We had our Wedding at the Italian food project in November 2020. It was the best day ever, food and drink were in abundance and the hospitality we received was second to none! Anyone looking for a local wedding venue should check out the Italian food project. After 12 months people are still talking about how delicious the food was!

Make sure you book before coming so you aren't disappointed. This place can book out fast. The food is tasty, love the generosity with parmeson cheese. Their tiramisu is one of the best I've had at a italian restaurant, it really has the homemade taste and is a good size. The arancini balls are also a must have!

Yummiest Italian food and I am so happy I live close to the restaurant. With the restrictions fully lifted, the restaurant is busy again. It is so good to see. Food, as always, were delicious and the service is wonderful. They have a great service team out the front and, I'm sure, the kitchen teams are killing it with the food that comes out! Be aware, though, their takeaway menu is not the same as dining-in. How well food travel will determine how it tastes by the time you get to eat it at home. TIFP is pretty much the place I go when I want an Italian food fix in Camden. Can't go wrong and I trust the quality.

Thank you so much for the best night of our lives!!!! As you can tell the food and atmosphere was so great my husband couldn’t help himself and had to eat and dance at the same time. All jokes aside we had postponed 5 times and the Italian Food Project was our venue change we had to do for our last date. With the pouring rain we were so worried, but Alison calmed our nerves and I am so glad we had our wedding here in the end it was beyond what we ever could have had and everyone had said they hadn’t been to a wedding as good as this! My favourite special touch was the goody bag Alison gave to us at the end of the night, being the bride and groom we didn’t eat and by the time we were at the hotel we were starving. So thank you for packing us a take home bag we ate gnocchi on the bed after the wedding 😂 Alison you are beautiful inside and out and look after everyone. We will be back for our anniversaries 🤍🤍🤍🤍 The Italian Food Project will always hold a special place in our hearts .

Lovely food, very quick and friendly service, and great kids options. The spaghetti serving for my 3 year old was very generous. Pasta was al dente, not mushy like you get for kids at most places. She was even offered a bit of dough to play with while we waited. I had the crab pasta - plenty of seafood flavour and a generous amount of crab meat. My partner had a pizza. The bread dough had good depth of flavour and there was a generous amount of topping without it getting overloaded and soggy. Would definitely try again if we come back down to Camden

Nice building, with bustling and noisy atmosphere. The staff were helpful and attentive. Food was mostly excellent, although I don't understand the obsession with mountains of rocket, and parmesan cheese on everything. I could barely see my steak under the mound of rocket. Let's be honest... I was mostly there for the dessert platter.

Only reason not 5 stars and I'm being a bit harsh as Sydney restaurants have only been open for 5 days and suppliers are not up to full speed was the shortage of some red wines.

I came here for a work Christmas dinner. The atmosphere is great. We had an outdoor table. The pizza is the best I've had for a long time. We had the gnocci and salads as well. Also had the suckling pig but the presentation wasn't great. The portion is good and the service is fantastic.

Really nice atmosphere, unique theme and nice table set up. Totally loved the dim lights which created more of a intimate dinner experience. Food names are mainly in Italian without English translation which may be difficult for first timers. Italian food lovers should give the restaurant a go. Cool vibes, definitely a place for people of all ages to enjoy. Very friendly staff and service was great. Not too many options in the drinks menu however the reasonable price for drinks compensate for it.

After being accidentally charged twice for an order the manager went out of her way to contact me to rectify the charge. I have never received better customer service in my life! Freezing cold outside 12C with no heaters and all the host could say "What can I say it was 35C two days ago" bad form. Food was ok but not amazing I was expecting had the gnocchi with prosciutto and honey really not much flavour others in our party were not ecstatic with their meals either my third and last time there.

Their great service begun before our booking. Failing to reserve a spot on Valentine's Day, I emailed asking for anything at all and they asked for my number, to keep me posted throughout the day for cancellations. Food is great, top notch. Pizza is lovely. Atmosphere is also so very relaxed, it's cozy but you can move around outside, if that makes sense. I've been here a few times, with a bulky pram, no problem, no tough squeezing. Staff on every occasion have been cool and friendly. There are a few workers there that are very attentive and warm - it's nice. Ultimately, you go for the food, and it's always delicious. Coffee on both occasions after the meal was a bit of a miss. Far, far too bitter. If that's the type of bean used, its not overly nice in my opinion. Nevertheless, won't stop me from going back. All visits I've done are at lunch, service always prompt Enjoy!

The range of food is good, however for people that come in groups might want an ordinary pizza that is well-known such as meat lovers etc. The dessert was quite nice and presented beautifully. The restaurant itself was a nice traditional theme, while also keeping it quite unique with innovative ideas while having a touch of modern to it. The staff was great in that the meals came on time, they offered to assist in any difficulties regarding the menu and they ensured there was plenty of water at the table. The food was nice and in good portions.

I have found a new place that Iam looking forward to working my way through their menu. What a great place and a wonderful team of staff. Yes, a bit noisy, but that comes from the Diners themselves. Music that doesn't override. Very attentive Staff, a skilled bartender with shaken drinks, and a boss who is a 'detail man'. The food is superb. The deserts, to die for. I am in heaven, and pleased to have found another Camden eatery that is better then many in more distant venues. Long may they remain!

Had a great night there last night. Great food, excellent service, friendly staff, good atmosphere and reasonably priced. Ticked all the boxes, this was our first visit but it certainly wont be the last. After reading some comments about the pricing I feel I should add that my wife and I had an excellent three course dinner plus a couple of drinks each for just over $100.00. All things being considered and comparing it to other Italian Restaurants in the area it certainly compares favorably.

This place is amazing. Recently had an event here for a baptism. Was a banquet style feast with about 60 people. The food was just amazing. Everything we tried was just fantastic. Especially the gnocchi and the pizzas are amazing. The staff are excellent, very accommodating and courteous with all guests. I was that impressed I have just booked my 30th birthday dinner here.

Came here for a work function and had the set menu. Food was tasty, plentiful, and filling. It was a warm night and we sat in the front courtyard (which is covered should it rain). It provided a nice relaxed atmosphere with fast and efficient wait staff. Its a bit out of the way for me, but I'd be interested to return.

Average food with rushed service. Seated after 15 minutes despite a booking, and was then reminded of the 1.5 hour seating limit. Arancini balls are pre-cooked as they were served almost immediately, and only slightly warm in the centre. Woodfired pizza was fresh and crispy but crab tagliatelle was bland. Long queue outside the restaurant was constant throughout the night, despite an abundance of available tables.

PROJECT AMAZING! We dined here for the first time tonight and we were absolutely blown away. The restaurant itself presents well with a cosy atmosphere, yet the place is large enough to seat many large groups of guests with both outdoor and indoor seating available without feeling overcrowded. Very spacious dining areas. The decor is wonderful too! The food is ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD! Where do i begin? Everything is delicious, fresh, light, flavoursome and filling. Fresh ingredients the delicious pizzas, fresh healthy cheese, pasta was fantastic; filling, fresh, light and delicious. I recommend the gnocchi! We tried the fried italian doughnuts with strawberries and zabaglione - the best dessert ever! Light, filling and full of flavour. Not heavy at all. Must try this! We will be back again. Thank you to the owners and Chefs and the helpful and attentive staff. Friendly, helpful without being intrusive at all. Lovely staff. No complaints. We left the restaurant very satisfied. Been here a few times. Atmosphere is nice vineyard feel. Service is good. Drinks are a bit expensive. 2 glasses of wine and 2 middies of beer $36. Pizza is fresh and nice pizza oven dough. Not much toppings which i think is meant to make it authentic. This has you eating alot of dough and not much else until you reach the very centre. Pasta and nochhi could have a bit more flavour. Black whole Olives were not nice.

I recently celebrated my birthday there. The place's decor is that of an Italian countryside trattoria, lovely! The pizzas were amazing! The desserts yummy! The staff attentive and very polite. Had a steak and porchetta this visit. Pork was nice and tender, a bit smaller serve than previously but still very tasty. The steak was not the best, well over cooked and burnt, but of a shame. We might stick to the amazing pizza next time

I had my wedding after party here. Everything went as planned the venue looked amazing. The staff were so helpful and accommodating nothing was an issue. They even stored the cake and all desserts. They helped set up stuff that we brought ourselves and were amazing with our guests. There was only 1 thing I can comment on which was a disappointment... We had the antipasta board first... then pizzas delivered to each table as a main. Guests were told to only get up when their table number was called to get the anti pasta foods which was fine. The first 6-7 tables got to try most of the foods. By the time tables 8, 9 and 10 got up to eat 90% of the food was gone and all they had to choose from was scraps. I was so disappointed as they told me in meetings prior that the table was going to constantly be refilled until no-one touched the food for 15mins and said there would be more than enough food. I was super embarrassed infront of my guests. For a company who does these sorts of functions all the time i really did think that the food part of it would have been better organised.

Review the menu online before entry as there is a lot of pressure to order when you sit down. Medium is more medium rare for steak and suckling pig you best come early. Very courteous service, everything was amazing except the PIZZA. Our 2 pizzas weren't served fresh. The crusts were chewy, dried out and the base was soggy, almost like pasta. We went there hoping for the best pizza. ps: We didn't want to make a fuss about it on the night. 4 weeks later we came back to test the pizza again. Sure enough, we got a beautiful freshly baked pizza , unlike the previous one. Now I have an issue with the tomato sauce we got with the gnocchi. Lacking any seasoning what so ever! Chef should taste it! There was no salt and pepper on the table.

Love the food, authentic Italian food including wood-fired pizza with a modern twist that is down to earth and won't break the bank. Best Italian food in the area! Rustic atmosphere is nice, and the best is the wood fired pizza. Ideal place for the winter dinner, just by the pizza oven, having hot italian treats. Reservation is advisable for weekends, and it can fill up quickly.

Came here for lunch today on probably there busiest day, mothers day. All i can say is UNBELIEVABLE. The quantity and quality of todays all you can eat buffet was amazing. The Calabrese pizza is quite possibly one of the best pizzas lve ever had and lve eaten many.. I saw on the menu that they mentioned something about making fresh dough every 24hrs and thought ‘what’s that all about’. But when the pizza came out it was obvious that what other pizza restaurants are selling off as pizzas is not even close. The crust has huge bubbles, browned, cracked, even burnt tips, and thin. It was perfect, had to smack other hands away! 10/10

Went there for the first time on Saturday night for a 60th birthday dinner. We were seated near the speaker outside and had to request for the music to be turned down so that we could hear ourselves talk. It was turned down and to my disappointment, the was turned back up. Dessert was poor and overpriced. 3 stars given for the mains. Thank you and hopefully, I'll be desperate enough to come back otherwise. On your boards used for the Affogatto, you should drill some grooves for the glasses to sit in so that it won't slip on a flushed board and tip over your guests. The other side can remain flushed for the bread board served for entree. Cheers

The Italian Food Project well where do I begin not many customers were there but the food was decilous and truely Italian. There was always a waiter waiting if we needed assistance and they were kind and polite. The Italian Food Project provided assistance when we walked though the doors and was able to do take away. The table decorations could be improved and same with some of the arkworks around the place, but otherwise The Italian Food Project was a marvelous place to go for my mothers birthday so thank you for the time there.
