Comments of Zushi Barangaroo

A wonderful experience for Japanese fine dining. We had the tasting menu for 99/person which was fantastic although a little pricey for the amount of food. Service was also excellent and helpful.
S. &. S.
Food was brilliant, we enjoyed the banquet. Rated the entrees more than the main dishes. Their sushi is next level and loved the mushrooms with the main and wagyu.
Staff were a bit pushy to get us out which I didn't appreciate bit understand closing times.

Very nice place to go, feel relaxing and chill! This is my first time to eating there, we read the reviews before we came. I saw people not that recommend the tasting menu, so I and my partner ordered 5 different dishes including starter at the end. We have ordered edamame, ocean rolls, sushi +sashimi platter, wagyu tataki & snapper tempura! We wanted to eat assorted tempura, but they don’t have it😥 a bit disappointed ☹️.
The food is tasty, sushi and sashimi are fresh! But nothing special, you won’t feel like any surprise at all, expect the wagyu tataki.
We spent ard $140, and we are happy with the price. We didn’t order any alcohol from there.
Good to go for a try, and I love the area there! Easy to park if you go by car, and you can have a dessert at Rivareno Gelato at the corner.
But as I am a sushi lover, personally suggest if you want something special you should go to Sokyo for sure, if you want cheaper price you can go to Kaido sushi in Chatswood.

Zushi is a great experience! Who knew I needed modern Australian Japanese fusion food? Well I do now! My friends and I are itching to be back since the covid shutdown.
The food was amazing, and I’d suggest eating ‘sharing-style’ so you can try a few things. We had sushi, duck and some sashimi. Actually alright prices for the quality of food.
To be honest, the ONLY con, and this really isn’t Zushi’s fault is the location. The long line of restaurants in Barangaroo isn’t incredibly ideal for dining - it feels a bit crowded at times and almost a bit like a food court - ah, c’est la vie?! It won’t stop me coming back!

Tuesday 05/04/22, evening. Tried the $77 tasting menu and was very impressed with all the dishes. Notably the salmon carpaccio and honey glazed prawns. While it is towards the pricier end of dining options, I am a firm believer that the quality+amount of food received was well worth it. Though the food more than makes up for it, customer service wasn't great. Apart from the one floor waitress with red-ish hair, the staff seemed to be inexperienced or uninterested (not telling the table what dish was being put down, clearing table settings despite still being in use). Cocktails weren't anything special. Despite some shortcomings, could not recommend the food any more. Definitely a must try.

We were walking around Barangaroo tonight looking for somewhere dinner and very happy we chose to stop here! We didn’t have a booking but the team were super accomodating and hooked us up with a great table. The service was spot on, and the food was fresh and delicious and so were the cocktails!! Really didn’t know what to expect but super impressed and would definitely come back next time we’re in town! Thanks for a great Christmas Eve meal :)
R. G.
Amazing food, definitely recommend, we will definitely return again. Had the banquet made gf for 2 people and was delicious, one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. Make sure to book though as they are very popular.
H. J.
Best sushi restaurant in Sydney! Despite having limited vegetarians options, what they do have is fantastic - the cauliflower bites in particular are a highlight!
I. J.
Awesome food, ambiance and service. We had a newborn with us and were quite nervous about dining in, but the staff were very accomodating and friendly. Food was exceptional. Sashimi was top quality. Wagyu rolls and tataki were a must have and the tartare had an excellent synergy of flavour and texture. Will definitely be back.
h. r.
Came here for lunch and really enjoyed the food & atmosphere here. We had the Edamame, Chicken Karaage Bento (part of Mon-Thu lunch menu) & Vegie Crunch Roll. Everything was delicious and you can have either white or brown rice (no extra charge for brown rice) for the rice/sushi dishes. It is slightly pricey, but the service and the vibe here are great. Would come back here again.

Celebrated my birthday at Zushi last weekend. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The table service was attentive, warm & friendly even though the restaurant was heavily booked. We loved it & would happily go back
J. J.
Tried the tasting menu for $65 pp for 2 people and was pretty decent for a higher-end modern Japanese restaurant. Huge highlights were all the entree type dishes, especially the karaage chicken, honey mayo glazed prawns and snapper tempura. Personally, I wasn't too much of a fan for the mains as it lacked flavour in comparison to the entree dishes. Next time I dine here, I'll definitely be getting my 3 highlights. I've also tried their sushi from a different time and it's amazing.

Zushi is located in a prime location. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. The food was delicious - we could not stop eating! My favourite would be the sushi tacos 🤤
The presentation of the food was beautiful, and we left feeling full but not heavy. We found the prices to be very reasonable.
We are definitely coming back!
A. U.
Lovely experience. Food was delicious, loved the honey prawns and sushi was delicious. We got the set menu. Planning to come back as they were kind enough to send me a birthday voucher
L. L.
set menu $85 ppl for corporate dinner, all dishes were pretty delicious and nice presentation. cocktails and other drinks also amazing. But it was very busy on Friday… dishes came slowly and I was always hungry....
d. c.
Had a wonderful might here filled to the brim with sushi. Although the menu is small, youd be delighted with almost every dish. Scallop sashimi and oysters are a must for entree and the wide variety of rolls do not disappoint.
J. T.
Had a lovely lunch here with some work colleagues last Thursday.
Even though the weather was miserable, we found the seating and heating comfortable.
The staff were friendly and patient with plenty of helpful tips to get us started.
The servings were generous and every dish we ordered was tasty.
I’d recommend a visit.
V. K.
Service was great and food was definitely delicious. Must try the tasting platter to get a taste of a variety of their dishes, but, if you can't, then you absolutely must try the tempura prawns. Great overall experience!
A. M.
Some of the best Japanese food I’ve had in Sydney. Super fresh and clean, just perfect. Staff couldn’t do more to help you and the location and view are lovely. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a high quality Japanese dining experience.

Lunch 26/04/21
Food was amazing easily the best Miso soup I have had and the wagyu rolls were incredible.
Superb view in this bustling location. Such a vibrant atmosphere loved this place wish I was a local!
Great for the office works in the area!
L. S.
One of the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney! The set menu was absolutely delicious and the pricing was pretty good for what you get! Frieda was beyond helpful and her customer service was outstanding!
M. F.
Beautiful location by the water and lovely dining setting. Mushroom dish and sashimi Tacos were great. Found the miso eggplant to be too strong - the Surry Hills location prepares it better. Found the Sashimi could be better. Overall, food was good!
J. K.
Attentive staff, great location in an open space - and fresh seafood. Have been to Zushi a number of times, ordering their set menus, and we've not been disappointed on that front (largely). Delicious cocktails too.
The only qualm I had were their cooked items - e.g. tempuras, beef, etc. - it just seemed so cheap, particular for the price paid. We did leave quite full, and there was quite a bit of waiting between some courses - though the place was somewhat full, so this could be understandable.
We'll probably still be back whenever the COVID situation improves, because the food is easy and uncomplicated.
N. M.
I’m writing this review midway through the meal- it’s that good! Had the smaller tasting menu, a cocktail jug and some individual cocktails- everything was phenomenal, simple, elegant food perfectly considered and prepared. Service was quick, attentive and welcoming- an issue with the deep fryer slowed service a little (we wouldn’t have noticed if it wasn’t explained) but the staff gave us a free course without asking. Highly, highly recommended
W. H.
An amazing location right beside the water.
Lovely atmosphere, great food and great service.
E. T.
For table of 2, we were given an hour and a half to dine which did not allow us time for dessert.
We ordered the $70 tasting menu which included Scallop Carpaccio, Sashimi selection, Honey Mayo Glazed Prawns, Chicken Karaage, Snapper Tempura, Miso Salmon, Wagyu Steak and Grilled Broccolini.
Overall experience was enjoyable and Ok.
A. T.
Fantastic set menu, big portions at a reasonable price and of high quality. They also catered for my pregnancy dietary requirements which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely return and also recommend to family and friends!

My family wanted something a bit cheaper in Barangaroo so I convinced them on sushi. Zushi has a typical Barangaroo layout of mostly undercover dining.
Food didn’t overly impress me but I did dine with picky eaters who didn’t want to order sashimi etc.
Zucchini flower tempura; zucchini flower and dash sauce $24
J.
My husband and I enjoy visiting Zushi on an annual basis to redeem my birthday voucher from them. I think it’s such a generous gift to subscribers of the restaurant.
It’s modern Japanese with a fusion twist which I love.
Our recent visit saw us order:
• A Super Mario mocktail & sparkling water
• Tuna Tataki
• Seared Scallops - my favourite dish of the evening!
• Lobster Tempura - this was a seasonal special
• Wagyu Steak
• Goma Mushrooms
• 2 x white rice
I love how the staff bring out our dish in order of the category each dish falls under so the Tuna Tataki came first followed by the Seared Scallops & etc. It makes you feel like you are enjoying a degustation course even though you picked every course yourself. There was no chopping and changing of the order the dishes arrived and this is something Zushi does very well.
Every dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. My fave were the Seared Scallops. Beautifully cooked with a gorgeous sauce.
If we weren’t so full, we would have been pleased to try the Chocolate Mille-Feuille and the Matcha Cheesecake!
Thank you, Zushi! We look forward to visiting you again soon! Keep up the great work!
R. P.
Excellent customer service and a very nice location. From the outside and the name of the place, it seems like a typical Japanese restaurant, but it's more than that. It is almost like a Japanese style fine dining. Food taste amazingly good and the presentation is outstanding. Tasting Menu is highly recommended.
L. M.
The food here was absolutely amazing. We had the tasting menu which gave us an opportunity to try things that we wouldn't normally have ordered off an a la carte menu. The location is lovely and the staff were friendly and never stopped working. If you are going for a birthday celebration, it is worthwhile looking into their birthday voucher. $50 off your meal is a great incentive to give this restaurant a go. It was well worth it. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit again.
A. O.
Really good sushi, well presented. The tasting menu for $65 is well worth it with a great variety well timed servings. Lovely place outside, friendly staff.
M.
This has to be the best Japanese restaurant in Sydney. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious and the flavours were amazing and everything just tasted so damn good !! The ambience and location of the restaurant was excellent. My two kids aged 15 & 12 years old absolutely loved this restaurant, they loved the food and the mocktails 😉 We had a variety of dishes (tiger and wagyu beef sushi rolls, tempura, agedashi tofu, tuna tataki and miso cauliflower (to die for) and each one was outstanding, save room for dessert ! It will definitely be a family favourite restaurant.
H.
Vibrant staffs, welcoming customers with smile. Busy place with warm environment. Mouth-watering food with fresh ingredients. Service is absolutely outstanding. Each tables are always attended. Definitely had a decent dinner here 😊 10/10
J.
Amazing customer service - they were very fast, proactive and considerate. The place was so clean, professional and welcoming. Plus good vibes, music and atmosphere!
The duck teriyaki with pumpkin purée, albeit expensive, was delicious and well worth it! Honey prawns as well - a must try! Good value for the tiger rolls (and any of the other sushi mains).
E. A.
We had a wonderful experience last night. The booking was for 8pm but we arrived at 7pm the table was already set and allowed us to be seated and order drinks until the other guest arrived.
We ordered the Sushi Boat which was incredible, every piece of fish was fresh and wonderful.
We also order the $85pp tasting set menu + a couple other items off the menu. These all came quickly after each other and were all spectacular.
The service, staff, and scenery were on point. Would definitely recommend highly and cannot wait for my return.
E. d.
Everything is perfect until main dish.
K.
Best sushi place I've ever eaten at, hands down the best
H. G. K.
Scrumptious food - everything was so tasty!
R. H.
Food was pretty average - while not memorable I enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. We got the tacos, tataki, some sushi rolls and the barrumundi. The service could be improved - we had a booking but didn't get in until 30 minutes later, and the food took longer than expected to come out.
B. C.
Amazing and fresh! Fast service, beautiful views. Only downfall on a hot day there's no fans or water spraying from roof so it does get abit heated but food was worth it!
S.
Zushi is an amazing Japanese restaurant. Their sashimi is very fresh. Great service! There is definitely no complaints here…I highly recommend this place.
J. M.
I was amazed and surprised how delicious this place is! We went for the set menu and added on the sashimi tacos. The highlights were definitely the sashimi tacos, scallops carpaccio and the honey glazed prawns!
R. N.
What a fantastic lunch my son and I had here! The flavours were amazing. My son said the Wagyu Bento was the best he's had. Loved the teriyaki duck ramen. The chawanmushi was my favourite. With sea urchin and crab meat and truffle oil, heaven in a bowl. The Green Matcha Mousse cake was creamy and spectacular to finish off our meal. Would definitely recommend this place!
D. L.
We came to Zushi Barangaroo in June 2019 and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing and the price was reasonable for the high quality of food and service. We ordered a couple of beers and lots of plates of food and the total only came to just over $100. We were very pleased with this restaurant and my partner and I can't wait to come back next time we're in Sydney. Thank you to all of the lovely staff members :)
S. T.
Overall we had a quite a nice dining experience here but the quality and taste of the dishes we got were inconsistent. The miso cauliflower was incredible, such a wonderfully unique dish with amazing flavour. However, the tamari ponzu on the tuna tataki dish totally lacked flavour balance and destroyed the delicate flavours of the seared tuna. It was extremely sour, almost inedible. The prawn dumplings, while the actual flavour was nice, left a slick weird textured oily taste on the roof of your mouth, and this was the experience of both people in the party. Food aside, the service was exceptional, and even though it was a very busy evening we were seated in minutes.
J. S.
Not as good as Sake, entree was way better than mains. Mains were dry
R. J.
This place is a Delicious Sushi restaurant! Highly recommended everything we ordered was above expectations!!
Great atmosphere too.
N. B.
Very delicious! One of the best places for fresh seafood and sushi. Highly recommend and I will be back soon 👍
t. c.
Absolutely delicious meal and cocktails. Wagyu rolls, edamame, pork gyoza were to die for. Very supportive dietary options. Loved my chilli margarita SO MUCH
S. Y.
Visited for lunch. Food was great! Unfortunately it was a super windy day and there wasn't much shelter where we were sitting which made it a less-than-optional experience; your experience may vary depending on the weather. Service was top notch though.
G. W.
Excellent experience. Everything from Sashimi, Sushi Rolls, Katsu, Tempura were all of the highest quality. Service was good, even with a busy sitting
C. C.
Beautiful location in Barangaroo showcasing delicious and delicate Japanese food served with flair by engaging and charming well trained staff. Sashimi tacos had wonderfully fresh tuna and salmon but had interesting touches like the yuzu granita and wontons. Tempura veges, honey prawns and unusual but fantastic wagyu sushi roll were also delicious
Couldn’t have asked for a lovelier evening and based on how packed the restaurant was compared to neighbouring venues on a Tuesday night I think many others agreed!
V. N.
Not my favourite Japanese restaurant, as the overall food and dining experience is average. But if you would like to try this I recommend going for the sashimi tacos, miso toothfish and their sushi rolls.

Foods’s portion size are quite large. Tasting menu is amazing! Staff here are nice! Good view! Thank you!
S. J.
Great food, service and vibes ✌🏼🍣
Amazing gluten free and celiac safe options. One of my favorite places in Sydney for a great dinner. Been here multiple times and it’s always consistently great.
Highlights:
Nasu Dengaku eggplant - the sauce is SO delicious
Veggie crunch roll
Mushroom dish
Wakame salad
And of course great sashimi
C. Z.
Best food in Barangaroo!! Tastes as good as the sushi in Japan. The sushi and sashimi are so fresh and full of flavour, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I will definitely be back many more times:)
S. P.
Hosted an event here and it did not dissapoint. The food was superb. Fresh, well presented and delicious. The drinks were excellent. Service was good- but they asked us to move after a few hours- and we didn’t really need to.
Could not fault. All excellent. For a summers day- this is a brilliant location.
Fav dishes: vego roll, sushi boat, sashimi tacos.
m. m.
Wanted to give a massive shoutout to Nina the hostess at the Barangaroo location ! It was a special occasion and she want above and beyond to make the day amazing. Given the staff shortage at the moment, great service is hard to find and she really stood out. Would definitely be back !
A. (. B.
Went there for a late lunch and quite enjoyed the place. It was less crowded and service staff was attentive.
Food was a bit pricy, but it is to be expected with the location. Overall the best picks - sashimi taco & pork bao. Tiger roll was good too. However, the tuna carpaccio was anything but a caroaccio - it was tuna cubes & had the same flovours as the sashimi taco.
T. H.
First time visited here. Great ranges of cocktails, beers, and sake with a lively atmosphere. The restaurant is on the waterside, great views in daylight, but hard to see anything in the evening. Recommend to come here during the day. It was raining and windy at the time we were there, so it’s quite unconformable given they’re outdoor seating style. It got quite chilly at night. Service was fast because it was not busy, food delivered sporadically but without long waiting. Highly recommend their Sashimi plates, high quality and beautiful presentation. I do find their sushi rolls get too much sauce or mayo. We also had ocean jacket fish grilled just right, very yummy. Must try their Wagyu Steak, it’s a gem! Caramelised eggplant (Nasu Dengaku) not many places making this dish yum but here is a perfection.
B. H.
Always great for a meal with friends. The sushi and sashimi is super fresh and they a wonderful drinks list!
V. K.
Great food
Good service
A bit on the pricey side but understandable given the amazing location right in the heart of Barangaroo right on the water
Sit down and watch people go by as you dip your wine and enjoy the sharing options available for you and your friends. For one or for many this is a lovely place to simply take some time out and chill for lunch or for dinner
The servings are reasonable in portion size but the taste is tantalising and incredible.
Surrounded by so many restaurants this place is a must when in the local area
Get there by train and simply get off at Wynyard station. It is literally a 7 minute walk to the front door! Or drive and park in the local parking areas
Friday nights and weekends are crazy busy so would strongly suggest that you call ahead and receive your table. The tables hear the counter you can stay as long as you want to. For tables right up the front well those are at a set time so would suggest the ones at the back of you plan on a long dining and social experience!
All photos posted are ones I have taken.
A. M.
First off the area surrounding has really grown into it's own, being one of Sydney's best nightlife locales as of writing this review so the ambient sounds of people and music will be present when visiting Zushi on a weekend! The food is amazing however, we had the tasting menu to try as many flavours as possible and each course of sushi, sashimi and Japanese inspired cuisine was better than the last! One of the later courses was an inspired duck with amazing sweet potatoes crips and I have to say that flavours were amazing! The highlight was being served beautiful prawns with a honey based glaze, the quality and size of the fresh ingredients were very good! Seats are comfortable, adequate heating for cold nights and the staff are very attentive and made sure to deliver on our every desire.
Y. Y. ..
Great set menu for christmas. Amazing Sashimi Only took off one star because the duck a was chewy.
S. A.
We had a wonderful meal, the salmon nigiri, miso soup and edamame were delicious. We also had the miso salmon and the spider roll which were good, and the mushroom tempura that I didn't like.
The atmosphere is amazing and the staff were really nice.
S.
Every food I ordered was good except the too much Panko in udon which made the soup too oily
If you found Sokyo expensive but didn’t want to have any cheap Japanese food
Zushi is for you
C. a. M.
Delicious food, great views and a venue for special occasions. We celebrated two birthdays with Zushi and had a great time. If you have a sweet tooth like me, I’d highly recommend the berry treasure cocktail jug. We ordered some sushi rolls, fried food, and sashimi.
H. A. H.
One of the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney, their starters, rolls and tempura are really good, superb location but given they are very busy the setting can be noisy!
A. L.
Great atmosphere here with friendly staff and amazing food. The oysters are delicious and the sauce complements it so well.
I also tried the wagyu sushi which was great but I loved the ocean roll so much more!
C.
Fantastic food drink and friendly staff!
Had a group dinner for Xmas and I will definitely come back
d. p.
Shops along the barangaroo precinct are a bit expensive. This is expected as the area is lavish and has an awesome waterfront view. you don't just pay for the food, you pay for the place. I have worked here for over a year but i didn't get the chance to ear here until now. I know I can only get a few meal with my budget so I tried only what I'm used to eating from an asan restaurant. Although the price is a bit pricey, I must say the bao ban pulled pork is a surprise. It was so good even if it costs $7. The rolls are ok, i bit more texture than what you get from other japanese restaurants. The popcorn chicken will be your bes bt if you are on a budget but want to have a full meal. rice is just $2.5. It is better to go in a group so you can try a lot of what thy offer. Overall, I'll recommend this place.
W. T.
Decent sushi place. Some dishes are way too sweet in my opinion i.e. miso eggplant. The unexpected star is the lamb.
F. H.
There are some interesting dishes, the best dish was the toothfish. Spider roll was okay, had better, this one feels like just eating batter. Ocean roll was good.
A. L. G.
Good service and great location. High quality Japanese food. Highly recommend the Bento boxes on weekdays.
W. I.
Been here a few times and the food is decent and consistent. They seem to always be understaffed though and you usually have to wait a bit just to even get a waiters attention. It's also a little pricey for the setting but it is barangaroo so I guess that's why?
L. C.
Best food I've ever eaten. Great mocktail menu as well!
A. E.
Nice restaurant and beautiful food. It’s great to see new additions to the menu each time we visit. Great for birthdays and special occasions!
A. S.
Been a couple of times now and always enjoy the amazing range and good options for my vego based diet. Crispy veggie roll is always a winner and recent bean side dish took the cake! Tasty and good location.
N. E.
Zushi Barangaroo never disappoints! Friendly staff, excellent service and always fresh and tasty dishes to enjoy.
E. N. K.
A little disappointed with Zushi. The sashimi was lovely and melted in your mouth, but all the sauces they put with their vegetables are sickly sweet. I could almost not eat them. A bonus is they offer brown rice but it didn't taste very fresh
A. K.
My favourite Japanese as you get great high quality food for mid range prices. The sushi rolls are always fresh and delicious and the chicken karaage and sashimi tacos are musts as well. Service is always fast and the staff are all very friendly. Highly recommend for going with friends to try as many dishes as possible.
M. N.
Nice food. Nice atmosphere. Nice view. Price average
A. P.
Lovely place even when you need somewhere to eat late they’re very accommodating, highly recommend this place. Only thing that tipped me off was their sashimi tacos that had lemon sorbet which they didn’t before, taste better without it as it was too sweet. Will be coming back though 😊
N. N.
Loved the food and atmosphere here! Favourites included the chicken bao buns, and the miso toothfish! Great service!
L. d.
Had lunch with my family and we just did the set meal $65 each to try and as a taster. It was good food. We were full in the end. But now we know it's good we can just order other items in menu to try next time. The staff were super friendly and lax making you feel comfortable. The place was full and had a good buzz. I'd recommend to book. However we got there an hour earlier than booking time and we were accomodated. The location was excellent especially on a nice day. I just couldn't believe though that someone had chewing gum and stuck it under a chair so naturally it got stuck on my clothes. It was super hard to get off. If people are chewing gum please be more considerate of others and dispose it appropriately by wrapping it up in tissue or paper and throwing it in the bin not just sticking it anywhere or on footpath/floor. Apart from that the experience here was good and we'll come back.
A. D.
Awesome food, excellent service and people, very approachable to vary menu, will recommend this place to all my friends and colleagues.
W. W.
The best dinner, great service in this beautiful Sydney harbour setting.
M. P.
The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly. I love the vibe of the place and how quick the service was.
T. E.
Ordered the $85 set menu. Thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and felt satiated by the end. For an $85 set menu I was surprised that there was not a sweet plate to finish it off. We also ordered two cocktails, one was well made the other was a bit overkill on the strawberries. Had a good time and would recommend but won’t be rushing to go back.
C. R.
We'd been to the Surry Hills Zushi a few times with great results so it seemed like trying out the Barangaroo one would be a good idea.
I'm happy to say that it has definitely lived up to expectations! By far the standout dish for us was the tuna carpaccio though every meal was very delicious.
S. M.
Awesome, each dish were fresh and providing some great flavours. Drinks menu is quite extensive but the customer service was on point, you should visit for yourself to confirm👌🏼
A. N.
Nice food, nice atmosphere and pretty quick service.
A. C.
Service and location were great, right in front of the water. Food was decent but not the greatest.
D. A.
Delicious food, and friendly and helpful staff. The location adds an exciting buzz and it's an amazing venue for a social meal
D. F.
Interesting sushi rolls, Fusion style Japanese place. Comfortable dining area good service
e. n.
Had the 9 course degustation, which was excellent but had to order more sushi (I eat a lot) to be full and it was already expensive. Our waitress was really nice and friendly and was very accommodating for my needs - I was cold and she put me near the heater. Recommended if you want quality Japanese and good service 👍
A. R.
Excellent food and great service. Will definitely be returning!
K. P.
Amazing food with views of the harbour
J. W.
Nice and fresh food served up pretty fast when I came here for lunch. Nice semi outdoor seating by the water at Barangaroo. Would come back again.
J. J.
Soooo good!! Would recommend everyone eat there 🥰
J. T.
Tasty Japanese restaurant around Barangaroo. Presentation looks good.
D. C.
Nice lunch. Very good food. Gio, the person who served us, was very helpful.
A. S.
Really good food strongly recommend the Honey King Prawns, if you want to try something
Z.
Great sushi, reasonbly priced. Nice venue and friendly staff.
J. M.
amazing food (tasting menu) and cocktails and really nice staff :)
P. C.
The vegetarian bento made my day. Given I was looking for a whole food plant based alternative it was one of the tastiest meals I have had that fitted that bill in the last month. The other diners sushi looked excellent and the outdoor seating was perfect.

Great food, wonderful staff and brilliant location. Little expensive but it is Barangaroo.
V. H.
Very special dishes.
Waygu, scallop and Tuna are all amazing.
Worth trying.
x. l.
Delicious food, fast and friendly service, almost no wait on each course 10/10.
G. G.
Food was average but overall experience is good especially the location
M. C.
Sashimi was beautiful and fresh. Sushi was good too.
W. E.
The pancake was good.
But never order brown rice sushi, as it can’t be packed well.
K. M.
Wow so fresh, tasty and great service! The precision of knife work experienced in the form of fine cucumber slivers on a role. Sashimi is great, bento box is great, rolls are to die for. Chefs kiss x 100
A. J.
The best Japanese food I’ve ever had.
Very friendly staff, they explained what’s in the dish every time I asked. If you’re a fan of Japanese beer, you’d find it here on tap and premium bottle alike. Highly recommended
J. S.
Delicious food, I had the sashimi and duck. Although the duck was perfect, I felt the sashimi was sliced pretty thin compared to other places I've been with a Lower price point and equally fresh fish, but still tasty.
Was served by Nadya who was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT! What wonderful service so polite and friendly, really made the experience!
T. B.
Yum! Absolutely loved the popcorn chicken and the sashimi tacos! Great Japanese fusion food and excellent service!
M. W.
Really nice fresh food, great menu and great service.
J. L.
Amazing ambience, food, and service. I can definitely see why Zushi was busy and noisy on a Monday night compared to their neighbouring restaurants. The drinks are to die for, especially the moshi moshi mocktail. The $90 tasting menu was nice and good value, and my favourite dish was the duck teriyaki because it was juicy and cooked well. The sashimi of the day and sashimi platter tasted very fresh and delicious. Will return soon!
K. E.
Excellent restaurant for sashimi. Strongly recommend the eggplant, sashimi taco, tiger roll and Wagyu beef. You can't go wrong with Zushi.
K. S.
One of our family's ALL TIME FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS!
I have been to this restaurant on over 4 occasions now, and can confidently state that Zushi WILL NOT disappoint!
The staff are always so lovely, welcoming and accommodating.
The food is always super fresh, bursting with flavour and will make you want to keep coming back for more!!
Highly recommend the Honey King Prawns - they are fresh and hot, and that crispy batter is out of this world!
We also love the tuna and salmon sashimi, pan fried pork gyoza, cauliflower karaage and chicken katsu.
Not to mention, the cocktail list is extensive and they are all delicious!
L. L.
Great food and friendly service

Zushi
10/33 Barangaroo Ave, Barangaroo NSW 2000
Zushi is an inviting modern sushi returant. Unfortunately it isn't sushi train but more a 3 course meal returant. The location is super pretty. Right next to the all new Crown casino. Surrounded by richest of the rich. Dads in boat shoes and polos, mums in clubbing attire etc. Located right on the dock. Would suggest going around sunset time. Returant is open and cosy.
Location was ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food was delicious price can vary depending on what you are after e.g. sashmi, fresh oysters, wagyu steak is on the more expensive side. Portions are ok had to get 3 entrees and 2 mains to share. Very traditional Japanese which was a nice touch
Food was ⭐⭐⭐½
Drinks are awesome they have a huge range for all types of different alcohol. Tap beers, cocktails, standard house liquor and Japanese liquor. Cocktails were all great.
Drinks were ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Would definitely recommend booking even on a Thursday night it was very busy. Upon arrival the waiter who allocated our table was nice. The waiter who served our table was unprofessional. Slow with the tablet and couldn't find certain things. She didn't appreciate social distancing and got really close to my girlfriend and I on top of that she took our menus even after asking for her to leave them. In addition the tables are to small had to keep moving things around.
Service ⭐⭐½
For being located in one of the most extravagant fine dining places in Sydney it was good. Price for a table of 2 ended up being $140. 3 entrees, 2 mains and 6 Drinks is actually really good. Would recommend for a more luxurious night out.
Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐
M. T.
Some really beautiful food! Convenient location. Great service. Highly recommended!
M.
Great food and service! Had one of the set menus and they catered perfectly to gluten free dietary requirements with separate plates to avoid any cross contamination. I recommend !
A. F.
I was very impressed with how attentive the staff were and the fast service.
The food was good, portions could have been bigger -considering the price.
I did receive bonito flakes in my meal after specifically advising I was vegetarian. Mistakes happen but I would recommend asking before ordering, especially if you have certain dietary requirements.
The most disappointing part of the evening was when we were asked to finish up 15 minutes earlier than expected (our reservation was for 90 minutes) as the next party had arrived early. Best practice would be to make the early party wait until their allocated reservation time.
Not a great first impression of Zushi.
It wasn't a terrible experience but I probably wouldn't go back.
M. H.
Came here with a group and had a set menu. All the food was done perfectly from the entrees to the mains. We especially liked the sashimi and the beef. The service was very attentive and friendly.

Overall, I enjoyed the variety of dishes at Zushi. The atmosphere is relaxed and in a great location. The customer service was a little bit slow but it was a busy Friday when I went. My favourite dish was the sashimi tacos.
D. Z.
Top food... The tasting plate was amazing
M. V. (.
The atmosphere, staff, and food were absolutely amazing. My guest and I ordered the $65pp tasting menu which was delicious and full of different flavours, each dish fresh and presented well. Everything about my experience was very enjoyable, I will be bringing more guests there in the future. Thank you for a lovely evening 😊
T. C.
Sashimi tacos, tiger roll, pan-fried gyoza and kids bento box a highlight; plus Sapporo on tap
E. W.
If I could have one last meal before I died, it would be Zushi tasting platter. I didn’t know what my purpose in life was before but now I know - it’s to live another day, and work hard, so I can come back one day and eat this meal again. Thank you to the chefs for helping me find my purpose. Arrigatto.
C. K.
Came with friends last night and the 7 course was amazing
b. r.
Nice food and atmosphere, can't go wrong on Sydney harbour
s.
Came for my little sisters birthday on Monday. Brilliant service and phenomenal food! The sashimi is divine and the tuna and wagyu tataki are musts! Even my dad, who hates raw fish, tried the sashimi and loved it! Love this place and will definitely be back!
A. L.
Delicious food and excellent waitress
M. T.
We had Mobile Zushi cater for our office function and we were very happy with the service. The food was beautiful and fresh. Both chefs were efficient and the waitresses provided great service. Highly recommend.
S. N.
Nice venue, outdoor seating near the water. They ensure patrons check in. About 10 mins walk to Wynyard train station. Right near the ferry wharf. Food is nice but on the pricey side. I had the duck teriyaki and it was nice. I'd recommend adding rice. Pretty busy at 1pm on NYE so booking recommended.
J. W.
Walked in as a solo traveler with no booking. The place was packed, but I was seated within minutes. Staff was friendly & provided prompt service. The tuna tataki was perfectly cooked & seasoned, and the ocean roll was one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. Will be back next time I’m in Sydney.
F. G.
Enjoyed the food and the service, all around great experience
d. a.
One of our top favourites for Modern Japanese in Sydney. One of the rare places that serves Buttered Patagonian Toothfish. Wagyu sushi roll is also served medium well. Absolutely delectable and enjoyable especially with a good group of friends!
P. G.
Had the banquet menu. Was beautifully presented and the sushi was delicious. They saved the Wagyu and duck dishes till last but I could have done without them. They didn't have the fresh, light flavours of the sushi and weighed things down. If I went here again I'd stick with sushi and a main course.
P. X.
Service was good, very attentive.
The food was a mixed bag, a couple of nice dishes but overall mostly average or below average quality food on the night
j. m.
Love the location. Very fancy and looks out to the waters at darling harbour. I've been at this location once and it's definitely a different experience and ambiance. Very lively as it is a half outdoors indoors restaurant. Wonderful foods - sushi roll around $20 and the rest quite pricey for tiny portions but worth it. Service wasn't as fast/great as surry hills but it is busier so I get that. Overall a great place to have a few drinks and nibbles after work.
J. T.
Great Sashimi. The umeshi is a must.
D. E.
Fresh, flavorful and great atmosphere. The menu has a good variety but unlike other Sushi restaurants where you get a list and pick the sushi you desire, Zushi has the chefs choice of the day which lends itself to an amazing taste bud journey. The Ocean role is top choice and the Wagyu roll is definitely one to try.
L. K.
Love love love sushi and Zushi in Barangaroo definitely delivers. Everything is just sooo fresh and yummy.
The only reason I did not give 5 star is because once when we ordered take away, they forgot to put one of my orders and my husband only realised it when he got home.
S. T.
We enjoyed a delightful lunch here recently. The Zushi Barangaroo menu is extensive, varied and very, very tasty. We chose a banquet as we were a group of 8 and wanted a variety of dishes. I also added my favorite dish Age Dashi Tofu to the order , which was delicious. The service was efficient, friendly and helpful. They have a lovely wine list and make a really good cocktail. Well worth a looksee.
K. K.
Strongly recommend Japanese food lover to go. It's one of the best westernized Japanese restaurants that I've tried in Sydney. The taste of ingredients comes out even better when the sauces and others seasonings were added. It's more into a piece of art rather than only good. The dinner set is actually with a good price when compared other restaurants around Barangaroo area;) Worth a try!
P. M.
Absolutely loved the food at Zushi, the service and the friendly staff were just so accommodating!!!
M. M.
Amazing food and service!
D. K.
Sensational Japanese cuisine. Honey prawns and sashimi tacos were the standouts!
L. Y.
Reasonably priced weekday lunch menu. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for bentos.
M. R.
The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the shared tasting platters. It's a bit pricey but there's lots of food and its all very good
K. M.
Awesome, The food and service absolutely fantastic. The Sushi Boat a must have
J.
Amazing place ! Visited with the family and could not fault ANYTHING ...
Will be coming back for sure to try some of the other menu items.
Highly recommend.
J. C.
Amazing food and delicious chili margaritas!!! The karage and sashimi were great. Will definitely be back
M. K.
Pricey, but worth it.
J. S.
Delicious food, I had the sashimi and duck. Although the duck was perfect, I felt the sashimi was sliced pretty thin compared to other places I've been with a Lower price point and equally fresh fish, but still tasty. …
M. H.
Came here with a group and had a set menu. All the food was done perfectly from the entrees to the mains. We especially liked the sashimi and the beef. The service was very attentive and friendly.
J. J.
Mene needs to be upgraded a bit, otherwise I would strongly recommend this place. Staff is great and food is almost fine dining quality. Small Japanese gem at Barangaroo 😋
M. P.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and awesome food ❤️👌😁 a must go to place for Japanese in City...
K. M.
Awesome, The food and service absolutely fantastic. The Sushi Boat a must have
J. C.
Friendly staff, great food. Staff made sure covid rules were upheld. Was warned of limited seating time, which is reasonable as food came out very quickly, one plate finished another plate arrived.
S. N.
Had the $65pp share plate. Very nice food. Enjoyed the prawns, steak and sashimi the most, but other plates were also nice. Good ambience. Would definitely come back.
g. t.
Great sushi with a twist. Must get the bao buns
R. H.
Had a most wonderful time at this restaurant with delicious food at $65 per head and birthday celebration. Waitress were very good in serving us, extremely friendly. You can see the water view from this restaurant.
A. G.
Great sushi (modern, traditional, made to order), soup and more. Try the wagyu beef sushi!!
T. N.
The chilli edamame is suprisingly good and the sashimi / sushi are excellent quality and a decent portion size.
What also makes the experience even better is the kids menu, which has a good range of sushi options.
Service was prompt and the staff are quite attentitive as well.
R. P.
Try the excellent Wagyu Bento Box & a drink is all you can eat!
V. H.
Zushi is amazing. I have been to this restaurant countless times and it never fails to disappoint. A beautiful modern Japanese menu with fresh handmade large sushi rolls and other miscellaneous items. My favourite dishes are the Ocean Roll, Sashimi Tacos, Spider Roll and Pork Bao. Coeliacs can also rejoice -- Zushi prides itself on having a menu with mostly GF items and the waiters are very attentive, even ensuring that they bring out GF soy sauce without being asked. Also make sure to try their cocktails if you are a fan -- I recommend the berry treasure :)
R. C.

L. C.
Loved this place! Accommodates Gluten Free AND has awesome vegan / veg friendly options. Best veg sushi I’ve ever had! Great atmosphere too!
L. K.
65$ set menu fantastic value , great mixture of seafood and meat. highly recommend...scallops to start sensational and loved the snapper tempura
L. H.
Great food, drinks and fantastic location! Staff were very attentive. All the dishes were well done and the sushi and sashimi are first class. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.
Q. L.
Beautiful view of the water matched with delicious Japanese food. The serving of the Teriyaki Chicken bento I ordered was generous and comes with a variety of sides. The only advice for improvement is to get the staff to be more attentive. It was hard to get their attention when they keep looking down and we were sitting at the far end - the service needs to match the price.
W. M.
Really impressed by the good and service at Zushi. We tried the set tasting menu. It was delicious and beautifully presented. Great views of Darling Harbour too. Moderate prices but worth every cent.
L. B.
Really nice quality sushi from what I've eaten here in Australia the more expensive authentic dishes taste as fresh as Japanese fish almost. I was impressed. Nice view, food is very nice. The price is right for what you're getting.
T. T.
I went to Zushi Barangaroo not too often, service was always good but food could be hit and missed.
I had the chef special bento box with Wagyu sliced, sashimi, sushi rolls and 2x grilled scallops. I ordered additional agedashi tofu. Now this is the first time, but I had tummy problem after that. Either some of the ingredients are not fresh or some are not clean.
I didn’t eat before or after the big lunch.
All and all, I think it’s a good place for occasions but food quality for the price point could be better.
J. A.
Oh my god. This food is to die for. I didn't know sushi could taste so good. Excellent service, quality, and value. Will definitely be back here again in the future.
B. R.
Excellent lunch, seated right away. Plenty of space between us and the next tables. Great lunch deals and prompt service. Would definitely go back.
P. N.
Went her for my birthday dinner with my family. Even though we were late they were accomodating & seated us straight away with no fuss. Fresh & tasty food. Attentive & quick service! On the pricey side, but you pay for what you get 😁
A. I.
Set menu for 12 people - Food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was fantastic
J. L.
We love the food there and the view! This is the seond time we've been there, we chosen the tasting menu and not disappointed at all! We're so full and satisfied. They have kids menu as well, suitable with kids.
J. B.
Good good, great location, friendly staff
B. D.
Great food, service in an awesome setting. Wine list ain't half bad either. Well be back time and time again
L. C.
Service was good, but the food wasn’t very impressive. The batter was overcooked and difficult to chew which masked the flavour of the dish. Disappointing experience considering the cost.
H. Y. N.
Very good vibe on Friday after work. The food testing menus for $65 / person is great, three of us couldn’t finish the meal. It’s a great selection with wagyu, prawns and sashimi of course
S. S.
Went there a few months ago for lunch and it was really worth. To begin with, the Sushi's over there are perhaps one of the best in Sydney. Their Miso soup and tofu were absolutely delicious. All their salmon palates were amazing were amazing. Crispy Gyoza was delicious. I think, surprisingly enough, their standout dish that day was the Chicken Karaage. All in all, seriously delicious.
M. X.
Had a great Sunday lunch with my girlfriend and three friends. Excellent food and Rachaell our waitress was fantastic. We'd highly recommend Kushi, and if you get Rachaell as your waitress, you'll have a great time.
V.
Modern Japanese fusion cuisine. Great food and vibe! Highly recommended!
K. T. T.
Very nice cocktails! We loved the sushi rolls, karaage dishes, and toothfish. Everything was fresh and delicious. Would definitely dine here again
J. C.
Amazing food and delicious chili margaritas!!! The karage and sashimi were great. Will definitely be back
S. A.
Popular Japanese restaurant on the water at Barangaroo. Service was efficient and friendly with a good variety and all your favourites. The lunch time Bento boxes are very generous in proportion and you are offered the choice of brown or white. I couldn't go past the soba noodles with salmon though.
v. c.
Great food and drinks but need to train their waitress better. Few of them were really professional, some of them just wonders around doesnt put attention on customers when they want to ask for help. At least train them place the food in the centre of the table instead of place it on the edge and leave.
J. M.
Pretty nice food, and the service was very efficient. A little on the pricier side for lunch, but given the location, it might be fairly consistent with other local dinning options.
N. H.
Great food with fresh ingredients, the cocktails are a must try. The karaage chicken is absolutely delicious. A little on the pricey side, even for Barangaroo/inner city but would be great for a date night or work lunch
L. W.
Wow, what an amazing place! Came here for a birthday, food was to die for, staff were excellent! Thanks to all the staff that made it an incredible evening, you guys were great!! Would recommend to anyone! We'll be back very soon :)
B. S.
Great sushi and quick service, even though the booking system online said there was no availability we found a table easy enough.
R. N.
Food was really fresh and tasty! The wagyu tataki, sashimi tacos and oysters I would recommend highly. Great spot and meat was halal.
B. G.
Great location, best to always book as they get busy! Some menus are different to other Japanese restaurants..
B. B.
Good stop in for lunch. Fast service, quality Bento Box.
H. T. &. S. L.
We ordered the mixed plate with oysters, sushi and other goodies. The beer was ice cold, and the sake was nice and warm. Service was good.
A. S.
Food is quite good. The bento boxes are a bit different from the traditional ones but are worth trying out. Salmon in the box was cooked nicely. Sashimi could have been a bit fresher
N. J.
We've been a few times on the weekend for lunch, and the main negative to this restaurant is that they refuse to sell adult bento boxes on the weekend (they do sell adult boxes during the week, and they do sell kids bento boxes all the time). The irony is that even the adult staff dining here on the weekend order the kids bento box, because without adult bento boxes on the menu they're the best value, yet they refuse to sell the same thing to normal patrons (we've had this exact situation happen with staff eating at the table next to us). Without this, the value just isn't there, as it's $20 for a roll of sushi that by itself we find is just not enough to fill an adult, and $40/person for 2 rolls is too much to pay for lunch.
As a consequence we've only observed this restaurant 30% to 40% full at weekend lunches, and most tables seem to just share a few plates and have a drink and leave, and there's remarkably little food being ordered for the number of people. Yet make one small tweak and add an filling adult lunch option on the weekend (e.g. adult bento for ~$22), and it would be a 5/5 rating from me, and I'm sure there would be far more people eating here.
C. H.
Started off ok with kingfish sashimi and rainbow roll. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. The gyoza was full of water. When we asked the waitress if it was frozen she confirmed that it indeed was. Couldn't believe that they would let themselves down like that! The nasu dengaku was shocking. Nasu dengaku is one of my favourite dishes and I was pleased to see it on the menu here. What came out was nothing like any dengaku I'd had previously. It was horrible, quite simply. The miso cauliflower was marginally better. Overall a very disappointing experience.
S. W.
Group review: had a small group for a corporate Christmas luncheon. Was a bit hectic as table service was lacking. Assuming this was due to the time of season. Food was very good.
N. T.
Had dinner here last night & wow! Main stand out was the sashimi boat - large array of fresh sashimi cuts and oysters. The matcha ice-cream topped it off for me perfectly!
R. F.
Had a great lunch at this place with friends great service from a knowledgeable waitress.
The food was fresh & really tasty.
Good atmosphere and well worth tipping.

V. W.
You can order vegetarian food there.
A.
Great food and service! Highly recommend the sashimi platter, wagyu and toothfish. Would definitely go back!
J. G.
What an amazing restaurant! Perfect location, wonderful waterviews and most importantly it was the best Japanese food I have ever tasted! Very high quality in my opinion.
C. A.
Food and drinks were excellent with a great view on the water. On the pricey side, A$25 for a lunch bento box, but the atmosphere is worth it. Try the lychee cocktail for a refreshing drink on a hot day.
E. L.
Fresh seafood and good views
W. L.
I ordered catering for a party at my home from Zushi. The service, food and delivery were excellent! Amazing sushi and everyone loved it. Will definitely be ordering again. Thank you Zushi.
J. Y.
food was great and it was surprisingly quick for how busy it was. Really enjoyed the toothfish. staff was always checking up on us. will recommend to all.
H.
Food - 2/2
Ambience - 1/1
Vegan and Vegetarian options - 1/1
Service - 1/1
“Ohhh yumm” is the first thing which comes to my mind when I think about Zushi. Even though I’m a vegetarian and haven't tried seafood ever! The veggie bento box was AMAZING, the different varieties and flavour when came together, it felt like a carnival in my mouth. This restaurant is perfectly located opposite the Barangaroo ferry terminal and it’s a few mins walk from Darling Harbour. The outdoor seating area is excellent and the place isn't crowded during lunch time.
K. Y.
Food was good but staff have no idea how to process a birthday voucher. Keep asking where's the email when she's looking at the email. Clicked the email and clicked view online version to show her and she's still asking where's the email. -_- eermmm.... Asked if she wanted the printed one but she kept asking where's the email that was sent to us but she's looking right at it.
Is it not the email? :/ The one that says
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY We LOVE Birthdays and to help you celebrate we have a special present for you!
Bring your friends and family to dine with us and we will shout your part by taking $50 OFF from the final bill."
she was nice though but what is the email she's asking for if this is not the email??
A. J.
Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Sydney and the staff is always super friendly and kind!
L. Y.
Reasonably priced weekday lunch menu. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for bentos.
S. S.
Great food, atmosphere and staff!
E. B.
Really lovely atmosphere and location. My friends and I turned up after a big presentation ready for a drink and they were so happy to help us out! Really fantastic customer service, super friendly, and very welcoming.
K. K.
Had a midweek catch up with some friends recently and was extremely impressed with the quality of food and service from the team at Zushi! Super fresh sashimi and an amazing atmosphere. Will be back!
M. B.
Fairly good twist on sushi. expensive as most of the area is. Very good quantity with the sushi rolls. Enjoyable ambience
J. M.
Great food, great service.
r. e.
Friendly service, beautiful place and excellent food
R.
Such great food, service was amazing. Oysters need to be served cold is only downside, but not a deal breaker
G. K.
What I loved about this place was that they have a separate vegetarian / vegan menu almost all of which tastes quite good. Excellent ambience and amiable service.... Who can complain
L. L.
Squeezed us in without a booking, friendly and attentive service, awesome location, beautiful food. Kingfish sashimi and Sashimi tacos are standouts. These guys are doing a great job.
L. A.
Excellent fresh sushi in a great location. Also a great selection of Saki if you enjoy a glass. We were a group of 6 and the service was great.
J. M. (.
I was ready to get my sushi, no doubt. I was hoping for a few fish options, but what we got was delicious. A definite place to stop at if you’re in Barangaroo.
G. B.
Fantastic food. Great service. All round brilliant experience. Thank you
J. B.
Cute little spot along the water with under cover and out the front seating. Delicious food and drinks, affordable with great quality. Would definately eat here again
D. S.
Great selection of fresh sushi and alcoholic beverages. Menu is quite extensive with traditional Japanese dishes. However, Service was quite slow
T. F.
So good! The outdoor seating in so great. Sushi is awesome quality and service was great. Who needs Sake now that this place is open? Better prices as well!
M. B.
Food is amazing! Fresh and very tasty
J. C.
Best sushi I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend this place
S.
I never had a meat based sushi (Wagyu?), and a huge portion size for a roll of sushi. So delicious!! As was everything we tried.
R. S.
The food was tasty and we'll prepared even though the restaurant was super busy. Some of the best sushi we've had.
A. H.
Amazing good, amazing views, amazing every time.
B. S.
We wanted something light for dinner and decided on Japanese and it was perfect. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. We will go back 🍽
S. A.
We had a great time tonight in Zushi surry hills.
Made a booking late in the evening for 10ppl. They were really accomodating. We had really good time, food and service were spot on.
Thanks a lot guys the great night.
B. C.
Food was great. Went there for a work dinner and the tasting menu. So much food so great value.
I. M.
Highly recommend the Kipfler Potatoes! I ordered them once as wild card dish as its not something I've seen on a Japanese menu. I don't know how they do it but they are incredible!
S. W.
Beautiful sushi & sashimi. Staff are lovely. Would recommend the chicken/cauliflower Karaage and the Buns.
A. A.
I've been here twice for dinner and have ordered different things each time and both experiences had been great. The staff are friendly and the food tastes great.
A. 2.
Service was great, setting and atmosphere was lovely and sake selection was good. The portions are small even for high end Japanese cousine standards.
R. Y.
Delicious, quick and well priced. Had a great late lunch here on a Friday afternoon and left feeling delightfully full and relaxed. 10/10, we will be back.
A. C.
A really nice spot for dinner with ocean views - they served great food with quick service, with modern covered outside seating - we had fish, chicken and lamb and they were all cooked to perfection!
Great place to go during a walk around Barangaroo after work or a day out
n. h.
Amazing food and service. The prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.
L. S.
Had the $85 tasting menu with extra wagyu steak dish. Enjoyed every dish ♡
L. S.
Yummy! Great service. Deeeeelicious food. Tick tick tick.
G. A.
Nice open space with good ambience. Food is prettty standard however nothing special. Ordered barramundi tiny serve for a main and no real additional flavour other than small dollop of wasabi. Overall average in terms of food and bit overpriced.
J. J.
Food and service was great!
H. T.
Food was very fresh, the staff was friendly. Would definitely come back!
E. T.
Great selection of bento, however they are only available at lunch time. The sushi selection is also great, as well as the wagyu beef and mushroom dish. The dessert selection is the only let down.
A. S. D. A. M.
Service was pretty quick and friendly and rolls were good but sushi was medicore.. rice was tasteless which I found a bit strange as its usually a bit vinegary and sweet
d.
Nice fresh sushi and sake flight, yum! Great view.
D. K.
Sensational Japanese cuisine. Honey prawns and sashimi tacos were the standouts!
E. Y.
I got in the restaurant at late so it was near empty. But I couldn't get any attention while I wanted some water, more ginger, and even when I wanted to pay for it. But overall service and food was okay.
H. S.
The views are fantastic and great for people watching. Food on the other hand whilst presented well and tasted a little above average but way way overpriced.
N. G.
Lovely food and really amazing service. Try the eggplant!
A. M.
The food is always great. Sashimi perfect and fresh. It's a nice spot for dinner and drinks. Try the zushi sake shot and pork gyoza.
M. O.
As always this place never disappoints. Barangaroo is my favourite and the food is exceptional quality. Cocktails are also a hit!
K. T. T.
Very nice cocktails! We loved the sushi rolls, karaage dishes, and toothfish. Everything was fresh and delicious. Would definitely dine here again
M. S.
Quick service and delicious food.
Even on a cloudy day It's still a lovely spot to dine at.
O. R.
Great service and yummy food. Lunch menu is great value.
K. D. L.
I have had dinner here a number of times and it has always been great.
The seafood is always fresh and the dishes are delicious.
I have also tried the degustation menu. It is fantastic and very delicious. A great way to sample many flavours from the chef. The surprising thing is that this degustation menu was very filling! We were full midway and were surprised that more "rounds" were coming!
There are great views, great location, and great food. Accordingly be prepared to spend some $$$ as this place is moderately expensive.
D. A. H.

I never had a meat based sushi (Wagyu?), and a huge portion size for a roll of sushi. So delicious!! As was everything we tried.
I. H.
Lovely fresh food. Very noisy. Service was average and all dishes arrive at once which was very frustrating.
A. B.
Excellent vegan sushi! Lots of options. We’re definitely gonna come again
T. A.
The sushi we had was on an entirely different level from any other sushi I've had before. Completely shattered my mindset of "how much better can sushi really get?"
M. K.
Food was great, it just felt a little lacking in ambiance.
T. B.
Got the $75 tasting platter which was great value for money. Lots of variation, great quality and left feeling full.

Great sushi. Must get the miso soup and try the Wagyu beef sushi.

Expensive but reliable. You'll be satisfied if you go, but head elsewhere if you want something truly special.

Staff: aren’t snakes as some of your friends are
Food: more superb than your girlfriend’s
Serving speed: faster than Usain Bolt
Atmosphere: like you are in bed with your loved ones
But:
Sake: you have to warm them up like how you do every day with your gf
N. T.
awesome food & service and very reasonably priced compared to other venues of the same type!

Good sushi with fun variations like the "sushi taco" and wagyu roll. No fuss, outdoor, comfortable aesthetic.
