side). The staff were friendly, although we didnt really interact with them other than when we paid or when they came to change the hotplate. Overall, was a good experience.
A. G.
Wow very good quality meats and suprisingly tasty ready made food as well! $34.99 Sunday dinner after 5pm
I think it was $17.99 before that? Not sure
Maybe have some drinks before. Soft drinks are pricey at $4 bucks each and if paying by card so many surcharges which sucks.
Very nice
R. Y.
It is a cheap and clean buffet. It is simply you get what you pay for. They abide towards the covid rules, has a good ammount of options in their buffet. A little dim for my liking but its a pretty good place to have a cheap meal
J. T.
Great selection of meats, only seafood is baby octopus and calamari
I. Y.
Quality of Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Beverage Variety: 3/5
These guys ae so strict on covid safety for their buffet lines, 1.5 meters apart and must gp up in face mask and gloves.
Services was prompt and they dont charge for grill/mesh swapping like some japanese BBQ do
They so affordable and food is so good, ima gonna take my mum there for her to try it out
S. P.
Been here quite a no. of times both lunch/dinner in the past but this most recent visit was average. Price has shot-up from $29.99 to $32.99 (dinner) but meat quality is so so... No Lamb was a disappointment being a KBBQ!
However, can be quite busy & has a wait list to pay & to be seated during peak dinner time. Heads-up as only 1.5hrs granted for the meal with no split bills & added surcharge for card payment as well as food waste.
C. A.
I went here for lunch and it was pretty average. I've eaten in quite a few korean restaurants and I would say even though the food was just average, the price makes up for it. Although it was quite dark inside, and you had to choose what food to grab because some were really not that good.
V. C. M.
If you are really hungry and want to eat excesive amount of food come to this place! But if you want to live a nice and calm dinner experience I would not recommend it. The place is very simple looking, too crowded, it has a really low ventilation and space and you need to stand up constantly and do a line for the buffet in a limited space, so it can be overwhelming and exhausting to eat here. Food is not bad though.
J. J.
It's a nice place to enjoy Koran BBQ. The price is reasonable and there are variety meat and sea food.
S. S.
It was a great place to enjoy Korean BBQ with friends or family.
a.
We had dinner there tonight, excellent quality of food and you can go back as much as you like. Don’t know how you guys can do it for only $35. Staff were friendly and food was so tasty. Can’t wait to come back again.
K. D.
The food was amazing, it was my first time trying a Korean BBQ and I was impressed by this place. The buffet system made me overeat but the taste was worth it. You also have options of exotic food items such as squid and octopus at this place. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
You won't regret going to this place.
A. Z.
I don’t understand why there are negative reviews on here. My husband and I love this place! Good variety and amount for the cost. Great place to bring friends and BBQ together! Planning to bring friends from out of town here soon.
E. G.
Overall experience was fine. Good atmosphere and nice-ish food. Staff could be friendlier. Say they take cash only but they actually accept card too (although there is a surcharge). Prepare to wait even if you have a booking.
D. A. B.
The food is very nice with a very reasonable price. The location is also very accessible. There is only 1 thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable, The front desk/ cashier girl. She is unfriendly at all. I asked if we can pay in 2 separate payments and the manner of her response is not accommodating at all. There were 4 of us and I asked the other waitress if we can be seated in a bigger table with 2 burners since we paid separately, the lady in the cashier went to us and told us that we can't.. I was okay with that, what was not okay is her manners. The rest of the staff are polite though.
J.
I liked the service, not rude but not interruptive at all. The meat was okay quality and the lighting is nice and dim :)
a. d.
$13 is very a good price for buffet in city! Really recommended!
P. P.
Loved it! We went there quite late but we were stuffed by the end. They give you 1.5 hours to complete your meal and it's complete buffet style. What I loved most is that they charge you an additional $15 if you waste food which is awesome. I think more restaurants should inculcate this so that there's lesser wastage. They have a beautiful variety of meats and hot meals as well.
O. L. R.
Very affordable Korean Buffet restaurant
G.
We went there just after 5pm so we paid the dinner rate for the all you can eat option (30$ each instead of 13$). The meat is great and super tasty. The buffet is well done, plenty of choices but most of the food looked like it was sitting there for ages. It was cold and dry. And I wish the tap water bottles were at least top up, ready to be bring to the tables: I can understand it's a self service buffet but have to fill up your own 1L bottle is a bit too much. Anyway the overall experience was good.
R. K.
(Dinner BBQ Buffet) Don't listen to all the bad reviews! The staff were busy BUT they DO take time out to serve you, almost always automatically. We never had to call for help or service to change hotplates or have our plates taken away. The buffet selection was wide and varied, and the place was clean (unless oil started splashing from the cooking but OF COURSE IT WILL). The price is amazing for the amount you get. It's definitely an experience, highly recommend.
J. M.
Great to go eat with friends! We just get the all you can eat purchased separately. They don't do split bills but as you pay upfront it's easier to do as separate transactions. Great food and good atmosphere
C.
Good location and price for a variety of meats and already pre cooked meals. Friendly and helpful staff. The team does Hotpot during the lunch period and for dinner is the KBBQ . Not too noisy for the environment would recommend for a small group of friends as a local meet up place.
C. N.
It's great food for your money ($35 ish per person for ayce)!! Lots of seats so you won't need to wait in long queues. Heaps of choices of meat, sides and salads to pick from so you won't be bored of eating the same thing. I come here once in a while and definitely will keep doing so :)
y.
Lunch is hotpot, half price of $32.9 weekdays BBQ dinner (more variety of meats plus prawns, mussels, squids & etc).
Best deal in Sydney Town Hall.
Other Korean BBQ, one dish is around the price of this 'All-U-can-Eat'. So entrée, drinks (from concentrated), side dishes, fruits & salad come as bonus.
Unexpectedly, on 31Dec, it provided expensive cherries during the continued Australian drought, with the same weekdays price.
Highest cost performance ratio.
J. G. (.
Good food and a lot of choices for only $13 all-you-can eat lunch.
A. N.
The BBQ buffet is around $35 at the dinner time. Meat and vegetables are basically fresh. Service staffs are attentive and friendly.
J.
Not bad, good size.
G. I.
It's the best!! Love this place will come back again! Staff were attentive and very accommodating! I ate so much I almost rolled out. Simple tip for this place don't overload your plate and eat only what you can so as to not waste food. Packed out night but we had a booking so book ahead to avoid the line at the door...
S. d.
It's cheap, yummy buffet lunch with Korean hotpot as main attraction. There are many selection of Korean dishes plus soft drink and soft serve ice cream for dessert. The hotpot soup base has three different style. I prefer the pork base one. They will charge you $15 for food left over. So don't be greedy. There is surcharge for debit or credit card. Lunch open 11 am and there is limited time to eat. Mon-Thurs lunch is under $20
O. O.
a Good value for buffet. get whatever you want here. there are wide range variety of meals to choice. i loved the spicy pork bulgogi. you can also make your own hotpot here with ingredient that you of your choice. went there on weekend paid 17 bucks for this buffet. if you are a big eater, this place is a must for you.
C. (.
I used to love this place pre-covid, i came here not realising its no longer kbbq
Not sure i enjoyed the exp especially when repairs was being done in the corner of the restaurant.
But besides that a decent price for the decent selection of food and esp. now thats its hotpot.
M. L.
Went for lunch buffrt. For the price and the food available is pretty decent. You can create your mini hot pot with 2 different soup base. Kimchi or just plain chicken soup and toss in whatever veggies or meat that tickle your fancy. They also have fish, but no octopus or squid. Still pretty decent for the price. They have good selection of veggies too.
K. C.
I haven't visited here for dinner yet but I had the $12 buffet lunch and the choices were great for the price. The place was a little busy for a Sunday but that's what you get for the price. Next time Ill try the full Korean BBQ dinner when I get the chance. Nothing spectacular just a few bits of rice chicken and potato but a good value meal for anyone looking to eat a LOT on a budget.
s. a.
Attended here as a work outing with around 20+ people and the service was great as they constantly checked up on us to make sure everything was fine. Their selection of food was decent and mainly consisted of beef, pork, chicken, and some seafood. The place itself was a bit small to be honest but it was fine for the night as there werent too many people there.
R. H.
The weekend prices went up to 17.90 per person. The door was alright not a lot of variety other than hot pot ingredients. Previous comments said there was ice cream here for dessert. They did not have that anymore.
M. M.
Delicious food and variety of Korean dishes and drinks, great vibe, friendly stuff. I highly recommend it. Please keep in mind that they don't do split pay and reserve in order to avoid the waiting line. It's very popular so the wait takes around 15mins other then I highly recommend it.
h. X.
Good enough if you trying to fill yourself up. BRING CASH WITH YOU
G. R.
Delicious food and plenty of it, Korean BBQ style but OMG when your 90 minutes is up you've got to get out ... after some very unsubtle prompting by staff!
E. W.
They’ve improved a lot since last time I came. I went there for a lunch hot pot. There were more selections of food and the quality wasn’t too bad considering the price. The soup was the hi-light. I mixed kimchi soup and soy soup together and it was amazing!
A. B. c.
Wow lucky we booked the place for 13 pax on a monday evening , got there at 630 and in a matter of minutes the place filled up ...great value for money....staff very helpful.. we had a great time
J. O.
Good selection of meats and pre prepared foods. The slow cooked beef shin was so yum. $35 for all you can eat for 1.5hrs
K. M. (. K.
Lunch Buffet is a solid option. Recent renovations, maybe new management? But food quality has improved. It is good buffet food. The hot pot buffet is great, wish they had more sauce options! But the hot plate foods are very good. The Korean Fried Chicken is pretty good. i am doing Keto recently and there are plenty of options here for Keto. For everyone else, the ice cream machine is nice, and they also have a couple of kool-aid beverages and on tap too. $15.90 for lunch buffet.
G. C.
Great place for cheap korean barbecue, may not have the best quality of meats but definitely an bang for your buck if you are looking for a all-you-can-eat restaurant. I often come here with friends and it's great for groups. Would reccomend if you feel like eating a lot for the night!
P. N.
Value for money, all you can eat buffet. Drinks you pay upfront. We had our hot plate change three times. There isn't an exhaust suction chimney that you pull down like other korran bbq restaurant, but surprisingly wasn't smokey. They didn't have any ice cream, instead a packet of frozen yogurt that you would normally see children consume.
B. M.
Was a good experience, the meat wasn't of the highest quality and the cash only rule is very outdated, especially in the city.
Reasonable pricing and good selection to choose from though.
P.
Me and the family really enjoy this place. Someone who is always looking for value, this place is a great way to experience Korean BBQ without throwing your whole days worth of pay away. Dinner mostly recommended as it's the experience your looking for right.
C. C.
Very affordable buffet/all-you-can-eat option in the city!! The price here is a lot cheaper thank other KBBQs in the area and if you go with a group, you'll end up saving even more. Not the biggest selection of food and meat quality was average but definitely worth the price you're paying for.
A. Z.
Went there for hotpot lunch - moderate choice of variety, but had both seafood and meat. As usual, drinks are quite pricey.
The premises themselves could do with a bit of a makeover.
Very friendly staff.
B. L.
This is a fair enough place if you want a cheaper eat and you like the idea of a buffet. As far a Korean food goes it's not the best compared to other offerings on Pitt Street like Naru-One or Madang, but it was fine for a meal with students who don't have a big budget when I went.
S. K.
Amazing food selection Monday to Friday, buffet price is so cheap but quality price. Also, one person serve welcome. No time limit, hungry people come and enjoy~~
M. F.
Although known for being average quality, price was its main attraction for patrons. Unusually quiet rather empty on this sunday lunch, the weather and increased in prices might have a factor here
B. B.
Food choices are getting improved and most of foods' taste are great. Owner seems not happy all the time though. Maybe very tired at work??
By the way, I can recommend this place, and you won't regret for this decision!
N. A.
Very good range of beef but would be better if they had more seafood. Really good service.
A. L.
Although the all you can eat selection is decent and the marinated beef in particular was very tender, the one and a half hour limit was a bit annoying. Completely understand why they have it given the busy location in the CBD but we didn't really appreciate the multiple reminders that we were on the clock even though we left on time. We also found tiny bugs in the lettuce during our visit in the summer.
Z. N.
One of the cheapest all-you-can-eat places around, only $13 at lunch. Dinner costs double, but you get Korean BBQ then and not just the buffet. Perfect for a pig out session.
N. V.
I just want to put it out there that this place is definitely worth a try. The buffet had a good variety, the service was fine and my plate was clean. I read the reviews and nearly didn't go, but I am glad I did. A nice night out to try something different. Don't forget the coconut icecream to wash all the meat down with at the end. I'll be back and so will my friends.

You get what you pay for. If you're just there for BBQ no worries $35 done and dusted and you leave with a tight waistband =p
Drinks aren't cheap would be the only comment I'd add but they gotta make money off me somehow and it isn't from the food that's for sure XD
H.
The quality of food is what you are paying for. Not good not bad. They have signs everywhere including one on your table to warn their $15 fine for wasting food.
A. F.
An unpretentious good time. All you can eat, buzzy atmosphere and the food is great, even if I did cook it myself. Highly recommend the bulgogi pork and the marinated baby octopus.
K. M.
Have come here a lot and will continue to do so! Kbbq is always fun with a big group or with just one other person.
The food selection has been changing over the past year, some for the better but I miss the spicy octopus.
Lately the staff have become a bit more pushy with changing the grill every 5minutes, that's my only complaint.
Z. W.
A decent Korean BBQ experience. All you can eat, with a decent spread of meats and sides. Very crowded for dinner. Sadly cash only, and no split bills - so bring along what you need
D. T.
Food is awesome! Workers are nice, and entry is affordable. The selection of food is large and interior decoration is great.
Highly recommended for groups of people or solo dining for a low price.
F. W.
the lunch price went to again. It used to be $13, now they charge $18. More food option for hotpot but really, for working lunch, who has that time for hotpot.
V. M.
Love going to Shinara for KBBQ, you're not burdened with having to pay for specific plates of meat/dishes and can cook whatever you want, when you want. They have a huge selection of uncooked and cooked meats, as well as sides, sauces and dessert.
Recommend going in groups of 3 or 4 as it's really easy to fit.
U. “.
the place that offers the best value for money. their buffet has quite a range of korean dishes, including salads, soups, stir fries and so on. the staff are quite friendly and quick to fulfill your requests. as i remember their lunch buffet was around 10 dollars and dinner, which includes korean bbq around 22 dollars, which is quite affordable. would definitely recommend you to check it out
A. m.
Chicken was great, however, i was quite surprised to see a soup pot set up instead of a grill in the centre of our table.. also there wasn't any raw meat for us to Kbbq. Everything was already cooked. Nonetheless the ice cream was extremely DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend for students on a tight. 😬 It felt like a korean potluck.
R. S.
Good for a weekday lunch ($14pp), as opposed to dinner ($30pp) which will be a little expensive for the selection available. Reasonable selection to choose from in traditional Korean food. If you have two in your party you can have a "hot pot" with either kimchi soup, soya soup, or a meat broth.
P. P.
All you can eat buffet service available for $17. The place maintains good hygine and the staff are very helpful.
G. I. (.
The guy at the front desk can take it down a notch. But u kno asians especially old people. Im Asian, i can say it. But there’s a lot of variety in bbq options. You dont even have to tell the guys to change the plate, they have a sense when to change it. Good food and good service.
J. W.
Awesome food and great selection. The lighting in the restaurant could be brighter however
J. C.
My partner and I like to come here for a casual lunch (their lunch buffet is $15.8 during week days now). No time limitation, and they serve fruits and ice cream as well, it worth for the price.
M. S.
The first time I went to this place a few years back it was dark and dodgy, and it's less dark these days.
Probably one of the best all you can eat places to gorge yourself full of animal meat of questionable orgin, marinated in korean juices.
Best time to eat at this joint is during weekdays evenings, it is cheaper than weekends.
Ensure you sit next to the meat section, which is also close to the tiolets as well. Saves you time for cooking them meats.
장.
Nice fresh meat & well hygienic place.
Decent price for all you can eat!
K. W.
Every time we visit i get the feeling that this place does not have the best hygiene, cold fridge, warm hot food bar.
But nevertheless always end up eating more than i should i myself. I love the beef ribs, and chicken. Its so nice.
I recommend getting the sesame oil and peanut butter sauce.
I don't recommend of the the food in the hot food bar, unless they are bringing it out fresh from the dodgy back kitchen.
Salad bar is okay.
When it is not busy the disregard the time limit of 90 minutes. It is the best if you can goto a day without time limit.
S.
Good place for all you can eat. A lot of different meat and vegetable. However, it's worth to go for lunch time as it's half price.
T.
Mad $16 buffet for Lunch. Decent range for Hotpot and side Mains! Enjoyable Desserts too! Fruits & Sweets
D. L.
This place is a gem. All you can eat buffet just for $15 during lunch with wide range of dishes to choose from. A must go place in townhall.
K. K.
Cheap all you can eat buffet Korean bbq is not something you usually go to and usually cheap places with buffet or all you can eat have lower quality ingredients for you to cook from.
This place is quite ok considering its cheap price. The price is cheap being $21 for dinner and being able to eat as much as you can but with a time limit of how long you can stay (during busy periods). I have been here a few times in the last couple of years and recently a few weeks ago. When I go here I think it's usually packed even on a Monday night.
The food they have here are good enough and good for the price you pay. And of course it will depend on how you cook it as this is a bbq place. I find the quality of the meat and seafood quite good but you would get better quality at other bbq restaurant. The grapes they have are good as I ate a lot of grapes after having enough meat and seafood.
You would come here if you want to eat a lot and to pay cheap price for bbq. If you want better quality ingredients to cook from, you would go to other non-buffet places or to more expensive all you can eat bbq places.
S. F.
All you can eat korean bbq buffet - note that you need to go in the evening for the meat buffet as they serve a hot pot buffet during the day. Great value for money but expect a queue if you head here on a weekend
Z. P.
Good for the price if you eat a lot. Bring friends to eat and avoid left overs. The selection of meat could be improved but good value.
A. L.
Foods are good and place is almost perfect. Its just too hot seems like A/C is off. Uncomfortable to eat.
A.
The best value for KBBQ - come here if you want a good all you can eat option that wont hurt your bank !
M. B.
Experience was amazing!! Great atmosphere. Great staff.
We wanted chilli and we got it!!
Owner was so nice. Amazing place!
J. H.
Quality is decent considering it’s $32.9 for all you can eat BBQ. Soju is a bit pricey though else I recommend!
K.
$30 for an all you can eat KBBQ experience, can't complain. The meats and sauces are good, very tasty stuff. You don't feel like absolute crap after which is usually a good thing because it means the meat didn't come from a defected animal or left there by the previous tenants.
Only issue is their variety, could do with a bit more varieties of sauces and meats. They should really think about replacing some of their already cooked menu with other meats I.e. maybe get rid of random dishes like... i don't know, wedges for more varieties of chicken. Don't get me wrong i am not a hater of the wedge but that is a random item to have next to your Bulgogi and Beoseot gui (thanks Google).
M. L.
I love meat and here you can eat plenty of good cuts in large quantities for a reasonable price. - 1 star for forcing you to eat up the food to avoid surcharge.
F. S.
Great selection of all you can eat. Fantastic. Just wish there was ice cream to finish. But only 90 minutes to cook and eat.
J. M.
Good korean bbq place! They got nice soju as well. Staff are friendly. Ambience is good. Food is good too! My friends and I have been here two times and we like it!
J. s.
Good value for the price. Variety choices of food. Many types of meat. Soup and desert included. Only drinks are extra. Very good for group.
H. A.
Wide range of bbq meat and buffet dishes at an affordable price, will recommend going during lunch when they are not too busy.
B. J.
$35 per head. Eat for 90 mins. Every choice of seafood, meat, salads, vegetables and fruit.
P. B.
Not the greatest quality but exceptional value for the price- but keep note that there are no exhaust vents above the grills so your hair will probably smell of meat when you're done
F. W.
Great place for an all you can eat korean dinner bbq buffet. Good food & atmosphere.
Only downside is that it can seem a bit cramped inside when near capacity.
R. N.
Good quality Korean BBQ buffet. The meat is excellent/ above average quality.
Also has a selection of fruits and also a soft serve machine
C. S.
Went there for lunch. Delicious buffet, wide range of choices, moderate price. Enjoy the experience there! Only thing that is missing maybe beverage.
L. A. C.
always love it to have my lunch in here. with only $15-$17 all you can eat and drink. my fav place to dine with my fam or my self👍🏻
J. H.
Good place for your kbbq cravings. Ignore the side dishes as they're horrible but the meat was nice.
A. C. S.
$13 for lunch and eat as much as you can. Good food but I wish it has more selection food for vegetarian. So far so good.
R.
Reasonable price. food quality is not bad. I've been there 6times over 2 months. some of times makes feel uncomfortable after dining.
B. L. d. K.
Good value, great food, good for groups but a bit annoying you need to keep going to the counter to get beers and very hot inside when is busy (I was there on Friday night)
M. F.
Wide variety of food, value for lunch, but very strict with time limit. Ambience too dark to my liking.
M.
Expensive. quality is just so so. I think the ingredients are something cheap things. But if you wanna experience Korean thing, it can be good starting point.
R. L.
The price is very good, service is fast. Would recommend, been here a couple of times already.
J. K.
Great lunch spot. All you can eat is awesome, good value. Food is fresh, can be a little crowded though as you can expect.
H. L.
Good price, food is okay but fruits were not fresh, limited dessert. Good for groups.
K. V.
I had great times here during uni back in 2012, it was a pleasant surprise to see the renovations since and how much it's grown over the years.
Defs would recommend again!
E. S.
Cute & funky. Only good if you want to go eat buffet but its pricier now than it used to be & not sure its actually worth the money now😕
S.
overated, price is only fair for lunch deals, get there early for the good stuff like fried chicken and sushi.
A. M.
Awesome food & the price is good.
However, u need to put the stronger AC.
M. K.
Pay 15 and it's all you can eat buffet. Heaps of vegetarian options, also meat lover options. Fresh and clean!
C. M.

B. S.

Value for money, friendly staff.
Clean toilets.
Free soft serve ice cream too. Yumm..
B.
Decent pricing of 32,90 during the week for unlimited KBBQ for 1,5 hours. Food was okay, nothing special
A. J.
If you want to try many different type of Korean food! This is the place to go.
The table and atmosphere is not the best but food is good!
S. L. K.
Good for the money you pay. You know it is not top class Korean food. However worth a visit or two.
A. M.
For the price, definitely worth it. Lunch time buffet is $15.90 which is great value for money.
C. T.
best buffet in Sydney
C.
Good for a cheap lunch buffet. For the price, all you can eat hot pot is not that bad
A. C.
If you're looking for something cheap and not too picky for the food quality, this is the place for you. Nice and big space enough for 20+ groups, a huge variety of food selection.
G. D.

J. W.
Foods are great, so many choices with reasonable budget around $16 for lunch and $35 for dinner!
D. H.
