A very handy store located on the Hawkesbury River. The store also offers a pontoon - located across road - for customers to park their boat and/or sit down and eat their meals. The store is also a post office that sells alcohol. My wife bought a takeaway coffee at the store. There are COVID-safe policies in place at this store. The staff member who served us was very friendly. #Spencer

How awesome is it to discover an 'old school' village store that still sells old school hamburgers at old school prices! There is so much to like about the Spencer Village Store - especially for those of us old enough to remember our local corner stores. This is our regular pitt stop when riding across to Wisemans Ferry from the Central Coast. The staff are always welcoming and go out of their way in their customer service. Highly recommend any of the burgers washed down with a cold drink and beautiful views of the river. If you're going past, do stop!

The peaceful town of Spencer, on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, claims to be the "Hub of the Universe." That is very true on weekends as the winding Wisemans Ferry Road is a motorcycling delight. And the Spencer Village Store is where many stop to refresh themselves and taste the "best burgers on the river." The staff are really friendly and my "Spencer Dog" (got dog) was very tasty. This location is also known as "Dunkirk Hotel" and there is a sign hanging from a tree opposite the Store. The owners told me that the sign was found floating in the river and was hung on the tree. That was how the Store got the unofficial name of "Dunkirk Hotel" as they serve alcohol.

Absolutely loved my time here. Atmosphere was super relaxing. Great menu, nice cozy little dining area, great variety of items in the shop including icecream. First time visit a road trip in the car was done but the second time around, a boat was used for convenience. The burger was so good we used the boat to reach faster. The people who served us were so remarkably friendly and helpful with such a genuine spirit. Definitely one of my favorite countryside spots.

Sad to read of others poor experience. We had great friendly service and a good feed. Cream tea for $9 ~2 homemade scones with cream n jam and a pot of tea. Burgers were good value too.

Old-school Village Store with great bacon & egg rolls plus coffee. It is said that the owner can be temperamental, but we've never had a problem - he's friendly and the food (and coffee) is good. Popular stop for bikers and travellers.

Outstanding service with a prime location and decent hot food. Stayed there last week and was extremely impressed with the services. Had a chat with the lady behind the counter and told her we were going fishing. She went out the back and gave us some free burley, and gave us some tips. Andrew and his wife are wonderful, warm people. My husband and I have been visiting for six years since our honeymoon, the birth of our daughter and anniversaries. This place and the people are part of our family. The food, the atmosphere, the river and the feeling is something I treasure. If you want relaxation and a welcoming experience, visit Spencer. The chef is the friendliest and experienced man who prides himself on excellent food. We will keep coming back just for the atmosphere. Love everyone in Spencer. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place.

Spencer Village Store, is a nice place to stop when your out for a niceriver drive along the Hawkesbury. They have a range of food to choose from along with drinks, the staff are wonderful and very welcoming. My wife, Coco and I had a nice relaxing stop here.

Glen is an absolute legend. Happily made us 12 coffees, 2 days in a row. Gave us some free bait and fishing tips for the local area. Dropped in the other day and chose a Mex hamburger, very tasty. Great coffee. Sit by the Hawkesbury river and chill. Dropped in again in July My mate and I do a regular mid week motor bike ride and Spencer Village store is a stopping place. The ambience is perfect, with locals coming and going, other bikes stopping and plenty of chat. Our Chicken burger with salad and mayo was mouth watering and the long black coffee was exceptional in flavour, and organic as well. The place is a little rustic, has character and it is just the place where you can have a great chin wag. Worth while stop Prices great.

This made a bog standard weekend on a house boat completely worth it. Wandering in off the road we were greeted warmly like old friends. We were shown the menus for lunch but started with some really well priced beers and bubbly across the road at the world famous Dunkirk Hotel, which is a must visit venue (mvv). We ordered burgers and moved to the beer garden on the jetty, adjacent the sign indicating we were at the hub of the universe and we really began to realise they are right! Our burgers came - between us we ordered a great cross section of the menu and we were each of us blown away. They were just fresh honest burgers packed with flavour squeezed into soft and tasty buns. Our burgers were brought over the road to us as well, each interaction with the staff made us feel so welcome. Make a point of getting here for a sunny lunch!
