5 stars for our server Umut! Friendly and attentive. We brought flowers for the birthday girl and Umut brought out a vase and water to keep the flowers fresh. It was a coldish night and we were seated outside because we were a party of 13. Outdoor seating wasn't as comfy or purposeful and furnishings could be improved further - in that sense I would suggest only medium sized groups so you can be seated inside. Food was nice too but note that large groups get a limited menu.

Excellent spot for brunch with great ambience and quiet atmosphere for conversation. I loved the beef short ribs (with cabbage & brussel sprouts) and would definitely recommend trying this! The sauce was the highlight of this dish! 🤤🤤 As a group of six, my other friends enjoyed their crab omelette, rump & sweet potato fries, pork katsu burger & chips. However, two whom ordered the moreton bay bug & pipi spaghettini were a bit disappointed by the lack of flavour in their dish. On another note, the selection of ordered drinks which included coffee frappe, iced matcha, chai and cappuccino, were all great and “hit the spot”. I would love to come back and try more meats from the butcher’s selection.

I went here for breakfast with my dad and sister, who brought her dog so we sat outside. The staff provided excellent service, they gave us blankets to help counter the wind and even brought some water for the dog to drink. The food was great, my poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I'm a preferred tea drinker which I didn't find anything on the menu I was in the mood for so I took a chance on my first coffee in years which was a cappuccino and it was really good too. A little on the expensive side but I was happy to pay for the service and quality we got this morning. Thank you.

The Butcher’s Block was a pleasant surprise. I was in Barrangaroo on a Saturday night and didn’t have a reservation but they were quick to find me a table and their service was exceptional. The food choices on the current menu all looked good. We had the scallops to share as an entree which tasted phenomenal; you have to try them with the crispy rice crackers. I then had the barramundi which was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with lovely colourful vegetables. We also ordered the fatoush salad to share which was fresh and delicious. My husband enjoyed his steak before ordering a couple of the desserts. It was hard to choose because they all sounded amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the ones we ate and will definitely be back to try the rest.

Fab meal. Sashimi was interesting.. maybe too sweet by the end. Would have loved to see this with more of a ceviche style dressing. The tuna cut across the grain looked pretty but made it a little chewy. The eye fillet was divine. Beautiful Shiraz too. Great sides and well thought out menu. Super lovely staff and great service. Overall experience was okay. I would give 3.5 stars if I can. Ordered the chocolate chip pancake, was a cake in the pan, some chocolate chips and half of the banana on top. I had my 40th birthday dinner here last night and it was amazing!!! We had a table of 13 and the staff were just so attentive to everyone and tried to ensure our night was easy and stress free. The food was incredible and every single person loved their food. The steaks were all cooked to perfection. I had the salmon and it was the best salmon I've ever eaten. Love this place and all of us will be back!!

The only disappointing aspect was dessert, a mixed opinion from ok to terrible. If you could get dessert right offering a couple of really good desserts and scrap the display options this place would get 5 stars.i will be back for the mains but not dessert.

My new favourite dinner spot near the CBD! The Butcher's Block used to be my favourite cafe when I lived North of the bridge so I was ecstatic to hear that they opened a restaurant in Barangaroo! After visiting for dinner, I can safely say that I love it even more than their original location. Everything we ate was absolutely divine and prepared with so much thought. Highlights for me were the silky smooth duck parfait with a sweet and savoury bacon chutney and house pickles (one of the BEST I've ever had – and I've had a lot!!), the lavish beef tartare with quail egg and caviar and the melt-in-the-mouth tender ribs. With my dinner I enjoyed a wonderful glass of Chianti Italian red wine – highly recommended and I can't wait to go back here!

Former Butcher shop now a farm to table cafe In the north shore suburb of Wahroonga The Butcher’s Block is a cafe that’s serving the community an impressive breakfast and lunch six days a week. Formerly a butcher’s shop for more than 70 years, its customers are now getting their brekkie and lunch fix. Plenty of packing nearby, backing onto a carpark. This restaurant is really long, so plenty of tables, also the staff are super attentive. What to order: Crab omelette spanner crab meat, chili masala, apple, celery, soft herb and sourdough - this was delightful, with a kick! I loved the freshness of the salad on the side especially with dill, big fan of salad for brekkie

A favourite of mine is now at Barangaroo and I was so excited to try their new venue out! Located along Barangaroo Avenue, their vibes are rustic and casual. A stunning place for a mid week pick me up, which is exactly what we were enjoying! Getting to taste a selection of their share plates and entrees, I was really impressed by the punchy flavours and the beautiful presentation. Not over the top and pretentious, but simple and thought out to let the fresh produce shine. Staff were relaxed and friendly; making me feel right at home! Would happily take friends and family here for a feed! If you’re looking for a great starter, the duck parfait would be my pick. That sweet bacon chutney with the creamy pate was such a delicious pairing!

Great location and atmosphere. We got there pretty early, so it was easy to get a seat. The food we ordered was delicious. Was it the best burgers ever? Not really. It was definitely solid though. The biggest let down was the chips that came with the two burgers. They were very mixed. Some were great, others were tough and dry. Worth a try if you are around the area though!

Went during lunch hour with my team and was pretty impressed with the food. Although the food is a bit on the pricey side, I think it could be because of the location at Barangaroo. The one thing worth writing about are the deserts, in particular the warm brioche pudding. That was amazing and would definitely go back just to have that. The caramelized brioche bun was nicely segmented into pieces which can be shared easily with your dinner party. The service was good and attentive and able to cater to our needs. No complaints.

Attended a sit-down dinner here at this new restaurant in Barangaroo. The dining space is very comfortable and classy. Staff are friendly and attentive. Delicious food, fantastic and friendly service! Came here for lunch with onr of the big bosses from north america. We originally planned to go elsewhere but I read so many good reviews about this place from Instagram and google. Never tried this place before so it was a bit of a calculated risk. The Butcher's block delivered the goods on all accounts. Fast and friendly service. Delicious mouth watering dishes included Roast Chicken GFO, Chicken Bowl DFO and my personal favourite, the Mixed Ribs! (I finished the ribs all by myself! 😉) The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and casual. We could easily have a decent conversation without having to shout at the top of our lungs. It is safe to say that I'm still employed and the boss was impressed.

Amazing experience! I went here for breakfast and the menu is really interesting, with quite a few good vegetarian options. The vanilla polenta porridge was smooth and sweet with a really nice tartness from the berries and crunch from the crumble. I would definitely come back again!

Amazing service and brilliant team. Great coffee drinks and delicious meats. If you have a sweet tooth, do yourselves a favor and try their toffee pie. It's always a hit among friends and one of the top desserts you'll find in barangaroo. (Took the toffee pie pic from their instagram, because I always eat mine before I have a chance to take a pic)

There is certainly no shortage of restaurants in Barangaroo and that also goes for steak restaurants. In this competitive (and pricey) location, if you don’t have what it takes to make it, you’re out. So I was keen to try this latest steak restaurant addition to Barangaroo, luckily it didn’t disappoint. Black Angus flat iron steak - ordered this medium rare which is what was delivered (big tick here), and it was well seasoned and therefore I didn’t need too much mushroom sauce or any at all to enjoy my piece of steak. It comes with chips or mash, I ordered the chips as an indulgent treat. The only thing I wasn’t sure about is that the menu says it’s a flat iron steak and this was not flat or thin at all. Brussel sprouts with macadamia, pecorino and Chardonnay vinegar. As far as sprouts go, these are pretty damn tasty! My fave element was the vinegar, the tartness balanced the natural bitterness of the sprouts. I need to try to replicate this at home!

The Butcher's block team has to put multicultural elements into the menu, providing variety and excitement to the table. There are many great places to grab a bite to eat in Barangaroo. But there are only a few places to visit for breakfast or Brunch. Butchers Block, with its new breakfast menu is the place to visit. The Butchers Block use Allpress coffee and have a menu full of breakfast favourites. All menu items are prepared with the freshest of ingredients. Dessert for breakfast, why not? The Banoffee waffles were a crowd favourite. the waffles were perfect, nice and light topped with fresh bananas, a ridiculously good ginger butterscotch sauce, vanilla mascarpone and roasted almonds If you prefer a healthy start to your day, there is delicious Bircher, topped with a mix of seasonal berries, poached pears, pomegranate honey and a sprinkling of homemade granola. Another healthy option is the smashed avo bruschetta which is also perfect if you are on the run. The cornfritters are quality, nice and light and fluffy with plenty of flavour. The Green Breakfast bowl is another popular breakfast option. This dish was super tasty with a crisp brown rice flavoured with a sweet teriyaki style sauce and served with a mix of BBQ vegetables including broccolini, zucchini, asparagus, add some more green with a generous portion of avocado. There is something satisfying about cutting in to a perfectly poached egg and watching the yolk ooze out over the breakfast bolw, working its magic, adding flavour as it floods with a tidal wave of yum. The Butcher's Block is the ideal setting to enjoy a meal in the heart of Barangaroo. This cafe restaurant is modern with a casual vibe. The service is relaxed and the food is great.

Location is great, service is excellent and staff are very accommodating. If you like meat this is the place for you. I decided on the 1/2 pork ribs with fries. The meal didn't disappoint, very tender and well prepared. Wife had the eye fillet with peppercorn sauce, she described it as fabulous. Will come back here next time I'm in Sydney.

On Monday the 13th Jan, I went for dinner at The Butcher's Block in Barangaroo with my mum and sister. Having heard that the food was delicious and reasonably priced we thought it was worth the visit. And wow, we were absolutely mindblown! From the moment we walked through the door the staff were welcoming and sat us down and offered us water and drinks. We ordered the garlic prawns, the mixed ribs with creamed potato, the lamb neck papardelle and a side of crisp brussel sprouts. Everything was absolutely delicious. The prawns were sightly chargrilled with oozing butter and a spicy green sauce that we soaked up with the fluffly fried buns that accompanied the dish. However, undeniably, the mixed ribs, which come with all three meats (lamb, pork and beef) were to die for and definitely the best ribs we have ever eaten. Not to mention, the creamed potato with a dash of truffle oil is by far the tastiest mash in Sydney! We had an absolutely increadible dining experience at the Butcher's Block and the service was attentive and delightful. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back for more!

We really love this place but a lot of the times we have come here on a Saturday night for dinner, there is no creamed potato left. The steak and ribs here are amazing but what we really come for is the creamed potato 🤤

Food was fresh and tasty with service good. We had a couple of plates to share including meat platter and calamari which were great. The kids bolognese was oddly sweet to the point my little guy wouldn't eat it (I couldn't either). We've had that before in Asia so maybe they're catering to the international kids that might normally be in the area but aren't this year.. Other kids meals were fine, great even.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would We were celebrating our 3rd anniversary on a Sunday night. The two waiters who looked after us knew this and went above and beyond to make our night special and personal - from the set up on our table to helping us select from the menu and even teaching us how to make roses with napkins. I cannot say I have left a restaurant feeling more valued and happy with the service. Would recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be back. Thank you again to the team there!

Was just about to give them 5 stars. Then the bill arrived. We asked for tap water and were slugged $10 for a bottle of flat water. Otherwise good food (try the spanner crab omelette, the eggs benedict, the Angus burger). Milkshakes and smoothies are good and they're happy to modify ... asked for dairy free soy milk berry smoothie and they happily complied. Staff friendly. Bench seating comfortable. Toilets not too clean but I don't think they're exclusively theirs so probably no control over that.

Overall a positive experience, service staff were attentive and helpful. We got a mixed rib plate which was very generous in size following a recommendation from our waitress. This comes with side fries and the beef rib just melted in your mouth. The lamb was smaller and a little tougher but had good flavour and the pork rib was tender and juicy as expected. Thia restaurant has an up-market feel, a great place for a candle-lit dinner. There were also appealing pastas and other items on the menu that i wanted to try, so i will go back. As with most of the restaurants in Barangaroo, the price is a bit more up-market. Steaks are between $35-$75 approx depending on cut quality and size. So you will spend a little more for a night out here. While this restaurant doesnt have water views, the ambience inside is very nice and you need only cross the street to pass through to the waterfront walk. I definitely rate this

On a rainy Friday night two friends and I ate here. Truth be told, it was the only restaurant that had availability when we wanted; our higher order options being fully booked. However, the food was a pleasant surprise and much better than expected. It’s also surprising that it was about half full on a night that most other Barangaroo restaurants were heaving with the after work crowd and tourists. We were impressed by the warmth of service and efficiency from the one female team member on the floor in particular. The food - two of our party had fish, I had the beef burger - was good. A compact wine list offered plenty of options by glass and a few by the bottle. Being located at street level in a commercial building, there’s no escaping the disruptive din from the office building fire alarm above, which echoed through the restaurant for a few minutes until the fire brigade arrived. So while it may not have the same view of the waterfront restaurants it more than makes up for this with a lovely dining experience.

Went here for dinner during a Wednesday night. Perfect timing as there is plenty of space, tables, and quick service. The food was fantastic with matching sides. I ordered the barramundi which was cooked perfectly. The meat was juicy and firm, while the skin was a crispy crunch. The restaurant is facing the harbour and therefore has a lot of natural light. This is a big plus in my eyes.

Had lunch during the week - a steak and salad (yeah I know). Steak was well seasoned and at first was delicious. However had a lot of gristle which became too difficult to eat after halfway. Salad was fresh and crisp. Service was fine. The Tiramisu was crunchy with the italian pillow biscuits that are supposed to be soaked in coffee and/or alcohol not soaked. The presentation was great however. So a generous 3 stars and an unlikely return.

Nice staff, efficient service, decent meal servings. Great location, minutes from Wynyard train station and nicely placed a little less obviously close to the main Darling Harbour thoroughfare, means that it rarely gets crazy busy. Pricey for what you get but about right for the location (typical tourist and business buildings location).

Attentive service, nice setting, great location and good views! Ordered the ribs platter with salad. Salad of just green leaves looked a bit sad- had other options of chips or mash. Mash had truffle, and tasted and smelt delicious so I would definitely order that side next time!
